UCL Emperors Logo

Hello Christian,

I am the founder of the UCL Emperors. You recently removed our logo from the Wikipedia page. This logo was designed by the team and was given to me as a gift with no copyright attachment to it. I own the image now and wanted to use it to decorate our Wikipedia page and educate people about American Football in the UK.

I'm not very adept at touching up Wikipedia pages (it's all kind of foreign to me), so I was wondering if you could place the logo back on the page.

• Je présume que vous voulez parlez de cette image que j'ai éffacé : File:Photo livres Mireille Sanchez.jpg. Malheureusement cette photo est une oeuvre dérivée, car elle montre les couvertures de plusieurs livres. Une autorisation du ou des propriétaires des droits d'auteur, très probablement l'éditeur, doit etre envoyé à OTRS. Si la permission est jugée valide alors l'image sera restaurée. • Hi, I assume you talk about File:Ben Salomo 2015.png uploaded by Mazzelman, the image have been previously published in the web, in several places and in much higher resolutions, e.g. there. We must have a free source or the copyright owner of the photo must send a permission to OTRS, and if the permission is valid the file will be undeleted. The uploader uploaded 2 times the same photo, and 2 times it have been deleted, the third time will likely lead to a block of the account. • Bonjour, les livres, ainsi que leur couvertures, sont protégés par le droit d'auteur, et seuls les ayants droits ont le droit de (re)licensier leurs oeuvres (chose que nous faisons ici lorsque nous téléchargeons une image). Une photo de livre est une oeuvre dérivée de ce livre, et les droits d'auteur du livre se répercutent sur la photo. Dans le cas de livres, les maisons d'éditions ont souvent leur mots à dire, et peuvent souvent détenir des droits sur les livres qu'elles publient. Quoi qu'il en soit, pour toute oeuvre qui a déjà été publiée d'une manière ou d'une autre, nous requérons que les ayants droits, envoient une permission à OTRS, ou vous pourrez lire les instructions sur comment procéder. Bien sur, avec plaisir, j'essayerai de prendre des photos du départ ou du démontage, bien que si le départ se fait pendant mes heures travail ça va etre dur... et j'ai pas un patron très cool... En cherchant des infos je suis tombé sur france3-regions qui utilise une de mes images, non seulement sans me citer mais en apposant un joli © D.R, moi c'est CF! Si tu apprends une date potentiel du départ n'hésite pas à me prévenir. J'essayerai de toutes façon de faire quelque bonnes photos de plus tant qu'il est à quai. Merci de la rapidité de réponse J’ai demandé à Christine Bossard de me tenir informé si elle avait plus d’infos, je te tiendrais au courant. Robin des Bois a été plus cool que France 3, ils ont pris une de mes photos (que je leur avais envoyée en mail il y a plus d’un an), mais ils ont mis mon crédit (page 11). Par contre, j’avais déjà eu le cas du vol de photos en mai, avec la mairie de Challes-les-Eaux qui avait réutilisé une de mes photos de l’église de Challes-les-Eaux pour les flyers et posters de Mai en Musique sans aucun copyright (le pire, c’est qu’ils me connaissent, puisque j’y suis souvent...).

Christine Bossard ne m’a pas donné de nouvelles, donc je suppose qu’elle n’a pas eu de nouvelles infos.
Je ne sais pas si tu as su, mais il y a eu un "pépin" avec le Cettarames, donc son départ avait été abandonné. Annick m’a dit que 2 personnes étaient intéressés pour le reprendre, mais c’est encore à l’étude. (il était question qu’il soit converti en théatre en septembre 2015, mais le second naufrage avait fait coulé le projet. Je ne sais pas si c’est ce projet qui est revenu) Je te tiendrais au courant quand j’aurais plus d’infos.

Merci par avance pour les photos du Cettarames Quant à l’Edoil, c’était un cargo abandonné à Sète pendant de nombreuses années (on le voit derrière le Bni Nsar sur cette photo). Il a été détruit sur place pendant l’hiver 2013/2014 (on voit deux photo des première découpes sur cette page).

Please excuse me spamming you. As a regular on Feature Picture Candidatess you will recognise User:The Photographer, who has 86 Featured Pictures. His contributions cover the architecture and culture of Brazil and Venezuela. He has basic photographic equipment: an old D300 camera and 35mm lens, and lives in a poor country where photographic equipment is expensive. The Photographer has recently taken several images using the technique where multiple frames are stitched together to create a high-resolution panorama. However, many times frustrated with the stitching errors that result from trying to take such photos without a proper panoramic head for his tripod. This special equipment permits the camera to be rotated around the entrance pupil of the lens, and eliminates such errors. Having a panoramic head would greatly increase the potential for The Photographer to create sharp high-resolution images for Commons. In addition, the purchase of a fisheye lens would enable 180 × 360° panoramas to be taken, which are a great way to explore a scene as though one is really there.

GENRENALE deletion

Dear Christian,

you have deleted our GENRENALE logo recently. What do I have to do in order to get this logo listed here? We are the festival, our designer, who has the copyright on this logo and the name, has given us all rights to work with his work for us, this logo and everything. So there should not be any problems concerning copyright. How can we accomplish the listing of our logo here at wiki commons? Salut C'est moi Panama2014. J'ai été victime d'une attaque personnelle de la part de compte tendance CAOU dont l'un est un banni de Wikipedia. J'ai alors fait une RA qui n'a pas été traitée et le banni est venu me harceler. Je crois que la RA n'a pas été traitée car les propos tenus sont en français. Par ailleurs on assiste aussi à une désorganisation depuis commons. J'ai des diff. Pourrait on parler ? Pourriez vous faire quelque chose ? • Bonjour Didier, ça y est j'ai arrangé le modèle. Ton erreur a été de scinder le modèle en deux parties (cela se fait automatiquement). Ce que tu dois utiliser c'est la partie qui se trouve dans la section usage : {{Art Photo}}
  Autre chose, j'ai modifié ton en-tete car il avait pour effet de supprimer le cadre de la première partie, je l'ai remplacé par:

I'm open to any solution that the community comes up with, as long as it can actually be enforced... it simply being me watching to see if he follows the restriction I imposed is obviously not working. • @Revent: Don't worry, you do the job. The community can't fix Ad vitam æternam the mistakes of some users. The main issue is that in some clicks some users can gives to the community a lot of a very long investigation work that can consume a lot of time of several other users. We lack a platform to make people like them work, a framework that would prevent them from making mistakes that cost us time, but that allow them, if they wish, to research and to argue about PD images, which may be good for Wikimedia Commons. I mean a thing more structured than the VP, a kind of Wikiproject about PD images. A category like this should have a page (maybe the talk page or a subpage) that allow to gather all the discussions related to the topic (dr, vp discusion, all kind of other discussions...) to avoid to do several times the same investigations, or to allow to keep open discussion with complex issues. Such pages when they exist (if they exist one day) should be counted in a centralized location (Wikiproject), where discussions should be identified and accessible through according to several criteria (name of the people or film, year of creation...) a bit as for our categoy tree. FP Sets in FP galleries

Hi Christian,

Seasonal greetings from Denmark! I have spend som time this afternoon sorting all the unsorted entries in Commons:Featured pictures/Places/Interiors/Religious buildings (there were many).   • OK, Christian. I'll try to remember that next time - although it strikes me that the FP sets are pretty pointless if we expand them anyway in the galleries - not that I have any better ideas. But we have never had a good process for sets, where the entire process is thought out and supported by bots, galleries and POTD. Lalonde

Bonjour, Commons:Deletion requests/File:Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau & Bobby Lalonde at the 7th G7 summit..jpg me laisse quand même perplexe. Certes, la raison initiale de la demande de suppression n'était pas la bonne. Mais le seul fait que le proposant veuille retirer sa demande ne lui donne pas un droit de veto sur la discussion. Par contre, tous les intervenants, dans la discussion et sur le help desk, ont demandé au téléverseur de dire s'il était le photographe. Il a constamment éludé la question, ce qui est louche et laisse supposer qu'il n'a pas les droits sur la photo. J'aurais souhaité soit que la discussion reste ouverte jusqu'à ce qu'il réponde à la question ou, en cas de persistance à ne pas répondre, le fichier aurait pu être supprimé par précaution. -- Asclepias (talk) 18:17, 28 December 2016 (UTC)

Should you find any more of them, you may go ahead and tag them as {{Unknown}} sourced by yourself: if I did not add the source later, it means that I had not marked it down back then. Instituto Geográfico de Aragón

Buenas tardes Christian, Acabo de leer tu correo. He visto que se ha borrado el logotipo de la información que se ha creado sobre el Instituto Geográfico de Aragón. Cuando subí las imagenes a Commons pregunté a algunos bibliotecarios sobre el tamaño, tipo de imagen y resolución para que se visualizara correctamente el logotipo. Era mi principal preocupación porque había citado al autor del logo, que es el propio instituto y porque trabajo con la etiqueta de Template:Cuenta remunerada debe de tener. Pienso que esta institución , como otras muchas que hay en Wikipedia, debe de llevar su logotipo. Tengo permiso de la institución para publicar tanto el logo como las imágenes que considere. Comento esto porque la otra imagen que ilustra el artículo esta hecha por mí sobre imagenes de la Institución sobre las que no me han puesto ningún problema para que se publiquen. Todo lo contratio. Dicho esto, no sé si tengo que enviar un correo del Director aunque sea una cuenta remunerada. Es muy importante para mi trabajo poder publicar esta artículo lo más completo possible. Bonjour Christian, Je viens de lire votre e-mail. J`ai vu que le logo de la page crèe sur l'Institut Géographique d'Aragon a été supprimé. Quand je publiai les images à Commons, je demandai des bibliothécaires au sujet de la taille, le type et la résolution de visualiser correctement le logo. Il était ma principale preoccupation parce que j'avais cité l'auteur et aussi parce que je travaille avec le modéle Template:Cuenta remunerada. Je pense que cette institution, comme des autres, doit avoir son logo. Pas de problèmes avec les autorisations. Le logo a été créé par l`institut et je peux l'utiliser. Je dois vous envoir un e-mail de confirmation même si je travaille sous le modéle Template:Cuenta remunerada? En ce qui concerne l'autre image, j`ai fais la composition final. Il est très important pour moi de publier cette information aussi complète que possible

• Bonjour Zhora2007, malheureusement, le modèle n'est pas suffisent. En ce qui concerne cette image, elle est composée de plusieurs images, chacunes de ses images est un travail protégé par le droit d'auteur, et seuls les détenteurs de ces droits peuvent licencier leurs images. Soit ils l'ont déjà fait au cours d'une précèdente publication et nous devons voir cette publication comme preuve, soit ils doivent envoyer une permission à OTRS, ou vous pourrez lire comment procéder. C'est pareil pour les logos, ils nous faut une preuve Institut Géographique d'Aragon aurorise leur publication sous les licenses que nous utilisons. Bonsoir Christian, Malheureusement, je viens de voirque tous les images de la page de l'Institut Géographique d'Aragon ont été supprimées. Il y a quelques jours que le Directeur de l'Institut a envoyé une permission à OTRS, pour autoriser leur publication sous les licenses que vous utilisez. Nous avons reçu une cofirmation, mais les images ne sont pas encore publiées. Combien de temps il est nécessaire pour que les images soient réédités?? Je ne sais pas ce que dois-je faire. • Il y a une file d'attente assez longue pour les permissions, le travail esr effectué par des volontaires et cela peut prendre de plusieurs jours à plusieurs semaines, je n'ai pas accès à cette partie du projet. I contacted the studio and asked them to add the CC-BY-SA-3.0 on their works, which they did. The poster of the film is not a derivative of non-free work, it is the original work of the studio, which the studio licensed as CC-BY-SA 3.0.
