• Hello @Natuur12: , no thanks, in any cases for now, as I 'm not enough experimented in Commons policies. I do not know what to do with these tools except perhaps close the most easy DRs. I also have an amazing ability not to remain flexible (mellow) at all times, and I I'm often too impulsive and my words can be hard and exceed my thoughts. If one day I think I can really help my colleagues occupying this function, I'd be happy to nominate me myself. Thank you not to nominate me. Cettarames

Bonsoir, comment allez-vous?
J’ai commencé un brouillon il y a quelques jours afin de faire une page à l’association Cettarames, mais je n’ai pas de très belles photos du siège de l’association et du chalut, le Cettarames, situé au niveau de la gare SNCF. Pourriez-vous, si vous avez un moment, passez faire quelques photos avant le départ du chalut (je crois qu’il part aux alentours du 20 septembre) et éventuellement du petit train?

Anthony: bonjour, oui j'ai eu l'occasion de reprendre des photos mais j'ai eu des problems avec mon ordinateur, alors j'ai peut-etre perdus certaines des photos que j'avais faites, j'attends le verdict du réparateur, il est plutot optimiste et je devrais pouvoir récuperer le contenu de mon disque dur. Mais de toutes façon par sécurité, je suis retourné hier prendre d'autres photos du chalut, mais je serai dans l'incapacité de télécharger des photos pendant plusieurs jours. Ca ne fait rien, mais je sais que Mr Lafalla a tendance a changé régulièrement ses trains et je ne sais pas trop si il a prévu de le changer à nouveau (je crois que celui de l’année dernière était d’une autre couleur et il avait un "TGV" Akval (ce genre de train) en 2009 ou 2010.)
J’ai mis une photo il y a quelques semaines, mais je ne fais pas de très belles photos.

Ta photo n'est pas si mal que ça... Courant octobre le petit train ne roule plus que les après midi le mercredi et les week-end, si mon emploi du temps et la météo se mettent d'accord, j'arriverai surement à faire quelque tentatives... Je connais très bien l'endroit ou tu as prise la photo car c'est en partie mon lieu de travail : je livre les boissons, vins et autres bières au restaurants qui sont situés juste en face... Désolé, je viens seulement de voir ton message, je ne suis pas très actif sur ce compte depuis quelques jours (j’ai aussi le compte Le Transbordeur pour importer des photos avec des autorisations OTRS)
Merci pour ton avis sur la photo et pour les infos concernant le petit train. Je ne connais pas beaucoup l’organisation du train à Sète, je n’y suis jamais hors saison touristique (juillet-août). On s’est peut-être déjà croisé, je vois souvent les camions de livraison garés le long de la route en milieu de matinée.

The second does show the image, but without licence. The first had the image with licence, but it has dissappeared. It WAS there when I uploaded it. If you search on BOLD Systems you will see that images by 'Unspecified, University of British Columbia' are all licenced under a CreativeCommons - Attribution licence. Is there a way to get an 'auto'-reviewed status on commons (similar to autopatrolled for new articles on wikipedia)? I made some mistakes when I first started uploading files on commons many years ago (I was not aware of the restrictions regarding CC-NC), but I think I haven't uploaded anything that was not allowed for years, so I might be eligible for such a 'auto'-reviewed status. Something that I thought of later. My camera was a Panasonic Lumix TZ7, not a brilliant camera for taking pictures of documents. One of the reasons why I stopped using it was you could only take pictures in what Panasonic called 'compact quality' format; this produces a highly compressed image. It doesn't make a great deal of difference in normal use but when used in macro mode for documents, then I found it sometimes created image artefacts due to the JPEG compression. Could that be responsible for what you thought was manipulation?

@Wee Curry Monster: I do not think you have manipulated the image or whether it comes from your camera. I'm really sorry having so quickly jumped on this conclusion. I think the old map you took the photo have been restored but this restoration was not made in the rules of art, hence only very small parts are not colored correctly or there are small gaps colors in places. This does not mean, I insist on it, the map is false and that the information we find are false, it just means that the person who made the restoration does not do its job properly to 100%. Obviously all this is based on my observation of your photo and there is of course still a chance I'm wrong I'm wrong because I'm not an expert on old maps or waste paper. I believe in your good faith on this picture and the historical version that you defend. I salute your courage to try to defend what you believe to be the historical facts and I tend, myself, to be convinced by your version. I hope I did not put in a difficult situation by saying that your photo has been manipulated you. Your fight to restore a fair/true description of the other file is noble but if your opponents do not want to hear your views I advise you not to put yourself in a difficult situation. Unfortunately, the story started badly because you tried to download/overwrite your image on the other and I think that has partly contributed to rob other users. The only thin I can really do is, if you have shoot your photo in RAW, that you send me a copy of the RAW and I might say so or not, once and for all, that you actually have not changed your image. --Christian Ferrer (talk) 06:05, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

I don't believe the Lumix series gives you the option of RAW format, its a JPEG only (I really am an amateur when it comes to photography). I'm pretty sure the colour gaps are original and a feature of the original lithograph process; it was printed a 140 yrs ago. Please take a moment to read the Commons:Administrators page and watchlist related pages (in particular Commons:Administrators' noticeboard and its subpages), before launching yourself into page deletions, page protections, account blockings or modifications of protected pages. The majority of the actions of administrators can be reversed by the other admins, except for history merges which must thus be treated with particular care. Have a look at the list of Gadgets (on the bottom there are the ones specifically for admins – however, for example the UserMessages are very helpful too).
