If you're the copyright holder of the image (for reference, the photographer who takes a photo is generally considered to be the copyright holder), then follow the instructions at COM:OTRS#Licensing images: when do I contact OTRS? and email a consent email to Wikimedia OTRS. You can find an example of the type of email you should send at COM:ET. Once you do that an OTRS volunteer will assess the claim of copyright ownership. If there are no problems, the reviewing OTRS volunteer will add the template {{OTRS permission}} to the file's page.

You should send the email from some kind of official email address as opposed to using a free email address like gmail and you should provide as much information about the photo as possible (e.g. when it was taken, who took it) to make verification easier. Only OTRS volunteers will be able to access the email and they are not allowed to reveal specific personal information contained in such emails; so, you don't need worry about your personal information being posted anywhere on Commons. You should also try and upload the original photos (not scanned versions) you took to Commons since most digital cameras (if that's what you used) attach COM:EXIF data to files which can sometimes aid in verification of copyright and authorship, etc. You can send a single email for all of your files if you want; just make sure to include the respective file names (or URLs) in your email. Once the email has been sent in, you should received an automated reply from OTRS. This reply will contain an OTRS ticket number. You should keep a record of this number because it you can use later on if you have any questions about your email or files.

The whole OTRS verification process can sometimes take some time to be completed; so, don't worry if the file's licensing is not verified right away. Once the email has been received and entered into the system, an OTRS volunteer should replace the {{No permission since}} template I added to the file with the template {{OTRS pending}}. This will stop the file from being deleted for at least 30 days while OTRS is verifying the email. If, however, the file is deleted by a Commons administrator before then, don't panic; deleted files are only hidden from public view and the file can be easily restored once its license has been verified.

Finally, one last thing about Commons is that it will not accept files licensed with "for Wikipedia use only", "for non-commercial use only", "for non-derivative use only", etc. types of restrictions per COM:L. By uploading your photos to Commons under one of the licenses that Commons accepts, you are basically giving your permission in advance to anyone anywhere in the world to download the photo at anytime and use it for any purpose (including ways that you might not like), and you're giving this permission basically forever. Please don't logout and then try to use IP address like User:2409:4043:2595:1720:CFF6:D408:B123:E23B to remove the templates added to the file's page. That's not going to stop a Commons administrator from reviewing the file and will likely only be seen as sockpuppetry. Trying to use multiple accounts to get around Commons policies and guidelines will only likely lead to not only your main account, but also all of the other accounts blocked by an Commons administrator. Well first of all that i am a new user and i am really confused with all these copyright issues. For this raeson i tried differwent approaches to upload a picture that is freely available. I will be much clear now. By all means, i do not mean to violate the copy rights.
