Sources used for Dvaravati Map

Hi there, I was wondering if you could explain the sources and/or methodology for your map, which seem quite mysteriously to align very closely with Thailand's modern borders despite being a kingdom that existed more than 1200 years ago. I have recently been questioning such things (example) on Wikipedia as I am writing a history of the region and what I read offline does not always accord with what I find here.
