Gajasimha and Makara

[edit]

Hello Heinrich, I see you are in disagreement with Vittorio Roveda, Images of the gods: khmer mythology in Cambodia, Thailand and Laos, River Books, 2005, ISBN 974 9863 03 8; he makes a distinction between the two (Gajasimha and Makara), but says they are a variant of each other. Not being an expert myself, I have no opinion. Take care Dom (talk) 16:34, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dom. Well - maybe there is not such a difference in Cambodie between those two. But in Thailand there is! Please compare thes tow pictures: Gajasimha and Makara (Makara is the one, that "swallows" the Naga). --hdamm (talk) 13:17, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kinnari and Kinnara, etc...

[edit]

Heinrich No objection in merging them. BTW, I always appreciate your interventions to clean up a bit my pictures and the categories I create (I am still quite young with Wikimeida). Thanks. Dom (talk) 16:37, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
