Category:Bezirk Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg in the 19th century[edit]

der wurde erst 2001 durch zusammenlegung von Kreuzberg und Friedrichshain geschaffen, siehe Bezirk Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Extra kategorien für die alten bezirke anzulegen halte ich allerdings für unpraktikabel. Gruss --anro (talk) 13:41, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Praktikabel ist es möglicherweise nicht, extra Kategorien anzulegen. Allerdings entsteht hier für Leute die nicht in Berlin aufgewachsen sind der Eindruck, das der Bezirk in Wirklichkeit viel älter ist. Bewusst oder nicht, entsteht hier vielfach ein falscher Eindruck, ähnlich wie eine Category:Bundesrepublik Deutschland in the 19th century ja völlig falsch wäre. Für mich als Berliner (Spandauer) ist besonders schwer zu schlucken, das die neue Bezirksgrenze auch auf die Zeit der Teilung Berlins angewendet wird. Die Sektorengrenze verlief, von Gebietsaustauschen mal abgesehen, immer entlang der Bezirksgrenzen. Hier ergibt sich der Eindruck diese würde mitten durch einen Bezirk hindurch verlaufen. Wie es sich mit den einzelnen Bezirken vor 1920 verhält, wäre auch noch zu klären. Bei der Category:Bezirk Treptow-Köpenick in the 19th century zum Beispiel handelt es sich, wie bei Spandau auch, um bis 1920 völlig unabhängige Ortschaften. Hallo AnRo, ich habe diese von Dir erschaffene Kategorie gerade erste entdeckt, wollte begeistert hineinkategorisieren - und stoße schon auf ein Definitionsproblem bei grenzüberschreitenden Flüssen/Zuflüssen.

  • Muss der Fluss ganz oder teilweise in Deutschland liegen (Tributaries by river in Germany)?
  • Muss der Zufluss ganz oder teilweise in Deutschland liegen (Tributaries by river in Germany)?
  • Was ist, wenn sowohl Fluss als auch Zufluss ihre Qellen die Deutschland haben, der Ort des Zusammenflusses aber im Ausland liegt?

Hallo Ies, Größere Flüsse wie Rhein oder Elbe würde ich grundsätzlich in der übergeordneten Kategorie belassen. Kleinere Flüsse würde ich da hineinpacken nur wenn sie wirklich größtenteils in Deutschland liegen und die die meisten Zuflüsse in Deutschland hat. I don't understand how you can say this work is 2D. As I stated: this is a part of a krater, and a piece of a 3D object is still 3D. All similar items I asked deletion for were deleted. This picture was very retouched (background removed, no reflects, color improvements, see the original file), which can give the impression of a flat faithfull reproduction, but it is not the case.

Category relationship[edit]

I'm a bit confused by the placement of Category:California adobes inside Category:California Historical Landmarks. Is this a specific grouping of landmark buildings (in which case it probably should have an explanatory note) or not (in which case the hierarchy seems odd: surely there can be an adobe building in California that is not a landmark). I ask because I just was trying to categorize File:Old Town San Diego State Historic Park 03.jpg. The building is an adobe, and is a landmark, but if "California adobes" is a more specific grouping, I have no idea whether it belongs.

I'm also a bit confused by the placement inside Category:Houses in California; I would think that structures other than houses can be made of adobe. - Jmabel ! talk 23:45, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jmabel I was just following the categories at en.wikipedia. As far as I understood "California adobe" is a term for a specific type of a building, not only an adobe building but something like a historic plantation or a mission. --anro (talk) 19:45, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You might (or might not) want to look in at en:Wikipedia talk:WikiProject California#Landmarks question. So far, they seem to agree with me that this was poorly done, although no one has yet changed the categories on en-wiki. Undestroyed Castles[edit]

welches Kriterium ziehst Du heran, wenn Du eine Burg/Schloss in die Kategorie "Undestroyed Castle in..." einsortierst. Hier kam die Frage für mich auf. Das Zollernschloss wurde in den 1930er-Jahren totalsaniert. D.h. komplett abgebrochen und unter Verwendung von Originalteilen komplett neu aufgebaut, aber auch in der Innenraumgestaltung und der Unterkellerung neu gestaltet. Es mag also heute so aussehen wie in der Frühen Neuzeit (Mittelalter wäre ich schon nicht mehr so sicher). Wird es dadurch aber zu einem "undestroyed castle"? Ich fürchte, dass solche Restaurationsbemühungen auch bei vielen anderen "unzerstörten Burgen" stattgefunden haben, ohne jetzt jede einzelne einer Einzelfallprüfung zu unterziehen. Ich will dich aber auch nicht einfach so revertieren,da ich Deine Kategoriesierungsbemühungen ansonsten anerkennen will. --Wuselig (talk) 10:40, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Das Zollernschloss habe ich aus der Kategorie wieder herausgenommen da mir das nicht bewusst war. Categories by letter[edit]

Problem with categories build in template[edit]

Hello, I have a problem to adapt a few categories with name Basque Country to categories with name Basque Autonomous Community, see Category:2000s architecture in the Basque Country and Category:2010s architecture in the Basque Country. Städtevorlagen[edit]

Hallo AnRo, mir ist gerade aufgefallen, dass Template:Kiel und Template:Lübeck in der jetzigen Form nicht zum Rest der mehrsprachigen Ortsvorlagen passen. Kannst Du die beiden nach einem passenden Schema umbenennen, so dass die reinen Namensvorlagen „Kiel“ und „Lübeck“ ebenso wie {{Hamburg}} > Hamburg direkt eingebunden werden können? Hi bdk. die Templates Lübeck und Kiel werden allerdings ganz anders verwendet und nicht für mehrsprachige Ortsvorlagen. Ein anderslautendes Template für mehrsprachige Ortsvorlagen erstellen würde viel Arbeit ersparen da v.a. das Lübeck-Template schon hundertfach genutzt wird. --anro (talk) 15:20, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Jo, das hatte ich in der Vorschau gemerkt, als ich wie gewohnt {{Kiel}} verwenden wollte, und deshalb frage ich ja :-) So wie's ausschaut, sind die Mehrsprachen-Vorlagen deutlich weiter verbreitet und bereits fest etabliert (da intuitiv nutzbar), während es bei diesen Zeitnavigationssachen wie z.B. hier auch anders gelöst werden kann und keine Notwendigkeit für diese Einfach-Benennung gegeben zu sein scheint. Du hast da aber sicher den besseren Überblick, daher wollte ich es einfach ansprechen und Dir die Entscheidung überlassen. Momentan betrifft's offenbar nur diese beiden Städte. Also besser jetzt (wie auch immer) anpassen/vereinheitlichen als später, dann macht's nur noch mehr Arbeit, oder? I follow the cat-tree Category talk:Basque Country/Category scheme Basque Country; the Basque Country is categorised as an Euregio and the The Northern Basque Country is defined in fr:Pays Basque (aménagement du territoire). I am trying to separate out the Basque Country items according to this cat-tree, taking account of the dichotomy Spain/France. On the french side, the dichotomy follows for the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department the division in the Northern Basque Country and more or less (discutably:) Béarn. Bei Category:Bahnhof Gießen hast Du {{Category redirect|Hauptbahnhof Gießen}} eingefügt. Nun habe ich keine fanatische Meinung in der Sache, weiß, daß die DB sich eine Umbenennung vergolden ließe, auch wenn schon heute das Verkehrsaufkommen den Hbf rechtfertigte. Gut. In real life wäre ich ja durchaus für "Hauptbahnhof Gießen" (wenne's nicht so teuer wäre), aber hier in WP wäre das halt Begriffsfindung. Das mit den zwei Kategorien hatte ich verbrochen, ich hatte halt "Bahnhof Gießen" eingeführt, wo schon "Hauptbahnhof Gießen" als Kategorie existierte. there is already a template for 'pantings by year' (see Template:Paintingcat) but I guess you mean 'photographs by year'. Kategoriesation der Kirchen in Polen[edit]

Guten Abend. Seit einigen Monaten habe mich in der Freizeit unter verschiedenen IP mit der Kategoriesation der Kirchen in Polen und zuletzt auch in Weißrussland beschäftigt. Nun, jetzt zum "Ergrauen" habe ich festgestellt daß jemand Alles wieder umkrempelt. Es geht um die Bezeichnung powiat statt vorher county z.B "Churches in Sztum county" und jetzt "Churches in Sztumski powiat". Bis jetzt dachte ich daß es bei commons vor allem um international verständliche Sätze geht, aber jetzt sehe ich daß langsam Süppchen nach eigenem Rezept gekocht werden. Habe mich extra an Sie gewendet (da Sie 1. auch bei der Kategorisation mitgemacht haben und 2. nicht die polnische Sprache nicht beherrschen). Die Bezeichnung "powiat" ist eigendlich nur im polnischem Sprachraum bekannt bei den Tschechen ist es (glaube ich) "kres" im deutschsprachigem Raum "Kreis", bei den englischsprachigen "county" und bei den Russen "Rajon". Begriff "county" ist allgemein in der Welt bekannt im Gegensatz zu den Anderen deswegen bin ich ganz, ganz platt daß die Änderungen gegen Logik durchgesetzt werden. Es ist mir klar daß in Polen keine Grafschaften gibts, nicht desto trotz werden in der polnischen Literatur us-amerikanische county's doch powiats genannt. Wieso also doch nich umgekehrt ? Was passiert als Nächstes ? Werden etwa "voivodeships" (die unter diesem Namen nur in Polen gibt) etwa in "wojewodztwo" umgeschrieben. Oder "Churches in Land XXXX" in "Kirchen in Land XXXX" oder "Kostely in Land XXXX" ? usw. Würde mich Freuen falls Sie die Zeit finden konnten, sich der Sache anzunehmen um eventuell irgenwelche vernünftige Regel und Lösungen zu finden. Schließlich (meiner Meinung nach) geht es hier vor allem um Verständigung auf dem internationalem Level damit die Möglichkeit entsteht den Meisten das Angebotene verständlich zu machen. Kategorien Rostock[edit]

Hallo AnRo0002, ich bin gerade dabei, Kategorien zu schubsen. Dabei fiel mir Category:1986 in Stadtmitte (Rostock) als etwas sehr kleinteilig auf. Meinst du nicht, Category:Stadtmitte (Rostock) in the 1980s wäre hier ausreichend? Riesige Bildermengen erwarte ich vorerst nicht und nur dann wäre eine weitere Aufteilung sinnvoll. the simplification was: you can write now {{IndianaArc|192|7}} instead of

Church bells in Germany by year[edit]

Hi, ich habe versucht, mit deinem template zu Church monuments einen analogen Kategorienbaum für Kirchenglocken in D anzulegen, bin aber nicht sicher, ob ich da alles richtig mache. zunächst, Kirchenglocken in Deutschland nach Jahr zu sortieren halte ich vorerst für Unfug. "Church monuments" gibt es tausendfach mehr als Kirchenglocken und da kann bald jedes Jahr von 1200 bis dato erfüllt werden, aber ich schau es mir mal an. --anro (talk) 00:10, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Eine zeitliche Einordnung der Glockengüße halte ich schon für zweckmäßig, weil es sie die Zuordnung zu den Gießereien erleichtern kann. Vielleicht sollte man hier zunächst ein 10er Prinzip im Sinne von Selbstbeschränkung andenken und zunächst nach Jahrhunderten kategorisieren und erst wenn 10 pro Dekade vorhanden sind, auf Dekaden runtergehen, für Einzeljahre dann entsprechend. Wir kämen dann bei den vielfach grenzüberschreitend arbeitenden Gießern dazu, das wir über die Epoche wieder zueinander bekämen, was über Church bells nach Bundesland auseinandergerissen wurde...--Kresspahl (talk) 08:42, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
