Strepsiceros is a genus of antelope in Africa. The best known species in this genus is the Greater Kudu (Tragelaphus strepsiceros). The Greater Kudu is an imposing species of antelope found in the eastern and southern regions of Africa. With impressive spiral antlers that can reach up to 1.8 metres in length in males, the Greater Kudu is a fascinating sight. These antelopes mainly inhabit forests, dense scrublands and semi-deserts. Their grey fur with white stripes and markings serves as effective camouflage in their habitat. |
