The domestic chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) is a domesticated subspecies of the Bankiva chicken and one of the best-known farm animals in the world. It is a flightless bird that comes in different colours and shapes, depending on breed and breeding line. Domestic chickens are social animals that usually live in groups or flocks. They are known for their ability to use a variety of vocalizations and body language to communicate.
