Capreolus capreolus, the roe deer, is a species of ungulate of the Cervidae family in Europe, North Africa and parts of Asia. It has a characteristic reddish-brown coat in summer and grey coat in winter. Roe deer are shy herbivores and inhabit open forests and meadows. |
