Question...

So, Luigino Bracci Roa (someone who I use for a source of some files) works for "Alba Ciudad 96.3 FM, emisora del Ministerio de la Cultura". Technically, all of the government files Luigino is sharing is part of their duty, so in turn, it would be the Ministry of Culture sharing these files on YouTube? I added the "Venezuelan Ministry of Culture" bit to his mention as a source to hope clear things up.--ZiaLater (talk) 03:04, 28 May 2017 (UTC)

ZiaLater I know face to face this guy. He was a old member (like me) of linux user group of Venezuela before the "bolivarian revolution". After he began to work in Canaima Linux Distribution, I left this group after its radicalization. I tried to incorporate Kiwix into Canaima, however, this is a not was approved because it actually Began to become a government bolivarian propaganda project. Also, Luigino Bracci began like a left-wing articulist in Aporrea and he descrive himself like a "Defensor del Socialismo Bolivariano y el Conocimiento Libre".[1] IMHO he is just using the radio servers and a bot to upload a big quantity of videos (copyrighted material) from VTV, TNT and others chanels using differents youtube accounts. In any case, VTV and Venezuelan Ministry of Culture official youtube channels are not using creative commons, except for these two videos and could be nice upload. --The Photographer 16:10, 28 May 2017 (UTC)

Is it not part of his government job though? If he were uploading it through an attribution license on YouTube as part of his job (VENGOV), then it would technically be a government source. This would be similar to the Prensa Presidencial YouTube channel which also uploads works under an attribution license occasionally. It would be as if Maduro or any other official uploaded the government works to YouTube, since Luigino Bracci Roa is technically working for a government entity.--ZiaLater (talk) 06:55, 1 June 2017 (UTC)

Hi, about a year ago you uploaded many nature pictures from the BLM Flickr Account. Thanks for that. And you set the Category:Wilderness Areas of the United States. Did you confirm that all those images were taken in an actual Wilderness Area? Do you understand that this is a special class of nature protection areas, that is dedicated by a formal law by the US congress? This category is not for any place that looks like wilderness, but only for those designated areas. --h-stt !? 14:11, 13 June 2017 (UTC)

Copyright and use of images

Hi The Photographer,

I'm contacting you about the use of your images in my website (www.dixon.es).

I've got to admit that the different copyright and licensing agreements under which fotos are made available via Wikicommons seem a bit of a labyrinth to me, hence my contacting you directly.

If you have a look at the website you'll see that I've added some of your images ("https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=58314659"/"https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=32254576"/"https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=25258699"/"https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=22552194"/"https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=50650969") to a slider on the home page.

I'm not a programmer, and fighting with websites is a real trial for me. However, I've got this far, and I'd like to know how you'd like me to proceed with a credit (assuming that you're ok about my using the fotos in the first place, of course).

I did initially add credits to the fotos themselves, but they looked really poor in the standard slider that I've used, so I removed them and added a "Credits" link on the main menu, with intention of listing all the fotos that I've used along with the corresponding credit and link.

So, before I go ahead, I'd like to have your feedback about the idea, and of course about the use of your fotos.

International trucks

Unknown fungi3

Thanks for uploading File:Unknown fungi3.jpg and others. With species you can add value to the photo if you also add its location in the description. And the location also allows further categories to be added, such as Category:Fungi of Venezuela, if that is where it was taken. Dear JMK, Actually it was in a small island on Caribbean sea, Thanks so mucho for your recommendation, I added the Geolocation template and the category, this fungi was very common in this area, around 30 cm max of height.
