Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Hola, Manuchansu, el problema con este foto es que no es nada seguro que esté en el dominio público. Verás, la normativa aplicable a la fecha indica que una obra entra en el dominio público 80 años (no 70, como actualmente) tras la muerte de su autor. Si no existe información de autoría, son 80 años desde su publicación. La cuestión aquí es que no hay nada de información acerca de cuándo fue publicada. Ok Regiones Militares[edit]

Hola, perdona retraso me dan las tantas porque últimamente sólo puedo ponerme por las noches. Están muy bien tus argumentos tanto en lo relativo a los escudos de las regiones militares del 39 como a no extender en el artículo Regiones militares genérico. Únicamente una sugerencia, convendría, aunque no volvamos a repetir en un cuadro las regiones de la última reforma, de 1997, decir dentro del propio texto del artículo Regiones militares (General) que en 1997 se redujeron de 6 a 4 las regiones porque las pirenaicas oriental y occidental se fusionaron en una "Pirenaica" y se eliminó la levante sería bueno aclararlo, creo.

Además, si te pareciera bien, estaría muy bien que pudieras hacer artículos Region Militar Centro, Noroeste, Sur, Pirenaica Occ, Pirenaica Orient, Pirenaica y Levante, los de las de 1939 están muy bien. Creo que lo mejor es que no habría que repetirlos y si hay cambios de 1984 a 1997 se pueden crear dos secciones. Si finalmente te animaras sugiero que no se indique en estos artículos, a diferencia de las del 39, el número ya que salvo la I (Centro) y la II (Sur), el resto varía en 1997, indicando el número o números dentro del propio artículo ya que en los dos Reales Decretos figura numeración. Distintivo Guardia de Asalto[edit]

Hola, perdona el retraso he andado muy liado y no me he conectado hasta hoy. He visto tu petición, me gustaría hacerlo pero ando muy liado con provincias, ciudades y algunos extranjeros que me he comprometido. Si me pongo con distintivos y medallas del periodo republicano me veo también liado con los del franquismo y la restauración, y si ya ando liado... por eso no me puedo comprometer a hacerlo aunque lo pensaré cuando tenga las provincias y ciudades españolas hechas. Re: Propuesta mapa[edit]

Ese cambio no lo creo pertinente, porque se perdería mucha información; de hecho mi mapa está basado en ese que pones en mi discusión. Si fuera a hacerle algún retoque, mas bien consideraría cambiarle el título de "Marruecos" a "Magreb", porque si lo llamo "África Occidental" tendría un tíulo por demás erróneo, pues no se correspondería para nada con la localización verdadera de ese territorio africano.--Shadowxfox (talk) 23:08, 19 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Retratos militares[edit]

Quería comentarle una cosilla, y aunque hace tiempo que no hablamos, me alegro de saludarle. Como sé que a usted le interesan los asuntos militares venía a plantearle una cuestión:

Últimamente he subido a Commons bastantes retratos de militares y de otros personajes destacados del siglo XIX, y me encantaría poder seguir haciéndolo. En el Museo Naval de Madrid y en el Museo del Ejército hay centenares de retratos de militares de los siglos XVIII y XIX que sería bueno subir a Commons. En la categoría de pinturas del Museo Naval hay ya bastantes retratos, aunque sería bueno subir, si fuera possible, mejores versiones, porque las que hay son pequeñas:

Pero lo verdaderamente lamentable es la sección de pinturas del Museo del Ejército, porque apenas hay una docena de obras:

SEU[edit]

Hola He leído tu mensaje, siento no poder atender tu petición ya que ando bastante liado todavía porque con menos tiempo que antes tengo aún pendientes los escudos andaluces, además un usuario nuevo se ha dedicado a sustituir escudos con los colores del TVH y terminé muy tarde de arreglar la situación e informarle algo de las pautas para sustituir imágenes. No obstante, si te sirve de ayuda te comento. Si quieres hacer un escudo con el estilo que suelo usar puedes tomar el escudo o incluso este de Sodacan es mejor y aprovechar el blasón (en el de Cisneros) y la cabeza y alas del cisne (en los dos Cisneros y Enrique V de Inglaterra). Un poco costoso es el tema de la cabeza, el cuerpo puedes ir eliminándolo capa a capa porque no se ve en escudo y en cuanto al cuello tendrás que modificar la línea exterior primero y las capas luego para que quede estirado. Si haces el escudo con colores planos, como hace el taller, he visto que entre los mejores destaca este .

Respecto a los diseño he visto lo siguiente:

Disrupting editing[edit]

WP is a collaborative project and description was added by me the uploader because some Basque institutions and myself kindly agreed to release rights and upload according to CC license to share this with whomever wants to use it as required. An attempt to appropriate the image according to your POV, such as removing languages, as you did, will be considered disruptive editing, and act accordingly. Para que veas que no te guardo rencor :-), te paso esto: Guerra Civil. Tomo III (1936-1939). El acceso a las fotos está al final (Copia digital (Fotografías)) y como podrás ver, la licencia es una hermosa CC0, monda y lironda. ¿El problema? Bueno, fundamentalmente identificar las fotos (yo carezco de los conocimientos necesarios), pero es un recurso muy valioso y así no hay que andar discutiendo sobre licencias. Así que si tienes ganas y tiempo, puedes ir subiéndolas aquí. Hay ya una categoría al efecto: Category:CC-Zero from the Biblioteca Virtual de Defensa. La licencia es {{Cc-zero}} y, para mi gusto, dado que no he encontrado ningún aviso genérico de licencia, mejor incluye {{LicenseReview}}, para poder revisarlas (para mi gusto también, en la descripción incluiría la procedencia última y la signatura, que en este caso es Museo del Ejército y Biblioteca: MUE-202444) Que te cunda. --Discasto _talk 11:35, 4 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sobre las fotos polacas, buen recurso el de PD-EU-anonymous, aunque investigando la plantilla no parece que realmente esos 70 años existan en la legislación europea. Es solo una directiva que tiene que ser traspuesta en cada legislación nacional. Espero que en el caso polaco funcione igual (habrá que verlo). En todo caso sí te pediría que consignases correctamente la fuente. La fuente no es el Archivo Nacional Polaco sino el periódico o agencia que publicó las fotos (en caso de falta de autor explícito, como parece ser el caso). Hola, Manu, ya lo veremos tranquilamente cuando vuelvas. No he podido acceder a la fuente de Seco (que parecería ser Seco y Tusell, en cualquier caso). Que el texto actual esté constituido en casi su práctica totalidad en fuentes independientes (con el "pero" de cierta ABC-dependencia; ^{nota: como creo que cuentas con una edición de The Spanish Holocaust en tu haber, es probable que pudieras referenciar que fue miembro de Acción Española con una fuente más historiográfica}) es un logro nada desdeñable teniendo en cuenta de dónde se partía y de los recientes meneos que ha ido recibiendo la entrada. Àngel Guimerà[edit]

Como administrador de cawiki me toca mediar con todo tipo de usuarios, y sobre temas de los que no tengo ni idea, para lo cual me debo a tomar opiniones basadas en fuentes y con el máximo de imparcialidad. En este caso he hecho lo mismo de siempre, viendo que hay un tema sobre el que se habla, me he documentado y opinado en funcion de las fuentes, que en este caso son muy claras. Yo me he retractado y modificado, o concedido modificaciones en muchas ocasiones en textos que he introducido cuando las opiniones de terceros han estado suficientemente acreditadas, aunque suelo siempre incluir las fuentes de todas las aportaciones. En este caso particular creo que los argumentos que ofrezco son muy, muy solidos.

El caso es similar al de autores como Calderón de la Barca o Góngora, o Shakespeare (por no buscar otros ejemplos menos notables históricamente) que ya han salido en la discusión, pues en su época las gramáticas de sus idiomas no estaban fijadas y la grafía de las palabras se hizo como creían correcta, pero con el tiempo la gramática se fijó, se crearon los diccionarios y las palabras fijaron e incluso cambiaron su grafía, como en los cuatro ejemplos. Lo que en español e inglés sucedió durante la ilustración, para el catalan tuvo que esperar unos siglos: durante la vida de Guimerà se fijó la primera gramática, y éste, como erudito y persona comprometida con su propio idioma, aceptó y adoptó la normativa que se impulsó, pero ten en cuenta que el primer diccionario que fijaba la manera de escribir todas las palabras se publicó en 1932, ya fallecido, con lo que lo que el escribía Angel quedó fijado como Àngel. Lo mismo que Calderón de la Barca escribía su nombre como Calderon de la Barca o Góngora como Gongora y convendrás conmigo que no tiene ningun sentido cambiarles el nombre del artículo por sus nombres prenormativos ya en desuso, o transcribirlos a otro idioma. --Panotxa (talk) 19:15, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sobre el tema de vivir en un mundo anglosajon, no estoy demasiado de acuerdo, en todo caso es una opinion.

Sobre el tema que nos ocupa, en todo caso, ya que hay disparidad de criterios, y muchas grafías alternativas (debido a que en su epoca no había grafía fijada) si no crees que su nombre en grafía normativa es la más precisa, como entiendo, se deberían estudiar los pros y contras de las diferentes alternativas, al menos las mas usadas, y si fuera tu, prescindiria del segundo apellido para no liar la discusión (¿particula si o no?, y en caso afirmativo, ¿y o i?), porque las posibilidades se multiplican, limitando las opciones a:

Angel Guimerá: Grafia prenormativa (1845-1917)
Angel Guimerà: Grafia normativa pre-diccionario (1917-1932)
Àngel Guimerà: Grafia normativa (1932-)
Ángel Guimerá: Transcripcion fonética en español
Angel Guimera: Grafia sin tildes

Yendo a la opción grafía sin tildes, para el personaje concreto, el caso es que muchas fuentes en inglés tienden a usar el nombre sin tildes, pero seguramente es debido a que no se usan en su idioma y facilitar la lectura, pero tambien es cierto que en la literatura especializada en inglés a menudo los nombres no aparecen acentuados (Calderón de la Barca, Velázquez, Góngora, García Lorca) o y sin embargo el nombre de la categoria en commons está como dice la grafía actual del nombre del personaje en su idioma natal, de manera que por analogía de casos con al menos esos personajes, parece que no tiene demasiada viabilidad, y limitaría, pues a las tres grafías sucesivas propias, y la transcripción al español, y particularmente creo que la intermedia, entre que se estableció que la "a" es una vocal abierta (1917) y se publicó el primer diccionario normativo (1932) tampoco tiene demasiado futuro, con lo que simplificaría a:

Angel Guimerá: Grafia prenormativa (1845-1917)
Àngel Guimerà: Grafia normativa (1932-)
Ángel Guimerá: Transcripcion fonética en español

Que si destaca no es por ello? Repasa su biografia y obra, por favor, que es uno de los grandes. Creo que te confundes conmigo. Lo qu ete he dicho es que si no estas de acuerdo con una denominación, la reviertes sin debate previo, y esa acción se demuestra controvertida, en ese caso el proponente (tu) debería abrir un debate para ver cual es la mejor opcion, y para que ganes tiempo te adelanto una propuesta por si te parece. Y además te doy mi punto de vista (nombres propios en el idioma local en version de hoy en día, que es lo que se hace en commons en general). Tu opinion hay que usar los nombres que establece la Encyclopaedia Britannica (las bibliotecas dan todos los nombres en todas las versiones, para este y otros personajes). Sólo algunas veces me "he metido" en asuntos de este tipo en todos mis años wikipedistas. Este caso me recuerda un poco como el que ocurrió en wikipedia.es. con el Monasterio de las Santas Cruces (Monasterio de Santes Creus), que ni los propios monjes conocían esa traducción. En fin la el buen hacer de los usuarios que intervenimos en ello llego a una solución correcta. Te pido que a la vista de todos los datos que te han aportado, que conserves el nombre conocido más correcto actualmente para bien de todas las wikipedias en todos los diversos idiomas. Primero gracias por la opinión que dices que tienes sobre mí. No es cuestión de aportar más datos, podrían hacerse interminables tanto hacia un lado como hacia otro de la discusión, todos aceptables. Según mi parecer, el caso que nos ocupa es el nombre que actualmente debe figurar en el artículo y en la categoría de Commons sobre un escritor de finales del XIX y principios del XX. Tu sabes de sobra por tu experiencia en en estos lares, que durante esas fechas la grafía catalana no estaba "normalizada" por lo tanto puedes encontrar muchos documentos con el nombre sobre todo de Angel Guimerà u otras formas de expresarlo. A partir de la nueva gramática catalana y su inclusión poco a poco (como siempre, ha sido normal en todas los idiomas) ya aparece siempre el nombre del escritor como Àngel Guimerà, este es el nombre que yo te pediría que volvieras a poner como el más correcto y el más usado actualmente. Mi situación actual hace que no pueda dedicar mucho tiempo a buscar links, que por otra parte, no creo que a ti te hagan falta.

Mi abuelo, un poco posterior a este escritor, se llamaba Jaume, en su casa, en el entorno de Cataluña donde se encontraba normalmente, pero por su trabajo se tuvo que desplazar mucho por el resto de las provincias españolas, donde sin más, en papeles oficiales aparece como Jaime y en algunos de los documentos que el firmó para estamentos oficiales del Estado Español también firmó como Jaime, pero él siempre fue Jaume, aunque cosa curiosa también en su tumba aparece el nombre de Jaime.
