Doua intrebari/probleme:

Ai cumva o image cu cladirea care o putem folosi?
Stiu ca e ok sa avem nume de imagini, probabil si de categorii in alte limbi pe Commons, dar mi se pare ca ar fi mai bine sa avem toate categoriile de muzee si monumente in engleza. Daca te uiti la Category:Museums in Romania by city, jumate sunt in engleza, jumate in romana. Eu as prefera engleza, in felul asta toti cei ce contribuie la commons ar gasi mai usor imaginile si categoriile. Oricum, as prefera sa fie totul intr-o singura limba. Acelasi lucru se intampla si cu Category:Muzeul Național al Hărților și Cărții Vechi. Multe institutii (dar nu toate) sunt in limba engleza si au acelasi nume cu categoriile care le corespund. Exemple Institution:National Museum of Transylvanian History, Institution:Byzantine & Christian Museum. O situatie similara de amestec romana/engleza se intampla si cu Category:Fortresses in Romania si multe alte categorii de acest gen. Tu ce zici? O sa deschid discutia si pe Village pump sa vad ce zice lumea.

Diacritice pe Commons[edit]

Salut. Stiu ca tu ai pus mult efort pe ro Wiki cu conversia diacriticelor. Pe en Wiki am vazut tot felul de conflicte si deocamdata pare nerezolvata problema. Dar care e sugestia ta pentru commons? Avem categorii de genul Category:Reșița in contrast cu Category:Night in Reşiţa. As vrea sa pun ceva la Commons:WikiProject Romania/Guidelines legat de asta. La en.wp am susținut că o standardizare este prematură. Vezi argumentele mele aici. Cam aceleași lucruri sunt valabile și la commons, mai puțin faptul că e o non-problemă. En.wp e strict în engleză, pe când commons vrea să fie multilingv. Dar atâta timp cât oamenii scriu 50/50 cu cele 2 tipuri de diacritice, orice efort de standardizare presupune acțiuni corective la un moment dat. O sugestie este însă binevenită, iar aceasta nu poate fi decât pentru diacriticele cu virgulă, nu numai pentru că ele sunt regula, ci și pentru că ele reprezintă metoda de input aflată în creștere. Dispozitivele mobile reprezintă un challenge pentru adopția noilor diacritice, însă ele au durata de viață scurtă - o schimbare în software se propagă în câteva luni, maxim un an la marea majoritate a utilizatorilor.--Strainu (talk) 22:38, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Am citit discutiile. Dar chiar daca utilizatorii continua sa foloseasca ambele variante, nu vad de ce bot-ul si gadget-ul de pe ro Wiki n-ar putea fi portate si pe en Wiki si Commons. Corectează - unde? :) La ro.wp e simplu, corectează peste tot (s-au făcut eforturi să marcăm denumirile turcești, dar tot au mai scăpat unele), pe când la en.wp și la commons doar o mică parte din pagini sunt românești. Când am făcut redirectări virgulă->sedilă la en.wp, am rămas cu o listă (analizată manual) de vreo 12.000 de articole din peste 3 milioane. La commons am avut aceeași problemă - am vrut să fac redirectări și lumea s-a opus pentru că nu puteam să identific automat paginile la care trebuie lucrat.

Pai ma gandesc ca bot-ul s-ar putea uita la tot ce e sub Category:Romania recursiv si daca gaseste o subcategorie, galerie etc. de genul Category:Night in Reşiţa sa o redenumeasca, mute si/sau sa faca redirect. Probabil ca va trebui sa aibe ceva lista de exceptii cu false-positives legate de Turcia, desi cred ca sunt minime si ar putea fi reparate manual dupa. De asemenea add-on de editor care corecteaza automat la salvare ar putea fi disponibil pentru editorii interesati atat pe en.wp cat si pe commons, ca optional. I had a bot going over all the subcategories of Category:Historical monuments in Romania and add the categories directly so no categorization was lost. Using a template to categorize images into topic categories is not accepted at Commons and it took me a lot of time to clean it up so please don't add it again. First of all, you should have discussed this before doing it, as you're not the one getting the complaints. Your general contempt against bot rules is causing more and more trouble.

Second of all, you're big on words here. Commons:Categories is neither a policy nor a guideline. Furthermore, the exact phrasing is "topic categories should not be added through templates", not "must not". Also, there are other templates that include topic categories, such as Template:Blason-fr-en.

Finally, the template is also used outside of Wiki Loves Monuments, when I have no guarantee that you will keep running your robot. So I'm asking you to put that category system back in place. Caractere româneşti la Wikimedia Commons[edit]

Am folosit caracterele ş, respectiv ţ la categoria Category:Biserica de lemn din Băișești, deoarece toate celelalte categorii cu bisericile de lemn din judeţul Suceava sunt cu aceste caractere. Dacă ai posibilitatea, te rog să rulezi un bot care să transforme ş în ș şi ţ în ț pentru toate categoriile cu bisericile de lemn din Suceava.

De asemenea, te rog să revizuieşti licenţa pentru două poze similare fotografiei cu biserica de lemn din Băişeşti. Este vorba despre fotografia cu numele RO_SV_Dumbrava_Granicesti_wooden_church.jpg de la Wikimedia Commons. Multumesc.

Mă refer la faptul ca toate subcategoriile din categoria Category:Wooden churches in Suceava County să îşi păstreze numele, însă ş şi ţ să fie transformate în caracterele corecte româneşti (ș şi ț). Aş face manual asta, însă este foarte mult, deoarece trebuie modificată categoria de la fiecare fotografie în parte.

Fişierele de la ro.wikipedia [1], respectiv [2] pot fi şterse deoarece ele se regăsesc la Wikimedia Commons.

Până la rularea unui bot care se uniformizeze subcategoriile din Category:Wooden churches in Suceava County, subcategoria Category:Biserica de lemn din Băişeşti o las cu caracterele ş şi ţ. Numai bine!

Redenumire Petrosani - Petroseni[edit]

Redenumirea fişierului care conţine stema din perioada interbelică a oraşului Petroşani () a fost realizată deoarece denumirea din perioada interbelică a municipiului Petroşani de astăzi era Petroşeni. Vezi documentul oficial (apărut în lucrarea Recensământul general al populației României din 29 decemvrie 1930, Vol. II), hărţile României interbelice din anul 1930 , respectiv din anul 1938 . De asemenea, pe pagina de wikipedia în română este menţionat: Istoria orașului Petroșani începe undeva pe la 1640, unde douăzeci de iobagi din Petros pot fi considerați primii locuitori ai acestui ținut. Comuna a purtat de la bun început numele de „Petroșeni”.

În afară de Petroşani, există şi alte oraşe care în perioada interbelică aveau denumiri diferite faţă de cele din prezent (asemănătoare sau chiar total diferite): Ploeşti (Ploieşti), Mercurea Ciuc (Miercurea Ciuc), Şimleul Silvaniei (Şimleu Silvaniei), Târgu Săcuesc (Târgu Secuiesc), Eforia (Eforie Nord), Carmen Sylva (Eforie Sud), Diciosânmartin (Târnăveni), Bazargic (Dobrici), Băile Slănic (Slănic Moldova), Cluj (Cluj-Napoca), Turnu Severin (Drobeta-Turnu Severin), Odorhei (Odorheiu Secuiesc), Sighet (Sighetu Marmaţiei), Suliţa (Noua Suliţă). La 2013-10-08 ai creat Category:Palatul Comunal Constanța pentru imagini cladirei al Muzeu de Historie Naționala și Arheologie. Acest nume "Palatul Comunal" nu pare utilizat prea mult; articolul în Wikipedia nu-l menționează, și alte surse zic că "Palatul Comunal" este un nume al Muzeului de Arta Populara:

Palatul Parlamentului[edit]

Bonjour Strainu. Si vous n'y voyez pas d'inconvénient, je préfère discuter en français sur un sujet aussi compliqué. Je vais essayer de clore moi-même la demande de suppression sur le Palais du Parlement. Le droit d'auteur roumain étant relativement proche de son équivalent français, je pense appliquer plus ou moins les mêmes critères pour départager les fichiers, en gardant notamment les panoramas généraux et les photos d'actualité (représentant un événement devant le palais, et non le palais lui-même). Au final, cela dit, la plupart des photos devront être supprimées. S'il est possible de les transférer sur la Wikipédia en roumain (sur la Wikipédia en français par exemple il y a une exception fr:Modèle:Bâtiment récent), il faudrait le faire rapidement. @Jastrow: je transfere toutes les images utilisees chez ro.wp aussitot que j'apprend l'existence d'une requete de suppresion. Donc les images deja utilisees sont en securite. Si vous voyez d'autres requetes de supression sur des images de Roumanie, vous pouvez me laisser un message, ou bien utiliser le script User:Strainu/ExCommons.js pour les evacuer. C'est une version du MediaWiki:ExCommons.js qui peut etre utilisee par quiconque, a tout moment (l'original est destine aux admins, au moment de la supression). Le modele equivalent chez nous est ro:Format:FOP Romania (ou pour un autre pays, ro:Format:FOP avec le pays comme parametre).

Je suis biensur d'accord que la plupart des images doivent etre suprimees, il n'a jamais ete question de la garder toutes - vous pouvez considerer un vote delete pour toutes les images que je ne mentionne pas dans mes interventions. Monument istoric[edit]

Because we usually use that tag (and similar ones) on subcats that are part of the designated entity, and even use it on individual images. - Jmabel ! talk 00:24, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, you shouldn't use it on subcategories, but only on the category best matching the monument. An exception is when the subcategory has a corresponding subcode (the ones with dot in the number).

The reason is that there are robots who use the code to categorize the images and also to add a category to the list (which in turn will allow future uploads to be categorized from the upload). If they find more than one category with the same code, they will just ignore it and the images will remain uncategorized.

Basically, the assumption is that if a category is tagged, all subcategories are also part of the monument.

Last night I removed codes from a bunch of categories in this case, so you might find other examples. --Strainu (talk) 06:05, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Comenduirea Garnizoanei[edit]

La File:Cazinoul Militar din Timișoara 01.JPG și File:Cazinoul Militar din Timișoara 02.JPG am schimbat descrierea. Nu este Cazinoul Militar, ci Comenduirea Garnizoanei („Generalatul”). Această clădire, situată pe latura de sud a pieței, nu este în LMI, deși ar trebui să fie, deoarece este una dintre cele mai vechi clădiri. Clădirea Cazinoului Militar, monument istoric, este pe latura de vest a pieței. Muzeul Militar este, într-adevăr, în clădirea comenduirii, nu în cea a cazinoului. A, nu e vina ta, ai luat informația de la cIMeC. Ei, ca sursa cea mai „de încredere”, știu greșit. Și de la ei au luat informația majoritatea site-urilor care se ocupă cu turismul, astfel că informația greșită apare în multe „surse”.

Toți greșim, eu trebuie să corectez planul ăla cu LMI din Cetate, codul „43” se referă doar la jumătatea de nord. Licence review[edit]

Hi Strainu, it was brought to my attention that about a year ago you uploaded two files from external sources and gave them a licence review yourself. These are File:Coma - lansare album Orizont.jpg and File:Xenofon București by Laura Burcus.jpg in particular. Please note that per Commons:License review, "image-reviewers may not review their own uploads unless the account is an approved bot." Strainubot has not uploaded anything since 2014, so you shouldn't have approved these external licenses yourself. WLM: European Special Award - European Cultural Heritage[edit]

Important message for file movers[edit]

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
To perform file name swaps.
When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. Deși trecem prin momente dificile în aceste vremuri imprevizibile generate de pandemia de COVID-19, competiția Wiki Loves Monuments are loc și anul acesta, implicit și în România.

Am fi încântați dacă ați participa și în acest an la documentarea fotografică a patrimoniului nostru cultural construit. Întrucât o carantină nu este programată în România, puteți să ieșiți în continuare să faceți fotografii - luând toate măsurile de siguranță recomandate de autoritățile locale de sănătate. Dacă preferați să evitați ieșirile, cu siguranță aveți fotografii cu monumente înregistrate pe calculator din ultima călătorie! Aceasta este o oportunitate excelentă de a le oferi o a doua viață prin concursului Wiki Loves Monuments. Pe lângă faptul că vor fi vizibile pentru toată lumea, fotografiile dumneavoastră ar putea reprezenta România în competiția internațională. De asemenea ele pot apărea în diverse articole la Wikipedia și pot contribui la conservarea online a patrimoniului cultural și istoric al României.
