Sebastiano Ricci[edit]

Hi, I took a photo of this lovely Ricci painting in Mulhouse, France, and asked for somebody to remove the borders as I can't do it properly, only roughly. But no one has reacted yet, that's how it goes when no one is paid :). Since you are the specialist for Italian paintings here, maybe you could be so kind? Historical images of Florence[edit]

Ciao Sailko. Come stai? Tutto bene? Non so se hai visto, ho fatto un po' di ordine nelle foto storiche di Firenze. Ascolta, ho bisogno di un tuo piccolo aiuto. C'è un utente polacco che ha caricato numerose foto in b/n tipo stereo cards, eseguite da suo nonno nel 1931 durante un suo viaggio in Italia, Svizzera e Austria. Quelle che ho potuto identificare le ho identificate. Ne restano ancora alcune da identificare. Ora, l'utente in questione mi ha spiegato che i gruppi di foto li ha nominati per scatola di negativi (sono in vetro), e che i numeri progressivi che lui ha dato alle singole foto non sono scritte sul negativo, ma sono state date da lui come capitava. Dunque non sono indicativi di una sequenza fotografica. Ora, per lo scatolo Firenze-Pisa (che lui ha nominato "Florencja") ho individuato e smistato nelle rispettive categorie la maggioranza di esse. Restano ancora 8 nella Category:Unidentified locations in Italy. Ti posso chiedere di guardarle, e quelle che riconosci di assegnarle fra le Historical images of Florence oppure of Pisa? Veramente andrebbero categorizzate correttamente sotto le Stereo cards, e poi anche sotto il monumento o edificio rappresentato; e naturalmente va corretta la descrizione. Puoi darci uno sguardo? Te ne sarei molto grato. Queste 8 foto sono state scattate, ripeto, o a Firenze o a Pisa. Vedi un po' tu. Grazie infinite! Sicuramente sarà come dici tu. Io semplicemente consideravo quanti restauri filologici si sono fatti nel secolo scorso a monumenti ed edifici storici, e la foto di Palazzo Antinori ne è una testimonianza fra mille. Allora, che cosa non cambia? Dei capitelli come tu giustamente osservavi... Ma anche un pozzo. Con la differenza che un pozzo si può anche smantellare e ricostruire in un altro luogo. Hello, my dear! I think, it will be interesting for you and all who likes Italian art. Fresh news from Moscow: 87-old widow of this famous Russian abstract painter just presented to the state the huge collection of old masters. The collection was formed by his grandfather who was worked in Bolshoy in XIX century, and by other relatives. And all the treasure was hiding by the owners after Revolution, so the paintings are mostly unknown to the science. I can recognize on the photos and TV: Michelangelo's faun head, some Leonardo's style Madonna, XVth-c. Florence bust, Titian's Magdalene, nice Rubenses, El Greco, Luis Morales (I think). Who knows what else are in other rooms of this apartment...

Mesoamerican artifacts in the British Museum[edit]

Hi Sailko. I notice that you've been removing the category "Room 27, British Museum" from some photos of artifacts, leaving just the category "Mesoamerican artifacts in the British Museum", itself within "Room 27, British Museum". Please note that whilst the majority of Mesoamerican artifacts are indeed in Room 27, I have seen some Maya ceramics in another room (I can't remember which one, but it was part of a section on writing or somesuch), so "Room 27, British Museum" should be a subcat to "Mesoamerican artifacts in the British Museum" and not the other way around. Giusto per...[edit]

Ciao Sailko. Sempre grazie per le splendide immagini che carichi su Commons! Giusto per essere precisi, volevo ricordarti che si distinguono le croci dai crocifissi in quanto che le prime sono delle semplici croci, mentre i crocifissi sono delle croci con su fisso Gesû Cristo. Pertanto mi sono permesso di spostare tutti i crocifissi dipinti che avevi messo nella Category:Painted crosses per sistemarli in quella dei Category:Painted crucifixes in Italy poichè fra l'altro erano anche tutti da noi in Italia, a Lucca, ad Arezzo e a Pisa. Per alcuni di loro ho realizzato anche la corrispondente categoria, essendovi almeno 3 immagini. Nella categoria delle Painted crosses ci vanno solo semplici croci che sono anche colorate. Ciao, volevo ringraziarti per il lavoro che stai facendo sulle categorie delle chiese (almeno vedo quello) spostando le immagini dell'interno in apposita categoria così posso "venire a caccia" di furnitures & art varia così da ingrossarle con diverse categorie che ancora mancano, ad esempio in un quadro, da categorizzare anche in pictures per territorio municipale o per provincia se esiste una sola immagine, ma anche per soggetto ritratto (spesso manca) così mi diverto a cercar di riconoscere i vari santi per gli attributi iconografici. Dato che tu sei più preparato per autore dell'opera e periodo mi faresti una cortesia nel mettere le categorie a tema (tipo Category:1600s frescos in Italy che dubito possa fermarsi a quelle poche immagini...)? Pirma o poi passerei io ma preferisco che lo faccia qualcuno di più competente di me :-)--Threecharlie (talk) 18:25, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

PS: non so se semplicemente ti sei adeguato a quanto faccio io (imparato da altri...) mettendo la disambigua nella categoria indipendentemente dalla notorietà del sito ma la cosa mi da sollievo per il lavoraccio sporco che faccio su chiese & co.. Ad esempio il Tempio Malatestiano, per citare solo il tuo ultimo lavoro, può anche essere scontato per un amanti di storia dell'arte che sia quello e che non ve ne siano altri sparsi per l'Italia (quindi per it.wiki la disambigua preventiva non ci va) ma, tralasciando che non ho idea se esista qualche altra struttura religiosa chiamata Tempio Malatestiano da qualche altra parte, chi di storia dell'arte ne capisce poco o nulla, chi arriva dall'estero e che non ha nemmeno ben presente il nome della città, o la storpia, o la cita con qualche esonimo locale, o inserisce il file in lingue varie (che se va bene è inglese, tedesco, francese spagnolo... ma sempre più file sono caricati in cirillico e qualcuno l'ho scopato in caratteri giapponesi e coreani...) crea delle difficoltà a reperirli nel marasma dei file ancora non categorizzati, insomma IMHO più indicazioni si danno nella categoria e più si aiuta chi carica le immagini a metterla in quella più idonea (o alleno che capiti nella categoria madre almeno del comune non che sia relegata ad esempio in Category:Abruzzo, ineccepibile ma difficile da scovare se è una chiesa, una fontana, una statua di un santo....) :-)--Threecharlie (talk) 18:25, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re:bot[edit]

Ciao, scusa se ho combinato dei pasticci... Il mio intento è quello di liberare le categorie madri "Cultural heritage monuments in regione italiana" che sono intasatisime e hanno ancora delle immagini relative al WLM 2012 non ancora categorizzate nemmeno per comune di appartenenza, quindi introvabili. Il problema è che si lascia la cat madre, addirittura la "Cultural heritage monuments in Italy" anche quando sono già categorizzati e quindi nel mucchio capita di tirar su "pietre insieme ai pesci" come nella pesca a strascico. Se mi dici che ti stai occupando delle immagini di Ferrara, cosa di cui vedo di parla anche in FB, lascio stare le "Emilia-Romagna" per evitare nuovi casini ma tu fammi la cortesia di eliminare quella cat generalista per ogni immagine così 1) si orfanizzano le cat da millemila immagini ingestibili 2) si mette la "Cultural heritage monuments in..." direttamente nella categoria delle immagini (quella principale indicata da WLM a meno che non ve ne siano due "coabitanti" come il Museo della Cattedrale (Ferrara)‎ e Cathedral (Ferrara)) in modo da poterle spostare agevolmente con il "Cat-a-lot" (non è un bot ma lavora molto bene una volta imparato come si usa). Scusa ancora se ti ho creato dei disagi e ti ho fatto rifare dei lavori che avevi già fatto, se vuoi cerco di rimediare e se mi dai le dritte giuste sono disposto a fare il primo lavoro di sgrossatura sempre per farti risparmiare tempo, in caso contrario dimmi dove NON andare a ravanare per non pestarti i piedi. ;-)--Threecharlie (talk) 08:28, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mah, io pensavo non ci fossero problemi dato che per ogni file rimane la cat nascosta Category:Images from Wiki Loves Monuments 2013 in Italy, certo se la cosa doiventa ingestibile solo con la cat nascosta che lo scrivessero da qualche parte tanto più che quelle dove bazzico io contengono sia il 2013 che il 2013... hai voglia a capire quale premiare...e no, non sono nella giuria, l'hanno scorso aveva dato disponibilità all'assemblea WMI a Padova per poi "pentirmene" solo per la mancanza di una connessione internet (problemi di budget) e comunque di tempo e lucidità necessarie. Non ho dato disponibilità quest'anno perché preferivo un lavoro a più basso profilo incasellando le immagini dove servono ai progetti wikimedia dato che, lo avrai notato sicuramente anche tu, ci sono quelli che le caricano ad esempio solo per "l'orticello wikivojage" e si dimenticano di categorizzarle in maniera utile per gli altri progetti. Insomma mi rilassa molto più di fare il giudice, tra l'altro non avendo alcuna preparazione tecnica potrei esprimere giudizi meramente legati al mio gusto estetico dimenticando beatamente l'ABC della fotografia ed irritando potenzialmente i fotografi più esperti nello scegliere qualcosa di tecnicamente imperfetto, spero di essermi spiegato. ;-) Ritornando sulla questione dello scorporo dalle cat ora vedo di contattare qualcuno, provo con Elitre prima di tutti... non vorrei combinare casini su casini... :-/--Threecharlie (talk) 15:40, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Mi ha ragguagliato un po' Elitre e per ora blocco completamente ogni lavoro di categorizzazione fino a che non riesco a capire cosa e dove intervenire per evitare effetti deleteri. Tra l'altro mi ha dato un'infarinata su altri problemi creatisi di cui non pensavo potessero esserci risvolti così articolati. :-/ mi ha anche precettato per il lavoro di prima scrematura nella scelta delle immagini, non roba da giuria ma comunque mi ha inserito come ingranaggio nella macchina... insomma ho dato disponibilità per il mese entrante sperando di poter dare una mano concreta...--Threecharlie (talk) 16:12, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ho molto apprezzato la giornata passata insieme, e anche IlSistemone mi sembra si sia rallegrato del nostro incontro e giro. Ora però verrà il bello per te: sistemare, scegliere, descrivere e caricare le foto che hai scattato. Visto che me lo hai chiesto, ti sarei molto grato se nel nome dei files puoi mettere anche il numero di inventario, tanto per le opere del Museo Archeologico che per quelle di Capodimonte. Mi sono accorto infatti che lo "stile Jastrow" semplifica ed alleggerisce di molto il lavoro di chi vuole poi sistemare e smistare i files nelle categorie, oppure poi scegliere il file più riuscito per la galleria. Early science in Italy[edit]

Unfortunately my battery was discharged at this since I had taken so many whale photos. Avrei bisogno di una mano[edit]

Ciao, dato che nella mia opera di spulcio di chiese ogni tanto mi esce qualcosa di strettamente "pittorico" avrei creato la Category:1474 frescos (che vorrei trasformare "...in Italy" per rimuovere cat più generiche) e mi sono accorto che quelli del mantegna della camera degli sposi vedi Category:Camera picta - Ceiling sono dello stesso anno, tuttavia volevo essere sicuro se fosse solo l'"ocello centrale" quello datato 1474 oppure tutta la volta. Nel caso dato che le immagini sono più d'una è il caso di fare una cat apposita dove applicarci la futura la Category:1474 frescos in Italy? R/ Roma / Napoli[edit]

Ciao Sailko. Grazie ancora per il tuo interessamento che io riceva il filemover. E' da quasi una settimana che sto fermo (quindi anche i rename dei files), chiaramente in Calabria con gli amici e la mia "seconda famiglia" mi sono occupato di tutto ed abbiamo intrapreso di tutto di più e l'ultima cosa che avrei fatto è mettermi al computer. Sono tornato, travolto subito da impegni ed eventi culturali. Ho corretto i files poco fa. Grazie anche per i pezzi del MANN che hai trovato a Roma. Certo i busti della Villa dei Papiri sono ben noti e li sistemerò insieme agli altri (ai quali ancora non ho messo mano). Gli affreschi sono interessanti, anche se davvero di serie B (da deposito), eccetto uno che è abbastanza conosciuto. Me ne rallegro perché grazie alle tue foto diventano visibili pezzi altrimenti "irragiungibili" (per accedere ai depositi ci vogliono sempre permessi speciali e motivazioni serie, di studio, altrimenti restano chiusi e preclusi!). Ieri, per il tuo mosaico del mostro marino da Kaulonia, mi sono ritrovato impegolato e catturato nei casini di Kaulonia, Lokri, del Museo di Reggio Calabria, fino ad arrivare nei disastri delle statue e delle sculture (in generale, poi quelle greche, ed infine romane). Dappertutto ho cercato di mettere ordine ed aggiustare l'aggiustabile. Mamma mia, non si finisce mai! Appena posso torno al MANN sulle tue foto passate e recenti. Meteoriti[edit]

Ciao Sailko! Ho visto che di recente hai caricato delle foto di meteoriti. Visto che sull'argomento sono piuttosto ferrato, mi permetto di intervenire. Ottaedriti, atassiti e esaedriti sono le tre famiglie nelle quali vengono suddivise le meteoriti in base alla classificazione strutturale, quindi semmai queste categorie andrebbero inserite al plurale (octahedrites, ataxites e hexaedrites). Fin'ora non l'avevo fatto perché quasi tutte le foto finirebbero comunque dentro a octahedrites, quindi ero rimasto in dubbio se suddividere in base alla classificazione strutturale. Si potrebbe usare la classificazione chimica, quella oggi di gran lunga più utilizzata, ma è piuttosto complicata e non semplificherebbe affatto le cose a chi cerca le immagini. Per questo avevo pensato che l'ideale fosse limitarsi a suddividere per singola meteorite. Ogni meteorite (non la singola roccia, ma l'insieme dei rocce cadute in una certa zona in concomitanza di un determinato evento meteoritico) ha infatti un nome ufficiale (li trovi qui). Quindi se ti capita di fare delle foto a delle meteoriti è sempre importante cercare di capire il nome proprio della meteorite in questione. Ad esempio

  • File:Meteorite di ottaedrite IIB, da siberia, russia.JPG questi sono senza ombra di dubbio degli esemplari di Sikhote-Alin. Ho già corretto tutte le foto di meteoriti del museo di Losanna di cui ero sicuro.
  • File:Meteorite_di_ottaedrite_IIB,_da_xiquipilco,_messico.JPG al 99,99% è una fetta di Toluca. Hai altre foto dove si vede meglio la targhetta? Ad ogni modo ci sono solo 2 meteoriti ferrose trovate in quella zona: mentre di Toluca ci sono numerosi e grandi esemplari in tutti i musei del mondo, dell'altro (Xiquipilco no. 2) non sembrano esserci notizie oltre al fatto che è stato trovato solo poco più di 1kg di materiale nel 1949. Ti ricordi quanto era grande quella fetta? Dalla foto direi almeno 20cm, giusto? Se è così direi che possiamo confermare che si tratta di Toluca.
  • File:Meteorite lunare, da dar al gazni, fezzan, libia.JPG purtroppo puo' essere una di queste DaG 1058, DaG 1042, DaG 996, DaG 400 oppure DaG 262. Hai per caso altre foto dalle quali si possa capire? Il nome potrebbe anche essere nella forma non abbreviata, es. Dar al Gani 262.

Urgent Inquiry Museum Ludwig Cologne[edit]

In conjunction with an upcoming exhibition at Museum Ludwig in Cologne (September 5, 2014—March 15, 2015), Andrea Büttner (http://www.andreabuettner.com/) is realizing an illustrated edition of Immanuel Kant’s Critique of Judgment. This artists book will be published by Meiner Verlag Hamburg at the end of the year, with a print run of 500. German language, 600 pages, 200+ images. Madonna immacolata o ascensione?[edit]

Ciao, data la tua esperienza volevo sottoporti questo quesito, magari riesci anche ad avere delle fonti così da essere certi della cosa. Ho appena fatto un po' di spostamenti per categorizzare immagini un po' troppo orfane creando la Category:Madonna del Monte (Marciana, comune, Italy) per la chiesa come sottocat del santuario dato che nella cat c'era anche la fontana esterna e il letto dove dormì Napoleone. In quella cat un solerte utente in lingua tedesca ha attribuito l'affresco ad una madonna immacolata tra gli angeli musicanti mentre altrove ho letto che sia una Ascensione di Maria vergine per la presenza appunto degli angeli che iconograficamente gli è consona. riesci tu ad uscire dall'empasse? RE: nomi categorie[edit]

Ciao Sailko. Scusa il ritardo, ero da un po' senza affacciarmi qui… Ma dimmi una cosa: perché noi italiani, al contrario di TUTTI gli altri, omettiamo il "chiesa di" nei nomi delle categorie? Se io vedo una cartella intitolata ad un santo istintivamente penso ad una località o ad una pittura, non ad una chiesa. A meno che non abbiamo problemi di spazio sui server, e non credo proprio, non vedo proprio il motivo di eliminare la parte generica del nome considerando anche che, a parte noi, inglesi, francesi, tedeschi, spagnoli ecc. ci mettono i loro church, kirche, église, iglesia (e spesso nella lingua natia: (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), ecc. ecc. ecc. --Discanto (talk) 03:14, 5 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Si tratta della it:Chiesa di San Miniato (Signa) che in Commons è diventata Category:San Lorenzo al Castello (Signa Castello) (categoria creata da IP, un sospetto ce l'ho...). Master of Pratovecchio[edit]

This is to let you know I have split Category:Master of Pratovecchio and Category:Giovanni_di_Francesco back into two separate categories, undoing your merge of October.

While there are certainly authors who do identify the two as the same individual, there are also authors who strongly reject this; and it's notable that the National Gallery in London currently gives Jacopo di Antonio rather than Giovanni di Francesco as its qualified attribution to for the Pratovecchio altarpiece. [3].

Un po' di immagini da "prendere a prestito"[edit]

Ciao, mi rivolgo a te per essere sicuro di poter rientrare nelle normative italiane data la tua indubbia conoscenza delle licenze artistiche (se te l'ho già chiesto mi scuso). Da un po' ho la voglia di "saccheggiare" da qui delle immagini di opere per me inaccessibili in quanto chiedendo il permesso di fare direttamente delle foto me lo sono visto rifiutare. So bene che tu carichi immagini scattate da te (a parte le chiese toscane dopo che hai ottenuto anni fa un permesso OTRS) ma forse sai darmi qualche dritta. Tra l'altro qualcuno ne ha già caricata qualcuna in Category:Pinacoteca dell'Accademia e del seminario a Palazzo Roverella... nel chan Commons mi stanno assicurando che se l'autore è deceduto da oltre 100 anni non ci sono problemi ma volevo anche un tuo parere.--Threecharlie (talk) 11:04, 27 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Beh, è quasi tutto PD-Art-100 (o come diavolo si scrive)... tuttavia volendo "nei guai" ci sono già dato che più di qualche mio scatto riuscirà sicuramente a violare qualche normativa, mi sembra impossibile che non si riesca a trovare qualche cavillo per farlo ;-).
