Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Ciao Holapaco77, ricordi questa discussione sui luoghi della cultura? Mi era piaciuta l'idea e oggi ho adattato il testo per una voce di un museo, ho quindi verificato le licenze e ho avuto una brutta sorpresa (purtroppo quei siti MiBACT sono pessimi per le indicazioni delle licenze). Ti faccio l'esempio di una tua voce della Terza quarantena di scrittura 2021: il footer di Museo universitario di zoologia e anatomia comparata (che ci mette assai a caricarsi) dice "Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0). For exceptions see here", cliccando su "here" si scopre che le immagini sono in CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0. Ti volevo avvisare perché stavo per cadere nella stessa trappola per il un museo che ho appena creato; se hai caricato delle immagini da quel sito andrebbero messe subito in cancellazione perché non hanno la buona licenza, e con il CC "non commerciale" non possono stare qui. Ho anche scoperto che ci sono due siti del MiBACT con lo stesso testo ma licenze diverse, anche quell'aspetto andrebbe chiarito, purtroppo. Buon wiki,--Pạtạfisik 14:21, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki-lavorando da tablet, purtroppo quel link non compare. Le stesse identiche immagini e luoghi sono disponibili (anzi, con risoluzione anche migliore!) anche su https://www.beniculturali.it/luoghi/cerca-luogo e lì c'è licenza CC-BY 3.0 ciao --Holapaco77 (talk) 14:40, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Su beni.culturali.it dicono che "Le immagini del Catalogo generale dei beni culturali sono rilasciate con licenza CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0"; però poi sul sito del Catalogo generale le note legali parlano di licenza CC-BY-SA 4.0. A questo punto, si potrebbe modificare il link di origine dell'immagine e mettere la licenza libera indicata? --Holapaco77 (talk) 15:39, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Holapaco77: Io pero' ho seguito i link dalla pagina della "fonte" in cui era caricata ogni foto, in quella pagina li' che mi linki ora non so come ci sei arrivato... Ho paura che ci siano parecchie licenze diverse sparse nei siti MiBACT, ma non si puo' scegliere "quella che fa piu' comodo", dovrebbe esserci un criterio dietro, secondo me... L'unica cosa che so è che ci sono informazioni contradditorie, e per principio di precauzione (se si sceglie di usare quello, come farei io) sarebbe meglio cancellare le immagini. Pero' se ti va di partecipare alla discussione e dire la tua, spiegando la tua visione, secondo me è tanto di guadagnato per tutti, sia nella discussione su wikipedia che in quella per la foto qui su Commons. @Patafisik: come dice giustamente Blackcat, non è detto che le foto di dati.beniculturali.it provengano da immagini degli Archivi fotografici detenuti da ICCD o dal Catalogo generale dei beni culturali. Potrebbere pr9venire da qualche sltra parte, quindi vale la licenza CC-BY-SA 4.0. Prima di avviare cancellazioni, bisognerebbe verificare e avere la certezza che la provenienza sia ICCD o Catalogo generale (in tal caso nullaosta alla cancellazione). --Holapaco77 (talk) 19:05, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Holapaco77: Il ragionamento "Potrebbere provenire da qualche altra parte, quindi vale la licenza CC-BY-SA 4.0" secondo me non è valido: è una possibilità, ma mi sembrano eccezioni, e per applicare una licenza ci vuole la certezza. Non è una buona abitudine dire "non so chi è l'autore e quale licenza applichi, allora la carico" oppure "li' nel link c'è scritto NC ma su un altro sito non linkato sulla foto c'è scritto CC-BY-SA e allora la carico". Ora, per le foto che ho messo in cancellazione, ho seguito i link che hai messo come fonte e che portavano alla licenza "non commerciale", quindi per me vale il principio di precauzione (anche perché dici che sull'altro sito hanno una risoluzione diversa, quindi non sono la stessa foto). Ora, come puoi capire con certezza se quelle foto vengono da una fonte che le pubblica in CC-SA-SA 4.0 se non seguendo i link della pagina che usi come fonte? Se c'è la possibilità che siano CC-BY-SA ma non la certezza, e se sulla pagina delle Note legali si diche che in generale le foto sono in NC, per me vanno cancellate finché non si prova il contrario. Forse sbaglio io, eh, o saro' dura di comprendonio, ma si', prima di agire ho verificato le licenze e i miei ragionamenti mi hanno portato a questa scelta. Ma se le cose fossero state semplici e palesi non saremmo qui a discuterne :)

@Blackcat: Qualcuno puo' farmi un esempio di come si dimostra (e come si capisce) che una foto dell'ICCD è davvero in CC-BY-SA 4.0 e non in NC, ossia un'eccezione alla regola? Con un esempio mi sarebbe tutto più chiaro, e mi farebbe davvero piacere saper distinguere quali foto de MiBACT si possono caricare su Commons e quali no.

@Patafisik: , innanzitutto alcuni punti fermi: hai ragione a dire Il ragionamento "Potrebbere provenire da qualche altra parte, quindi vale la licenza CC-BY-SA 4.0" secondo me non è valido, ma in realtà è più netto: non è valido e basta, perché se non è nota la provenienza si assume sempre che non è libera per Commons. Detto questo, non è un delitto ripristinare file per i quali si trovi licenza libera. Noi dobbiamo solo non ripristinare quelli per cui la licenza non vi sia. Ricordiamoci che la cc-by-sa, per definizione, è irrevocabile. -- Blackcat 19:12, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Blackcat: L'ho chiesto perché @Holapaco77: ha un po' insistito, la tua risposta è molto chiara e per me si puo' anche chiudere qui la discussione su queste foto. Deletion requests[edit]

You said on my talkpage, that you do not have experience in Commons deletion requests. I give you some. Typically I comment deletion requests more than other admins, so you can look DR's I closed. Look archives of 13th of April, 15th of April, 18th of April and 20th of April. Start from end (from bottom) and scroll up.

I delete files without delete votes (here). I keep files without keep votes (here, here and here). I delete files on other reasons than in nomination (here and here). Bonjour,

Le concours Wiki Loves Monuments France est ouvert pour une semaine encore, jusqu'au 30 septembre. Déjà plus de 6 000 photos ont été importées cette année alors vous aussi rejoignez le concours ! Cette campagne de contribution concerne tous les monuments et objets mobiliers présents dans la base Mérimée et dans la base Palissy. De l'imposant château aux ruines industrielles, de la verrière décorative au reliquaire, c'est un impressionnant patrimoine qui attend d'être photographié et documenté. Vous pouvez dès à présent mettre en ligne autant de photos que vous le souhaitez de ces monuments et objets du patrimoine français. Nous attendons vos photos avec impatience !

Les plus belles photos seront sélectionnées par un jury national composé d'amateurs et de professionnels, de contributeurs à Wikimedia Commons et d'acteurs du patrimoine. Un jury international constituera ensuite une sélection des meilleures photographies mondiales.

Si vous avez des questions, l'équipe organisatrice se fera un plaisir d'y répondre.

Pesce finto[edit]

Ciao! Questa categoria non l'avevo messa perché l'identificazione mi sembrava comunque molto implausibile, stando a en.wiki quella specie raggiunte massimo i 30 cm, mentre quello esposto (anche non contando la testa) mi sembrava ben più grosso. Dear Wikimedian,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2022 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2022) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the two most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 1 will end on 1 May 2023, 23:59:59 UTC.

Ciao @Romualdo Giovannoni Sul punto 3. sono abbastanza sicura si ricada in casi di immagini in Pubblico dominio, che vanno caricate indicando la fonte e l'autore (anonimo se non si conosce), trovi degli esempi in queste categorie e sottocategorie. Non vedo molte foto di documenti antiche oppure di mappe pubblicate da enti pubblici, che sono on line e quindi di pubblico accesso per tutti. Sarò un po' pessimista o ipocondriaco, ma questa "pacchia" , cioè la possibilità di vedere e far vedere GRATIS materiale storico e documentario, potrebbe finire presto, visto che non c'è bene che ti forniscano gratis. Wiki Science Competition[edit]

Bonjour Patafisik,

Au nom de l'équipe d'organisation de Wiki Science Competition 2023 en France, je tenais à vous remercier de votre participation. En 6 semaines, 838 photos ont été partagées, de 51 personnes, dont beaucoup de nouveaux contributeurs (57 % des comptes créés spécialement pour le concours). En nombre de photo, cela place la France à la 2e place, juste derrière la Macédoine. C'est assez encourageant pour un concours qui n'est habituellement pas organisé en France.

Toutes les photos de l'édition française sont regroupées dans cette catégorie. Et les lauréats sont indiqués sur cette page.

L'équipe d'organisation française en a terminé pour cette édition 2023, le jury international va prendre le relais. Nous vous tiendrons informé s'il y a une édition française en 2024.
