Kategorizálás[edit]

Üdv! A szándékod nyilván jó volt [1], nem tudom, hogy máshol is kategorizáltál hasonlóképpen, de van egy igen egyszerű szabály, amit jobb figyelembe venni: Túlkategorizálás: „A fő irányelv az, hogy egy képet mindig a lehető legpontosabb kategóriába tegyél, de a kategória felettiekbe már ne.“. Vármegyék[edit]

Szia, szép de nem igazán értem a gyakorlati hasznát annak hogy magyarul is kategorizáljunk már nem létező vármegyerendszerbe. Kérlek győzz meg, mert különben törlésre javaslom. Hogy lásd mire gondolok: [2] Üdv. Taz666 (talk) 15:35, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Azt értem hogy jó ötletnek találod, de mi benne a lényeg? Ezek ugyanis létező és már kategorizált szócikkek (pl. nyitra megyei/ járási települések) és a ma létező állami közigazgatás szerint találja meg őket az aki keresi. A commonsot én legalábbis segédprojektnek tartom, a magyar wikin magyar nevükön vannak a települések (szlovák redirrel), sőt a képek is lehetnek magyar nevűek, de más wikin és a kategória a commonson szlovákul (angolul), mivel egy külföldi vagy szlovák valószínűleg ezen a néven fogja keresni. Ha az ötlet az hogy az egykori közigazgatási felosztás szerint is megtalálható legyen, akkor azt talán előbb a magyar wikin kéne megvalósítani, nem elsősorban kategóriák segítségével, hanem szócikkel pl. így: Ógyallai járás, vagy Verebélyi járás, de itt is évkörrel különbséget kell tenni, ugyanis a csehszlovák érában is létezett verebélyi járás. Káli templom képe nem a káli templomot ábrázolja[edit]

Nemek szerinti kategóriák[edit]

Szia! Mi alapján bontottál szét egy rakás foglalkozási kategóriát nemek szerint (pl. Male journalists from Hungary és Female journalists from Hungary)? A Commonsban néhány kivételtől eltekintve (pl. színészek, énekesek) a nemzetiség+foglalkozás szerinti kategóriákat nem szokás tovább osztani kétfelé. Szia! Kérésedre a képet javítottam.

Amúgy az SVG formátum előnye, hogy sima szövegszerkesztővel (pl. notepad-del) is javítható, főleg a szöveget tartalmazó részek. A vonalak és stílusok leírására szolgáló rész javítását már nem tanácsolnám, de ha lesz idő és kedv összedobok vmi leírást, hogy hogyan lehet egyszerűen javítgatni ezeket a vasútvonalas térképeket. Lehetne mondjuk Kelenföld bus terminal (Őrmező side), Kelenföld bus terminal (Lágymányos side) meg Kelenföld bus terminal (Volánbusz). Vagy utóbbi Kelenföld suburban bus terminal. Látom a XVI. kerület több városrészét is beletetted a Category:Cities and villages in Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kiskun County-ba... esetleg azért, mert korábban önálló települések voltak?... mert lehet, hogy inkább egy alkategóriának kéne akkor lennie (pl. @Fauvirt: Szia! Ma már olyan nagyon én se tudok angolul, de ilyen esetekre a former jelzőt szokták használni, nem a past-ot vagy bármi mást. Ha a commons keresőjébe elkezded beírni, hogy Category:Former ..., akkor láthatod magad is. Szerintem fölösleges ennyire cifrázni, hiszen a vármegyék is történelemnek számítanak ma már. Legalábbis a megnevezésük ezen formája. De még azoknak a (vár)megyéknek is megváltozott a területe mára a szomszédai hasznára vagy kárára — vagy akár egyszerre mindkettőre (pl. Heves és Nógrád esete)—, ahol a megye megnevezéséből csak a vár- előtag tűnt el. Szóval én nem szívesen bonyolítanám túl a dolgot. Rakás (talk) 15:13, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Utánamentem egy kicsit és segítséget kértem egy angol ismerősömtől... ő elmondta, hogy a "village" nem csak falu/község, hanem közigazgatási egység is és így már akár stimmel is... úhogy bár Sashalomnál kivettem már ezt a kategóriát, most visszaraktam. @Fauvirt: Szia! Nem zargattál! Pédául Romániában, Ausztriában vagy Szerbiában kettős szint van az alapegységek tekintetében. Vannak a municipiumok, ezeket fordítjuk községnek, és vannak a hozzájuk beosztott falvak. Bár a muninicipiumok lehetnek városok is. Ha bármely romániai település cikkét megnézed, alul a sablonok közt megtalálod azt, amiről beszélek. Persze ez Magyarországon szokatlan lehet, mert itt nemigen volt ilyesmi sohasem, legalábbis az én tudomásom szerint. --Rakás (talk) 18:20, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Muki (tramway)[edit]

I just struggled over Category:Muki (tramway) which I found in the Category:Electric rack locomotives. I can't see in which way these vehïcles could be "rack" locomotives. Thus I have removed the category.-- Gürbetaler (talk) 21:00, 5 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Category:People by name et al.[edit]

@Tacsipacsi: Már a múlt héten is eléggé megdöbbentem a kérdéseden! Egy ilyen tapasztalt szerkesztőtől nem vártam volna. A válaszom az, hogy több éves szerkesztői tapasztalatom alapján az egyetlen érv ellene a kétségtelen szemantikai probléma, ami valóban fennáll ilyen esetben. Ezzel szemben az előnyei viszont számosak, megegyeznek azokkal, amikben több fájl is található. Például összeköthető a wd-elemmel, stb. Igen, látom. Most már van értelme – akkor kellett volna létrehozni őket, amikor fel lett töltve a második kép. Én viszont azon vagyok megdöbbenve, hogy egy ilyen tapasztalt szerkesztő válasz nélkül folytatja a kifogásolt szerkesztést. Megpróbálhatsz meggyőzni, hogy miért jó ez (eddig még nem sikerült), viszont az, ha nem válaszolsz (és közben újabb kategóriákat hozol létre), számomra elfogadhatatlan. Jó lenne, ha kibontanád a „stb.”-t; a Wikidata-elemmel való összekötés szerintem nem jelent semmi plusz előnyt: ha egyetlen kép van, az amúgy is össze van kötve a Wikidatával, a image (P18) segítségével. – Tacsipacsi (talk) 11:17, 17 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Szia, tudom, hogy régen volt, de ezen a képen nem a katolikus templom található a háttérben, hanem a református. Viszont mivel éppen mert régen volt a szerkesztésed, csaknem tíz éve, félő, hogy más wikikbe beszivárgott, hogy ez a kutasi rk. templom, holott nem.
