If you mean the lights: these are anchored or moving ships and buoys of the fairway. Zu diesem Foto

Hallo Radomianin,

zu diesem Foto eine Frage: Hast Du dieses Bild direkt als JPEG-Datei aufgenommen oder hast Du auch eine Raw-Datei davon (im Falle der Nikon D3300 müsste das eine *.NEF-Datei sein)? Ich frage so dumm, weil ich, falls Du eine NEF-Datei hättest, hoffen würde, dass man den Dynamikumfang doch noch weiter verbessern könnte – nicht weil ich die aktuelle Bilddatei schlecht finde, sondern weil das Foto so gut ist, dass es weitere Bemühungen verdient hätte. Ich würde dann gerne mal mein Bearbeitungs-Glück daran versuchen. Falls Du nur die JPEG-Datei hast oder falls Dir Raw-Datei, *.NEF etc. nichts sagen, kein Problem und sorry, ich wollte nur mal fragen. ;–)

• Lieber Aristeas, vielen Dank für Deine Frage und das damit verbundene Interesse. Leider muss ich Dich enttäuschen – wie bei den meisten meiner Fotos besitze ich auch für diese Aufnahme nur ein im Fine-Modus aufgenommenes JPEG. Aus Bequemlichkeit wähle ich trotz des begrenzten Bearbeitungsspielraumes meistens dieses Dateiformat. Doch hin und wieder rächt sich das, wenn ich bei besonders guten Schnappschüssen an die Grenzen der Nachbearbeitung stoße. Dann muss ich viel Arbeit investieren, die mir eine Raw-Datei erspart hätte. Die Schattenzeichnung der dunkelsten Stellen habe ich heute leicht zurückgenommen, um etwas mehr Ausgewogenheit zu erreichen. Die neue Version habe ich soeben bereitgestellt. • Hallo @Aristeas: Auf einer Speicherkarte habe ich die Originalaufnahme der Eichenallee Dänschenburg wiedergefunden. Ich glaubte die vorhergehende Version sei das geringfügig bearbeitete Original, aber ich habe mich geirrt. Somit hatte ich heute eine bessere Ausgangssituation zur Neubearbeitung des Dynamikumfangs, der meiner Meinung nach jetzt eine echte Verbesserung für das Foto ist :) Viele Grüße von -- Radomianin (talk) 22:35, 28 September 2021 (UTC)

Bitte um Mithilfe – Kategorisierung WLF-Fotos

Ein Beispiel. Ich weiß leider wenig über Ghana, aber immerhin kann ich aufgrund der Beschreibung “A fulani wedding bride in Northern Ghana” folgende Kategorien setzen, die doch besser sind als nichts:

Hallo Radomianin,

im Rahmen des Wettbewerbs Wiki Loves Folklore (WLF) 2022 sind wieder etwa 7500 neue Bilder und Medien auf Commons hochgeladen worden. Sie stammen aus über 90 Ländern. Die Qualität dieser Beiträge ist natürlich sehr unterschiedlich, aber auch dieses Jahr ist mir beim Durchsehen schon aufgefallen, dass diese Bilder insgesamt sehr interessant sind. Unabhängig von ihrem ästhetischen und technischen Anspruch dokumentieren die Bilder Tradition und Gegenwart, Volks- und Alltagskultur, und zeigen z.B. Musikinstrumente, Tänze, Handwerker, Werkzeuge, traditionelle und aktuelle Kleidung, Menschen und Tiere, Pflanzen, Siedungsformen, Infrastruktur usw. Nicht alles davon ist Folklore im Sinne des Wettbewerbs, aber auf jeden Fall sind diese Bilder für Commons als dokumentarisches Medienarchiv mit dokumentarischer Ausrichtung ein Schatz, da sie die Realität von Tradition und Alltagsleben in so vielen Ländern festhalten.

Leider ist dies ein weitgehend unerschlossener Schatz, da – ähnlich wie bei WLF 2020 und 2021 und ähnlichen Wettbewerben – die Bilder oft unzureichend beschrieben, fast immer aber unzureichend kategorisiert sind. Dadurch sind Bilder oft schwer oder gar nicht nicht zu finden, obwohl wir sie auf Commons haben. Ich habe in den vergangenen Wochen versucht, wenigstens die Grundkategorisierung nach Ländern bei möglichst allen Bildern vorzunehmen bzw. sie, wo sie offensichtlich falsch war (was leider öfter vorkam), zu korrigieren. Nun müsste das Kategorisieren nach den Motiven fortgeführt werden – aber das ist eine Arbeit, die niemand allein leisten kann.

Ich möchte daher Dich (und ebenso einige andere gute Commons-Bekannte) fragen, ob Du vielleicht zwischendurch Zeit findest, ein bisschen beim weitergehenden Kategorisieren mitzumachen. Das ist, ich weiß, nicht einfach, zumal mangels Beschreibung leider oft für Außenstehende nicht klar ist, was ein Bild genau zeigt. Aber ich denke, dass schon mit einfachen Kategorien wie „Traditional clothing of <Land>“, „Dance of <Land>“, „Drums from <Land>“, „Cuisine of <Land/Region>“, „Festivals in <Provinz>“, „Pottery in <Land>“ einiges gewonnen ist – immerhin sind die Bilder dann ein bisschen erschlossen, sodass sie gefunden und ggf. feiner kategorisiert werden können. (*) Und wo ein Ortsname, eine Region, ein Fluss etc. angegeben ist, für die es Kategorien gibt, sind solche Orts-Kategorien auch sehr nützlich. Ich würde dabei empfehlen, immer von den Bildern innerhalb einer Landeskategorie auszugehen, denn dann wiederholen sich diese Kategorien immer wieder, was die Arbeit sehr beschleunigt.

(*) Diese Arbeit wird leider dadurch erschwert, dass die Kategorien wie „Traditional clothing of <Land>“ u.Ä. nicht für alle Länder gleich benannt sind, sondern dass manchmal etwas gesucht werden muss, um den Kategorien-Namen zu finden. Das tut mir leid, mich ärgert das auch sehr.

Wenn jeder von uns sich ab und zu ein Land vornimmt und dann dort ein paar Bilder durchsieht und kategorisiert, können wir wenigstens einen Teil dieses dokumentarischen Schatzes erschließen und zugänglich machen. • Hallo Aristeas, zunächst einmal möchte ich meine persönliche Wertschätzung für Deine unermüdlichen Leistungen aussprechen, die dazu beitragen Struktur und Ordnung zu schaffen. Du arbeitest stets schnell und genau. Doch trotz zielorientiertem Arbeiten ist es für das ganze WLF-Team schwierig alles alleine zu bewältigen. Deshalb finde ich Deinen Aufruf zur Arbeitsteilung lobenswert und anspornend. WLF FP-Kandidaten

Hallo Radomianin,

ich habe mich gestern mit Kritzolina darüber ausgetauscht, wie schwierig es ist, aus den vielen tollen Wiki Loves Folklore-Fotos die aussichtsreichsten FP-Kandidaten herauszufinden. Was hältst Du von folgender Idee: Vier Augen oder sechs Augen oder ... sehen bekanntlich mehr als zwei. Machen wir doch eine kleine Liste mit Bildern, die in Frage kommen. Ich habe hier mal angefangen. (Diese Liste ist viel kürzer als meine andere Liste; in der anderen Liste notiere ich auch Bilder, die nicht so gut sind, die ich aber einfach interessant finde, in die neue Liste sollen dagegen nur denkbare FP-Kandidaten kommen.) Füg doch einfach Deine Kandidaten in die Liste ein. (Und Du kannst auch gerne weitere Leute einladen!) Die Liste sollte nur nicht ewig lang werden; wenn es mehr als (sagen wir mal) 100 Bilder sind, sollten wir die schwächeren wieder entfernen. Wenn dann jede*r für sich überlegt, welche Bilder am ehesten in Frage kommen, können wir auf diese Weise vielleicht per Mini-Schwarm-Intelligenz die aussichtsreichsten Kandidaten finden ;–).

Цього року українська частина міжнародного фотоконкурсу «Вікі любить пам'ятки» пройде з 1 по 31 жовтня — через російське вторгнення в Україну також довелося змінити умови: тільки світлини зроблені до 23 лютого 2022 року включно будуть прийматися в основній частині конкурсу.

В Україні цей конкурс пройде вже водинадцяте. На конкурс можна подавати власні фото пам'яток історико-культурної спадщини України — і змагатися за призи. Більше можна прочитати за посиланням.

Радимо ознайомитися із детальними правилами, а також із відповідями на часті питання. Як і того року — у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток» можна отримати 21 бал за фотографії об'єктів, якщо світлин цієї пам'ятки раніше не було завантажено.

Нагадаємо, що всі фотографії автоматично беруть участь у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток»; однак для того, щоб фото позмагалося у номінації «Найкраще фото», потрібно підтвердити це при завантаженні.

Цього року знову пройде спецномінація «Відео» — для участі робіт у цій спецномінації не потрібно обирати нічого у Завантажувачі — роботи зараховуватимуться автоматично з відповідних списків.

Gestern habe ich an einem hochinteressanten digitalen Themenabend der deutschen Wikipedia teilgenommen. Es ging um mein eigentliches Heimatwiki Commons. Auch waren einige wichtige internationale Gäste der Foundation anwesend, die über den Zwischenstand zur geplanten Verbesserung der technischen Struktur unseres Repositoriums einen Vortrag gehalten haben. Доброго дня! Зараз саме час показати світу українську культуру та більше розказати про Україну, тому запрошуємо до 31 березня включно долучитись до міжнародної кампанії «Вікі любить фольклор» (Wiki Loves Folklore).

Це щорічний міжнародний фотоконкурс, присвячений народній культурі різних регіонів у таких категоріях, як, зокрема, народні фестивалі, народні танці, народна музика, народні ігри, народна кухня, народний одяг, фольклор та традиції, народні казки, легенди, традиційні пісні та танці, народні п’єси, ігри, сезонні події, народне мистецтво, народна релігія, міфологія тощо.

Конкурс проходить з 1 лютого по 31 березня. Окрім загальних міжнародних призів, цього року ГО «Вікімедіа Україна» додатково нагородить призами та відзнаками авторів та авторок найкращих фото з України, завантажених будь-коли протягом конкурсу 2023 року. Щоб фото отримало шанс поборотися за додаткові відзнаки, при завантаженні потрібно вказати у полі «країна» Україну.

• Danke für Deine Antwort, Killarnee. Ich verstehe, aber einen Auswahlprozess für die POTDs gibt es nicht. Eine erfolgreiche FP-Nominierung ist die einzige Bedingung. Somit können alle Bilder mit einer Commons-FP-Auszeichnung von jedem Wiki-Kollegen als Bild des Tages vorgeschlagen werden. In unserem Fall wollte ich eigentlich den 04.10.23 nehmen, um an den Beginn der Expedition 57 zu erinnern, doch der Tag ist schon belegt. По-перше, не треба настільки емоційно реагувати, людина просто хотіла покращити опис знімків, це не "відвертий вандалізм", а лише помилка, людина зробила це з кращими намірами.

По-друге, я маю питання до вас з приводу прав особистості на фотографіях. Де можна подивитися цей закон, на який ви посилаєтеся? Справа в тому, що я теж використовую цей шаблон у своїх завантаженнях, у тому числі й для спортивних подій, виступів вуличних акторів тощо. Прошу підтвердити, що правильно не використовувати цей шаблон.

Так, саме я автор і власник авторських прав на 12 з тих файлів (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12‎. І всі ці файли створені на публічних подіях.
Що каже шаблон (цитата українського перекладу):
«Незважаючи на те, що ця робота поширюється під вільною ліцензією або знаходиться у суспільному надбанні, зображена особа (особи) може мати права, які юридично обмежують повторне використання зображення, якщо вона не дала згоди на таке використання.»
Ось, наприклад роз’яснення на сайті Міністерства юстиції України:
«Якщо зйомки проводяться відкрито на вулиці, на зборах, конференціях, мітингах та інших заходах публічного характеру, припускається, що особа надала згоду на знімання її на фото-, кіно-, теле- чи відеоплівку.»
Також «мовчазна згода – особа знала й бачила, що її знімають на фото чи відеокамеру, але не висловила своїх заперечень щодо проведення зйомок». А серед тих файлів багато взагалі таких, як цей — артистки позують фотографу! Досить того, що публічна подія, та ще й позують! Тим самим вони надали фотографу повну згоду на зйомку!
Я вже 20 років фотографую, і не просто так собі, а більше 15 років — фотокореспондент багатьох газет, тож за ці роки опанував не тільки техніку репортажної зйомки, а й аспекти зйомки людей в тих чи інших обставинах та місцях.
Тож цей шаблон у тих файлах недоречний, бо його ключове твердження якщо вона не дала згоди цих файлів не стосується.
А ось такі файли не порушують прав особистості? Чому ви на десятки тисяч таких файлів не ставите шаблон? Та й узагалі, за вашою логікою, то на всі файли, на яких є люди (які ще живі чи померли недавно) треба ставити цей шаблон. --Микола Василечко (talk) 16:10, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
Ще доповнення. Якщо людина на таких публічних подіях чи в публічних місцях закриває обличчя руками чи відвертається в бік, то це однозначний сигнал таку людину не фотографувати. І таких випадків у моїй практиці є багато. І такі кадри я зазвичай зразу видаляю з камери. Крім випадків, коли фіксуєш порушення громадського порядку, кримінального чи іншого злочину. Personally, I find it very useful to make re-users aware of the personal rights with a {{PR}} or {{Consent}} template, because Commons is the repository for all Wikipedia projects worldwide. I always work very carefully, the more sorry I am that I mistakenly templated one of your files. I agree with you that quite a few photos of exposed people in public spaces on Commons do not (yet) have an appropriate template. I suppose this is due to pending maintenance, maybe in the future we can take care of this with the help of a bot that detects and maintains such files on its own. In my estimation, there is more maintenance work to do than we have active users. It's due to the voluntary nature of our work. • Микола Василечко, many countries distinguish between the right to photograph someone in a public space and personality rights. This means that, while you have the right to take a picture of someone, you don't have the right to use that picture anyway you see fit. An example: you can't print the picture on a t-shirt and sell it, unless you have obtained the person's consent for that explicit use. I regrettably don't speak Ukrainian, but was able to find this translation of Article 300 of the Ukrainian Civil Code that suggests that personality rights also apply to Ukraine: " To obtain the right to use another's image (picture), you must inform the owner exactly and specifically for what purpose the image (picture) will be used.[1]. Therefore, in my view, Radomianin was in the right when he added the {{Personality rights}} template to images with identified people, since the underlying CC BY-SA 4.0 license allows for any kind of usage, including commercial usage. --Julesvernex2 (talk) 10:36, 24 June 2023 (UTC)

VI!

The quality lable is for beginners; it is useful in this context. FP is a very nice contest that I attended for a while until the day I realized that the majority of the images promoted had a very low attendance rate. I approached the VI contest, which is a little complicated but, which is the only one that has a utility for the global project of the dissemination of knowledge. There are millions of images on Commons it is useful to be able to navigate. VI is mainly used for this. All the images you have made can claim to be labeled don't hesitate to come often... So far I've only successfully nominated three photos to VI, but through my daily maintenance of the recently promoted VI's I have by now gained a pretty good insight into the diversity and value of the VI media library. As for the maintenance work, by the way, I notice that the galleries are slowly but surely approaching the limits of their capacity. I've already written a message about it, in context with a bot problem, on the maintainer's discussion page. This just as an info, to share the upcoming problem with other colleagues, in order to create organized gallery archives in the future.

In my personal view, not only more users and reviewers should be active at VIC, but also at FPC, to continue the diversity in the long run and thus increase the value of the media libraries.

Wiki Loves Monuments 2023 - Deutschland

Hallo Radomianin,

Sieger 2022 – Kloster Paulinzella

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. bis zum 30. September 2023 findet zum dreizehnten Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments (WLM) statt. Dabei können Bau-, Boden- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich gern wieder ein, dieses Jahr mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Vergangenes Jahr hat Radomianin mit einer Gesamtansicht von Kloster Paulinzella gewonnen. Welcher Fotograf oder welche Fotografin tritt dieses Jahr die Nachfolge an?

Nach WLM 2022 sind wieder zahlreiche neue Denkmallisten entstanden – zum Beispiel die Denkmallisten in Waltershausen in Thüringen oder in Fulda.

Für die Suche nach Motiven gibt es bei Wikipedia zahlreiche Listen und Karten. Als Einstieg hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du auf der Mitmach-Seite.

Für das einfache Auffinden haben wir eine Upload-Karte erstellt, in der viele aber leider noch nicht alle Kulturdenkmale angezeigt werden können. Das Laden der Objekte dauert dort etwas.

Wir haben dieses Jahr „drei Sonderpreise für Bilder von Friedhöfen“ ausgelobt. Zugelassen sind für den Sonderpreis auch Fotos von Friedhöfen, die nicht denkmalgeschützt sind.

Außerdem laden wir Dich ein, ab Anfang September 2023 an der Vorjury teilzunehmen. Diese bewertet die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelt so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die im Oktober tagt, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Monuments 2023 in Deutschland. Das Vorjurytool ist hier bald freigeschaltet. Du benötigst dafür nur deinen Benutzernamen und das Passwort.

Featured-picture-Sortierfrage

Um dieses tolle Bild geht es

Hallo Radomianin,

Du hast ja das Foto File:Радуга над вулканическими конусами.jpg erfolgreich als Featured Picture nominiert – ganz herzlichen Dank dafür! Ich habe dazu eine kleine Frage. Das Bild ist ja eine Landschaftsaufnahme und daher auf den FP-Gallerieseiten korrekt unter Commons:Featured pictures/Places/Natural/Russia#Far Eastern Federal District einsortiert. Allerdings trägt auch der Regenbogen ganz erheblich zur Wirkung des Bildes bei. Nun haben W.carter und ich gerade nach eingehender Diskussion FPs, die atmosphärische optische Phänomene zeigen, in einem neuen Abschnitt der FP-Galerieseiten namens Commons:Featured pictures/Natural phenomena#Atmospheric optical phenomena zusammengefasst. Damit haben Regenbogen und Co. endlich ein Zuhause unter den FPs gefunden ;–). Nun überlegen wir, ob noch einige weitere FPs, deren Wirkung v.a. auf atmosphärischen optischen Phänomenen beruht, in diesen neuen Abschnitt verschoben werden sollen. (FPs sollten nur jeweils einmal auf den FP-Galerieseiten erscheinen, daher ist eine Verdoppelung nicht sinnvoll.) Bei dem von Dir nominierten Bild kann nun je nach Geschmack entweder die besondere Landschaft oder der Regenbogen als Haupt-Feature angesehen werden. Daher möchte ich einfach Dich als Nominierenden fragen: Soll dieses Bild weiterhin unter den Landschaftsbilder einsortiert bleiben, oder findest Du den Regenbogen so zentral, dass wir das Bild zu den anderen Regenbogen-FPs verschieben sollten?

• Lieber Roman, Danke vielmals für Deine und Carts Initiative zu diesem speziellen Thema. Eure erarbeitete Lösung ist vor allem für Wiederverwender sehr hilfreich, wenn es darum geht, geeignete Fotos für entsprechende Projekte zu finden. Meiner Meinung nach kann das FP in die neue, passendere Galerie verschoben werden. Der Regenbogen steht hier eindeutig im Mittelpunkt der Bildgestaltung, auch der Fotograf hat bei der Wahl des Dateinamens den Regenbogen mit Радуга in den Vordergrund gestellt. • September 15 – September 30: Applications for the election committee
• October 1 – October 9: Vote for election committee (ideally comprised of three members)
• October 10: Election committee starts work
• October 20 – November 9: Nomination phase for candidacies
• November 10 – December 10: Elections
• December 15: Results announced

In the first step we ask you to be part of the election committe. Please add your name on the Election Page.

WikiCon Photowalk der CPUG in Linz
