Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Kategorien

Hauptstraße 45 (Elxleben)

Hallo ThüringerChatte, vielen Dank für deine zahlreichen Bildbeiträge. Wenn du dich ein wenig mit der Kategorisierung der Bilder vertraut machst, ersparst du mir und anderen viel unnötige Nacharbeit.

Hier ein Beispiel: Das Bild rechts hat die Kategorien

• Category:Kulturdenkmal in Thüringen: komplett überflüssig, leitet auf die commons-übliche englisch benannte Category:Cultural heritage monuments in Thuringia weiter
• Category:Kulturdenkmal: komplett überflüssig, leitet auf die commons-übliche englisch benannte Category:Cultural heritage monuments in Germany weiter
• Category:Hauptstraße 45 Elxleben: Diese Kategorie ist rot, weil noch nicht angelegt. Mit der Anlage kannst du nun alle Bilder des Objekts einsortieren (ist sozusagen automatisch bereits passiert, sieht nur keiner). Für die Kategorisierung der neuen Kategorie bietet sich die bestehende Category:Cultural heritage monuments in Elxleben (Ilm-Kreis) an. Schau dir einfach mal Category:Cultural heritage monuments in Elleben an, da habe ich deine den Ort betreffenden Fotos einsortiert. In der Regel werden die Kategorien wie in der Bildunterschrift rechts benannt (meist mit Klammerzusatz, immer ausgeschrieben und ohne unverständliche Kürzel wie „KD“ [=Kulturdenkmal, ich weiß]); einfach an bestehenden Beispielen orientieren.
• Category:Elxleben (Ilm-Kreis): Wäre bei Verwendung der obigen Kategorie Category:Cultural heritage monuments in Elxleben (Ilm-Kreis) überflüssig
• Category:Ilm-Kreis: dito

danke für deine Hinweise, vor allem die Erklärung zum Hintergrund und die Vorarbeit in Elleben.

Bitte entschuldige meine versehentliche Überkategorisierung und die verursachte Mehrarbeit. Ich werde meine Bilder bald möglich nacharbeiten - bin gerade generell bisserl im Streß und zusätzlich noch im WBW/DC - und zugleich Deinem Vorschlag mit den "Orts-Kats" folgen; da kommen noch ein "paar" mehr durch die aktuellen Wettbewerbe; die neuen werde ich gleich versuchen besser einzusortieren. Es reicht ja dann im Grunde Straße-Hausnummer-Ort und Cultural heritage monuments in Ort als Kat je Bild, richtig?

Danke für die Antwort. Ja, Cultural heritage monuments in Ort sollte als Kat für die Straße-Hausnummer-Ort-Kategorie mit den Fotos reichen. Manche Orte haben noch die Kat Buildings in Ort (schau mal bei Arnstadt) – die sollte dann auch mit rein. VG Giorgio Michele (talk) 20:58, 21 August 2021 (UTC)

Kopiede Dir mal die Kategorie: '''[[Category:Photographs by ThüringerChatte]]''' mit in Deine Fotos, dann hast Du sie alle alphabetisch geordnet zusammen. Ich habe das anfangs auch nicht gewusst und suche jetzt nach einer Möglichkeit die alten Fotos gebündelt per Bot oder sowas nachzukategorisieren. man sehen ob ich wen finder der weiß, wie das geht und es für micht macht. P.S. Arnd, ich sehe gerade, das Du auch Kats wie Culttural heritage of und Building in löscht - schau mal bitte obendrüber, da war das ein Vorschlag von Giorgio Michele. Da haben wir uns offenbar missverstanden. Wenn eine noch nicht existierende (= rot geschriebene) Kategorie angelegt ist, werden die übergeordeten Kategorien (das sind im Regelfall Cultural heritage monuments in... und Buildings in...) nicht den einzelnen Bildern zugeordnet, sondern für die Erzeugung der neuen Kategorie verwendet. Diese wird einfach durch das Klicken auf den roten Link und die Einfügung der (von dir bisher fälschlicherweise bei den einzelnen Bildern eingefügten) Oberkategorien erstellt, siehe hier: Category:Neue Marienstraße 9 (Ilmenau). Wenn du auf den Button Bearbeiten klickst, siehst du, wie die neue Kategorie angelegt wurde. Tipp: Den Quelltext kannst du (natürlich bezüglich Ort und Sortierung angepasst) als Vorlage für die Anlage weiterer Kats benutzen. Ich hoffe, ich konnte die Unklarheiten beseitigen.
