Reminder: Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2016 is open![edit]

You are receiving this message because you voted in R1 of the 2016 Picture of the Year contest.

Dear PierreSelim/Archives,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2016 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eleventh edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2016) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top #1 and #2 from each sub-category.

In the final round, you may vote for just one or maximal three image to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 2 will end on 20 April 2017, 23:59:59 UTC.

FOP Morocco[edit]

FOP is forbidden for works with definite date of creation, or whose authors had definite death date. This is only applied to Hassan II mosque!!--Maher27777 (talk) 08:52, 17 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your VFC installation method is deprecated[edit]

Hello PierreSelim, we are aware that using the old installation method of VFC (via common.js, which you are using) may not work reliably anymore and can break other scripts as well. A detailed explanation can be found here. Important: To prevent problems please remove the old VFC installation code from your common.js and instead enable the VFC gadget in your preferences. Thanks! --VFC devs (q) 16:23, 22 May 2017 (UTC)

Proteger les fichiers importants[edit]

Cher PierreSelim !
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Deletion_requests/Files_uploaded_by_V2016#Be_kind_enough_to_undo_the_deletion
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Magog_the_Ogre#To_remove_the_file
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Éric _Laborey
Je vous serai reconnaissante si vous pouviez m'aider à proteger ces documents importants.
La deuxième question. Dominique Delouche a joint à cette lettre :
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Re_de_Dominique_Delouche_du_13-07-2017_%C3%89ric_Laborey.pdf
--V2016 (talk) 15:23, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Commons:Deletion requests/File:2008 Mini Cabrio (R52 MY05) Cooper S Chilli convertible (2010-07-10) 01.jpg[edit]

In regards to your closing, number plates are not private (in fact are owned by the state/territory in which they were issued) and there is no public away of getting information on them (only law enforcement can, within reason). There is no such thing as a number plate being a privacy issue, in Australia at least, which isn't Europe. On what grounds (Commons policy) do you have to revdel something that isn't a privacy issue? Bidgee (talk) 08:24, 20 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bidgee, it is my interpretation that with plate number we can identify people whereabouts. I'm totally open for a review of this action, even more to ask to other admins what they think of it. --PierreSelim (talk) 10:07, 20 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
