Deletion of Chrome_OS_Mario_Beta.png

Can you please revert this i have done nothing wrong as all i did was upload a new version of ChromeOS.jpg, it is the same Operating system released by the same company under the same licence displaying the same applications.Chrome OS is free software released under a modified version of the Berkley software distribution licence. If it is in fact copyrighted please take action on ChromeOS.jpg since it is identical and let me know, i will put the screenshot on English Wikipedia non-free.

copyright for RADAR shot off my computer

Intellicast clearly states on their site the information is public access free for use and distribution.

I personally took that screenshot from live CONUS radar, and is from my blog.

it is mine in the sense that I captured the live shot from radar.. there is no copyright on public radar images provided by the us government weather satellites. yes the shot came THROUGH intellicast, but they are mirroring the US government CONUS radar, therefore free for public use, dissemination, and repost for the purpose of scientific discussion and education per fair use.

Daer user, cameras or smartphones recorded EXIF metadata into the JPG file itself, as metadata is very usual thing and nowadays even simple phones or cameras are able to record metadata, your only way to prove you own this file is to upload the original file which shows this image is created by a Nokia smartphone otherwise the image will be deleted on the mentioned date in file page, also please let me know what Nokia phone did you use.   ■ MMXX  ^talk  14:50, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Ah, so esif is a tag, but I have all the photos automatically converted to jpg and uploaded to websites and Facebook. Yep. I uploaded it to Wikipedia back in the pre-thumbnail era (first illustration of the Tikal article, if I remember correctly). I know it's low res, but somewhat to my surprise we seem not to have gotten any better free licensed pix from the same viewpoint since. By the way, if you have questions about images especially those from long established contributors, I'd like to suggest you ASK them on their talk page first, rather than slap a "no source" template on images with an an image such as this. My photo still looks to me to have a VERY SPECIFIC SOURCE VERY CLEARLY INDICATED. I still don't understand what you find problematic about the source text; if there is something specific you think I did wrong or something you think that could be worded better, please suggest. How about I copy this discussion to the image talk page? I'm sorry, I'm assuming good faith from you, but I fear I'm still not clear what you see is the problem is. Is the issue that it was scanned? Scanning is, I believe the usual way non-digital photos are turned into digital images. All my photos before 2003, and the majority until October 2005, were done on film. Well, scans are difficult to say whether they are by uploader or not, in your case I only trust you based on your works in Commons, also please stop reverting my edits, this and this image are suspicious for being copyvio and just saying "own work" is not acceptable at all! if you believe they are works by uploader please mention your reasons on uploaders talk page or on the file page.   ■ MMXX  ^talk  18:23, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

After trying to figure out why you would put "no source" on an accurately and specifically sourced image without success, I checked some of your other edits. I saw you putting the same template on a couple of images where the uploader gave the source as own work, and briefly thought you were doing some sort of vandalism before I looked in more detail at your works. That was the reason for those reverts. You may be correct that some of the images may be copyright violations and the uploaders lying -- tagging such as "no source" rather than listing for deletion seems to me a bit of a cheat which I am not comfortable with. In any case, I still think it was completely inappropriate in the case of my image. Perhaps we can call in some disinterested third party or parties to comment and offer suggestions so we can avoid such friction in the future? Thanks. Unfortunately Iran's copyright law does not mention any exception about works which are placed in public places, so such works remain protected by the law. Well, they are scans of paper photograph prints from my personal photograph album taken by me in the years indicated in the file names, and with the permission of the individuals pictured. I made the original picture with Inkscape. Then made 9 more "svg" pictures slightly displacing the figure. I exported all 10 as "png" pictures, and did the animation with the GIMP.

Apparently that Flickr user is not original creator of any of images in their photostream, the largest size that they offer is 1024x680, however larger similar images are available all over the web (see this) and that file have no camera EXIF, also there is a watermark on the image which suggests that image belongs to lady-gaga.net website.   ■ MMXX  ^talk  16:09, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

When instantiated the {{No source since}} tag tells uploaders that if the image is their own work they should place an {{Own}} tag on it. So, how is an uploader supposed to interpret the tag if they have already placed an {{Own}} tag on it? Are they supposed to interpret it as meaning that the tag placer is accusing them of lying?

Sorry, I think it is clear here you chose to place an inappropriate tag -- a tag only appropriate for images that do not already have an {{Own}} tag on it. New delete notice on issue I thought was resolved earlier

In June I uploaded numerous images that I had produced to illustrate my articles, and received numerous notices of not declaring sources, although I had clearly said the work was mine.

I thought I had answered you to your satisfaction. I explained my graphics training and provided examples on my profile and I uploaded many of the original photos to show where I derived the posterized images.

However two images I allowed to be deleted as I could not find where I had downloaded them: Vikings and Champrepus. The second was photographed by me on the wall in the city hall, since the subject died over a hundred years ago I thought it was okay to say it was my work. I let it go.

However, a number of other images are listed on my talk page as scheduled for deleting based on your note made in June, but no threat is highlighted on my galleries. Several images needed categories, but most do not, I have found, even though the notice says I have no categories.

I have since uploaded numerous more images and most have been Photoshopped by me, and I have received no notices of deletion.

Is the reason that the image deletion notice has returned is because it automatically returns if not released by you or another administrator? If you could someone release me from the purgatory of suspicion.

About the notices on your talk page, the notices which requiring source information are not effective because you have removed the tags from the file page, but there is also a notice to categorize images, which is not a deletion warning, you have to categorize your files, for more information please see Commons:Categories.   ■ MMXX  ^talk  21:24, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for your quick response. the sentense"I could not...." meant that I found the original image by google image search "viking reenactments" or "norman costumes" several years ago and could not find the images by similar searches. I did find very similar images by the same photographer(I recognized the images, same people, same costumes, same event, same sensitivities) on wikicommons but the photographer had not donated that image. I decided to allow it to be deleted. when I was a professional graphic designer we often took photos of others and heavily altered them as I did here, and that was considered allowable but I understand the interdiction here.

I have returned to all the images and added categories. Several that I created don't seem to function anymore i.e. rural France(someone redirected to Countryside in France, which is acceptable to me)but all the categories provided by wikicommons were extremely specific, ie specific chateau, or too general so I added general categories such as Chateaux in France, which I found more useful. اول در مورد مجسمه‌ها باید بگویم که ایران قانونی مبنی بر آزادی تصویرسازی از آثاری که به طور دائمی در اماکن عمومی قرار گرفته‌اند ندارد و چنین آثاری شامل شرایط عادی حق تکثیر می‌شوند، مانند تاریخ مرگ پدید‌آورنده، یا نوع مالک آن (حقیقی یا حقوقی} و تاریخ عرضه. با توجه به این موضوع تصاویر مجسمه‌ها درصورت نداشتن اطلاعات دقیق، حذف خواهند شد.

در مورد تصاویری که در پانورامیو هم منتشر شده‌اند دو کار می‌توانید انجام دهید: از Reza Hajipour و Mahdi Kalhor درخواست کنید تا جواز آثار خود در پانورامیو را تغییر دهند و از جوازی آزاد استفاده کنند، همچنین می‌توانید از آنها درخواست کنید تا با استفاده از ای‌میل ذکر شده یک اجازه‌نامه به OTRS به آدرس permissions-commons@wikimedia.org ارسال کنند و تایید کنند که شما اجاره دارید آثار آنها را تحت جوازی آزاد و به منظور هر استفاده‌ای منتشر کنید.

تا جایی که می‌دانم در پانورامیو هم مانند فلیکر امکان انتخاب نوع جواز وجود دارد، ولی مطمئن نیستم که تغییر آن بعداً امکان دارد یا خیر، در هر صورت روش آسان‌تر ذکر جواز در خود پانورامیو است، این می‌تواند در پروفایل کاربر پانورامیو نیز ذکر شود، در مورد ایمیل هم می‌توانید به فارسی یا ترجیحاً به انگلیسی به permissions-commons@wikimedia.org ارسال کنید، اجازه‌نامه باید به وضوح مشخص کند که کدام آثار تحت په جوازی قابل انتشار می‌باشند، فهرست جوازهای پذیرفته‌شده در انبار را می‌توانید اینجا ببینید: Commons:Copyright_tags#Free_Creative_Commons_licenses

I saw you posted some notices for lacking copyrights on User:Z interactive's photos. I have noticed a number of other problematic ones, such as this one (most likely taken by AHG, a German dealership - it uses the same background as their other photos), this Chrysler taken at the 2011 NAIAS (was he really in Detroit as well?). He was also in Detroit in 2003, it seems: File:Bmw xActivity.jpg (other photo). The frequency of copyright concerns with his photos, as well as the complete absence of response to concerns leads me to doubt the majority of this user's contributions. Indeed. And if you go to http://www.ijk-67.retejo.info/ (which is the website of the event to which it relates) you may see Andreo Jankovskij listed as the webmaster and contact person in the left menu. I was not aware it was published elsewhere, still I suppose the creator has simply uploaded it from his own computer, without any direct relation to that website. After all, the instructions at Commons:Licensing to which you have pointed by means of the template explicity state that "The Source of the material[:] If the uploader is the author, this should be stated explicitly. (e.g. "Created by uploader", "Self-made", "Own work", etc.) Otherwise, please include a web link or a complete citation if possible." (emphasis is mine). What do you suggest me/him to do now? I think the link would be superfluous because he himself is the author. And we have his CC-release statement (provided during upload). If you still suspect it could be a copyvio, I think I could even tell him to add some kind of license statement next to the image where it is currently being used on the web. However, the only page I can find at the moment is http://en.lernu.net/komunikado/forumo/temo.php?t=6070&p=10 which is a discussion board where he (again under his full name and photo) has put a link to it - so this does not feel like a place where it would be easy/worth placing a CC license statement. Indeed, there is a line of code which prevents notifying yourself. Just choose a generic formulation for what the script currently does. مشکل همان ویکی‌خبر فارسی است، انبار هم برخلاف سایر پروژه‌ها، پروژه‌ای مشترک است و فرض بر این است که یکی از آن حساب‌های گرفته‌نشده با انبار در ارتباط هستند، پیشنهاد می‌کنم تا جایی که ممکن است حساب‌های دیگر را بگیرید و بعد درخواست را ادامه دهید. راستی چرا نامی آزاد انتخاب نکردید؟  ■ MMXX  ^talk 18:16, 4 September 2011 (UTC)

The cover image is clearly labeled as CC-BY-3.0 on the Picasa page, AS I ORIGINALLY LINKED TO. I do not understand what the license on the Mises Insitute website has to do with the license for the book cover image. Wikimedia Commons guidelines themselves include recognition that Picasa images are clearly identified with their license. Again, what is one supposed to do then? The guidelines essentially state that Picasa licenses are valid (and can even be verified by a bot). And if you are disputing the Wikimedia Commons guidelines, can you please tell me where other guidelines that supersede those at COM:PICASA are located? Hi MMXX, This image is not available on flickr despite the fact that my SafeSearch feature is off. Google search shows no higher resolution version of this image, so I think it's NOT a copyvio but still I don't know what exactly to do? Nominate it for deletion due to lack of source or let it to continue its life on Commons!?
Do you think that these images (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) must be deleted because of lack of FOP in Iran? Definitely none of them are old enough to be in public domain. If your answer is yes, please delete them.

Hi Americophile, if a file has source problem, we will never "let it to continue its life on Commons" :) you should contact it's uploader to clarify the source information, you don't have to open a DR though, you can simply tag it with {{Nsd}} and don't forget to leave a note for it's uplader too. to tag files and notify users easily, you could enable the "Quick Delete" from Special:Preferences,

I've deleted images of Pearl Monument's models, but other photos might could be saved, how old is this building? IUST is an governmental university and if it's more than 30 years old, then it's in public domain, also this and this might be de minimis, you can open a DR to hear other opinions too.

Former Iranian Shah

Hi Mmxx, there's a category on Commons named after w:Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, last Iranian king. User:Bellavista1957 created a new category and named it Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi that is the same person but has a royalty title (I know that you know all of these yourself but I'm explaining in detail for those who watch your talk page but have no information about Iran and Iranians). I moved all the files in the category:Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi to category:Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and redirected the former to the latter, but today I noticed that Bellavista1957 has undid all my edits about the former Shah without providing any obvious reason. But the artist himself, Domingo Vega de la Rosa has sent an email to permissions.commons@wikimedia.com on 20-11-11 to give his permission to use these pictures of his paintings on Wikipedia. I thought they would be put in the database after that. I have searched for them, so I can put them in my article about this artist. But I couldn't find them, so I thought I had to put them on Wikimedia Commons myself and it would be allright, because you have the email. PD Iran

1. Please have a look at 1, 2, 3, 4. It seems that they have not been nominated with good faith. #1, #2 and #3 are not very important to me but please help me to save the forth one. If this trend continues, someone can nominate almost all PD-Iran files because most of them don't have a publication date.
2. I nominated some of my own pictures for deletion because I was not sure about their copyright status. User:Jameslwoodward deleted them. I have no objection but the reason User:Jameslwoodward provided made me doubtful about his decision. I think statues are completely different from the deleted images. Statues are permanently placed somewhere but those toys (or whatever they are called) were in public presentation just four three or for hours. Could you please take a look at the DR? FoP in Iran

Hi Mmxx,

• I was busy for some days and couldn't contribute to Commons (as well as the fact that I was angry because they blocked me again on FA:WP). While I was away, one of my images (talk page and DR) has been deleted because of FoP problem. Unfortunately I forgot to add the DR to my watchlist and I missed the discussion. I took some pictures of a new building in Iran about 10 months ago and uploaded them on Commons. As both of us know, there is no mention to FOP in Iranian copyright law that can be interpreted that any building is automatically protected. I'm going to challenge this interpretation because I believe than not any building is protected by copyright but just those that their utilitarian aspect is overshadowed by their artistic aspect (sth like this). I'm not going to disturb Commons just because of one of my files has been deleted. I'm just going to help the community to reach a consensus about FoP in Iran (lots of discussions have been took place about this subject earlier such as here). If the problem is unclear and no solution can be found, I ask you to delete all the image in these categories: Category:Industrial Engineering Department of Iran University of Science and Technology, Category:Electrical Engineering Department of Iran University of Science and Technology, Category:Railway Engineering Department, Iran University of Science and Technology, Category:Iran University of Science and Technology Mathematics School, Category:Iran University of Science and Technology Mosque, Category:Automotive Engineering Department of Iran University of Science and Technology because I'm sure that the buildings are not old enough.
• There is another problem about User:Sasan Geranmehr that tries to use pure Persian on Commons (1, 2 3, etc). I don't know how to deal with him. He has been blocked several times on FA:WP for using pure Persian but he still continues to vandal on other projects (Commons and Meta). Please warn or block him to save the project. Unfortunately the copyright law of Iran is not very clear on threshold of originality and nothing is mentioned about de minimis, there are different explanations of laws, for example about part 7 of article 2, as some lawyers explained, an architectural work should have a creative design and could be considered as artwork to be protectable, however, as there is no clear background about threshold of originality in Iran AFAIK, we have to open DR for any specious content to discuss about them. about FOP, IMO similar to UAE, we can allow photographs of buildings which shows incomplete exterior designs, such as this one or similar images.  ■ MMXX  ^talk 00:45, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Web size, missing EXIF

Hi Mmxx, How can I deal with low-resolution, web-size, and EXIF-less images, such as File:Mansour New Picture In A Concert Poster 2008.jpg? Start a DR or ask the uploader to send a permission for the file to OTRS? (In other words, I have enabled "Quick Delete" tool in "My preferences". Which option should I use? "Nominate for deletion" or "No permission"?) I used to start a DR but I noticed that some users ask the uploader to send a permission to OTRS. Could you please explain? Hello, when a file has a correct source and author information but it is lacking permission, you can tag it with {{Npd}} by using the 'No permission' link. this file was transferred from English Wikipedia and it was originally uploaded by User:Mansourist, who is apparently a fan of Mansour, the file information says "Mansour New Picture In A Concert Poster 2008" so it sounds it is from a poster, the file is missing source information and could be deleted after 7 days if the correct source was not added.  ■ MMXX  ^talk 23:05, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

I work for Beyonce, Inc. as outside counsel. Beyonce, Inc. has authorized me to upload the photograph to Wikimedia Commons. I can get a pdf copy of the assignment from Mr. Duran to Beyonce, Inc., and I can get an email from Beyonce, Inc. permitting me to upload the photo and authorizing a (Wikimedia Commons accepted) Creative Commons license for the photo. Hi there, I'd like to have the file mentioned above undeleted, I'm aware that it was missing some copyright notes when I uploaded it, but this was fixed at the time and I added the label "own work" to the description, it's a painting I made of my father, and I have chosen to release copyright, I would appreciate any tips on how to undelete it, or re-upload it with the correct copyright labeling, keeping in mind that it's not someone else's work, it's my own work, a portrait of my father, painted by myself.

You removed the above image shortly after I posted it on WikiCommons to use in my Sandbox for an article I am preparing. I understand that you will have assumed I had made a copyright infringement. I have appealed against the deletion, but no action seems to have been taken to reinstate the image. I am unclear myself as to what is permissible in terms of using an image from Google Earth. I did go to that website and made a request to use the image. After answering several questions on an automated process, the answer seemed to be that Google have no objection to the use of the image as long as it appears with an attribution. You can see the text I coped and pasted from their site on my User talk:Kim Traynor/sandbox. Any suggestions as to what I should now do to get that image back in use? Heroes Welcome

Hi I have just seen your note re the images and my sincere apologies, the images uploaded were taken at the Bassetlaw launch and uploaded in all good faith by the originator having indicated free use on upload. The last editor asked for an appropriate photo to be attached to enhance the article as Heroes Welcome is a visual scheme and this was noted and actioned. Heroes Welcome is an open program involving whole communities and regions, so anyone and all are free to use change and adopt the logo. I am trying to archive the scheme and its progress and am sorry if I am being a little clumsy at Wikipedia entries but as they say please keep trying, probably very trying for the editors! Hello, those files has been deleted because there were non-free works in their background, they were derivative works of other non-free works. also about the logo, Heroes Welcome's website mentions everything is copyrighted, you could however contact Heroes Welcome and ask them for permission to use their contents, for more information please Commons:OTRS and Commons:Licensing.  ■ MMXX  ^talk 15:43, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

وقتی همچین قانونی در ایران تصویب نشده نمیتوان گفت برخلاف آن هم نمی‌شود رفتار کرد، چون نگاه دولت ایران به ویکی‌پدیا یک سایت دانشنامه‌ای است و فقط برای معرفی شهرها تصاویر قرار داده شده و تا به حال کسی را برای تصویربرداری محاکمه نکرده‌اند فقط در مواردی مانند میدان بهارستان که تابلو عکس‌برداری ممنون نصب است.

Invitation to events in June and July: bot, script, template, and Gadget makers wanted

I invite you to the yearly Berlin hackathon, 1-3 June. Registration is now open. If you need financial assistance or help with visa or hotel, then please register by May 1st and mention it in the registration form.

This is the premier event for the MediaWiki and Wikimedia technical community. We'll be hacking, designing, teaching, and socialising, primarily talking about ResourceLoader and Gadgets (extending functionality with JavaScript), the switch to Lua for templates, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Labs.

We want to bring 100-150 people together, including lots of people who have not attended such events before. User scripts, gadgets, API use, Toolserver, Wikimedia Labs, mobile, structured data, templates -- if you are into any of these things, we want you to come!

I also thought you might want to know about other upcoming events where you can learn more about MediaWiki customization and development, how to best use the web API for bots, and various upcoming features and changes. We'd love to have power users, bot maintainers and writers, and template makers at these events so we can all learn from each other and chat about what needs doing.

However, I'll keep my nomination in FP how it is now, with the two guys.

Don't you think this monument is very "mineral" and strict ?

I think so for my part. That's why I kept those two guys, because IMO, they "break" the symmetry just a little bit, enough.

Moreover, they give something "human" in this "cold" picture, and provide an idea of the scale.

I understand very well different opinions, I guess it is here a simple matter of taste.

By the way, I'll tell you a secret: I've already removed five or six disturbing tourists from this image...

Anyway, thank you very much for your interest, and for your work, again.

I think it is good we can find on "Commons" both my version and yours, then users can chose !

مشکل در بارگذاری مجدد تصویر

سلام به شما. عرضمن به خدمتتان من کاربر:گیر_3پیچ2005 هستم که سالهاست در ویکی فارسی ویرایش میکنم. اگر خاطرتان باشد قبلا هم با شما تماس داشتم. در مورد طراحی با نرم افزار بود که چندتا سوال مفصل ازتان پرسیدم. غرض از مزاحمت این دفعه این است که من در انبار مادام العمر بسته شده ام و سالهات با زاپاس در حال بارگذاری تصویر و رده بندی انبوهی از تصاویر مربوط به ایران عزیز هستم. یکی از تصاویری که قبلا بارگذاری کردم، تصویری از پانورامای تقاطع غیرهمسطح میدان جهاد در اراک است که در رده:ترابری در اراک قابل رویت است. اینها در اصل دوتا تصویر بودند که یکی از بچه ها زحمت کرد و یکیش را ادیت کرد. حال که بلد شدم چجوری با فتوشاپ 5 میشه گوشه های پانوراما را پر کرد، نمی توانم نسخه جدیدی از تصویر را با کمک زاپاس بارگذاری کنم. به عبارت بهتر لینکش خاموش است و بجایش نوشته

حال این سوال مطرح است چطور کاربران کامانز روزانه دهها عکس را بارگذاری مجدد می کنند و خودم هم در گذشته یکبار این کار را کردم. ولی الان من نمی تونم این عکس را اصلاح کنم؟

طراحی نقشه

سلام مجدد به شما. بازهم گیر_3پیچ هستم. ممنون از جوا سوال قبلی. منظورم همان تصویر بود. پس چند روز دیگر پس مجددا امتحان میکنم.

راستش با این آخرین اکانتم که الان در خدمتتون هستم، سعی کردم هرچه عکس با ارزش بالا در ویکی فارسی موجود است را به انبار منتقل کنم تا در اختیار همگان قرار گیر. حدود 100 تا شد. دیگه عکس خوبی که جامانده باشد سراغ ندارم. حالا فقط مانده یک روز بنشینم و همه‌شان را مفصل رده‌دهی کنم. آخه نمیدونم میدونید یا نه که من رده‌ده خیلی ماهری هستم. بیشتر از هر کاربر دیگه‌ای در ویکی فارسی رده ساختم. بیشتر از هر کاربر فارسی زبان دیگری هم در کامانز رده ساختم. حداقل 3000 ویرایش رده در اینجا دارم که یا با زاپاسهای مختلف است یا با آی پی.

و اما غرض از مزاحمت اینکه کاربر:آرش یکی از مدیران خوب ویکی فارسی ازم خواسته یک نقشه مربوط به دوره ساسانیان برایش ترسیم کنم. من هم هنوز بلد نیستم با نرم‌افزارهای وکتوری کار کنم و فتوشاپ 5 کار میکنم. پس دنبال نقشه های بلنک رفتم و به عنوان مثال این. پس کاری که کردم این بود که با ایلوسترتور 6 بازش کردم و با کلیپ ماسک یک قسمت را که حدود قلمرو ساسانیان بود جدا کردم. ولی به نظرم کیفیتش هنوز پایین است. فکر میکنم نقشه‌های اس‌وی‌جی بدون مرزهای سیاسی دیگری هم باید بارگذاری شده باشند که خطوط ساحلی با جزئیات بیشتری داشته باشند؟ آیا همینطور است؟ در ضمن در نقشه اسکن شده‌ای که برای من فرستاده شده است، رودخانه‌های ایران و کشورهای همسایه هم است. آیا نقشه بلنک با چنین ویژگی هم یافت؟ اگر بخواهم بعد از رستر کردن نقشه رودخانه ها را با دستور پث بیفزایم میترسم کیفیت رودها خوب نشود. شما چه پیشنهادی دارید؟

سوال آخر هم اینکه با توجه به اینکه نقشه قرار است پی‌ان‌جی باشد و احتمالا در سایز 300 در مقاله قرار گیرد، فکر می کنید من این نقشه را در چه سایزی طراحی کنم که وقتی در نمایش کوچک می‌شود، جزئیاتش کمتر آسیب ببیند؟حداکثر

Hi, I'm glad to see you back. it's an interesting idea and it may be actually possible, because Iran's news agencies shouldn't expect anyone to respect their copyright and many people may use their content without any permission, some of news agencies like Mehr already allow their users to use their content provided that they get the proper credit, so they might be interested in publishing their works on Wikimedia projects too, all they have to do is to add a few more words to their copyright notice and be more specific about their license. if you're going to contact them, please remember that they should specifically and irrevocably release their works under a free license which allows commercial use and derivative works (their watermarks can be removed).  ■ MMXX ^talk 17:06, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

قطع دسترسی و بسته شدن

با سلام من تاکنون دوبار توسط شما قطع دسترسی شده ام لازم به ذکر است من کاربر جدیدی هستم و چندان آشنایی به قوانین نداشتم اما تلاش خود را کردم تا با قوانین(که متاسفانه بیشتر هم به انگلیسی بوده) آشنا گردم و طبق آن عمل نمایم اما هربار با کوچکترین خطا شما من را قطع دسترسی کردید! این کار شما هرچند حق شما باشد اما بسی موجب دلسردیست کاش به جای آن فقط یکبار در مورد اینکه چه باید انجام دهم به من توضیح میدادید و هربار با کوچکترین خطا تنها به بستن دسترسی ام بسنده نمیکردید ضمنا من فکر نمیکنم تصاویری که حذف کردید، حذف شدنی باشند چراکه هم توسط سایتهای رسمی آن افراد به نمایش عموم درآمده و هم اجازه نامه لازم را وارد نموده ام همچنین در انتظار OTRS آن میباشم چراکه درخواستهای OTRS را همان ایتدا وارد نمودم با تشکر Shahryar.seven (talk) 21:58, 2 September 2013 (UTC)

در "نمایش عموم" قرار داشتن دلیل آزاد بودن نیست! fa:ویکی‌پدیا:راهنمای حق تکثیر را ببینید. تمامی پرونده‌های حذف شده شما، از منابع غیرآزاد و بدون مجوز برداشته‌شده بودند. متن الگوهای هشدار نقض حق تکثیر به فارسی موجود و به اندازه کافی گویا است، به همین دلیل نیازی به توضیح دوباره نیست، بعد از اینکه بحث خود را بایگانی کردید، چنین فرض کردم که هشدار نقض حق تکثیر را درک کرده‌اید و نیازی به کمک ندارید، همچنین مشخص است که مشکلی برای ارتباط با بنده نداشتید و در صورت نیاز می‌توانستید درخواست کمک کنید. در مورد OTRS هم لطفا صبور باشید تا به آن رسیدگی شود و از درخواست احیا برای پرونده حذف شده خودداری کنید.  ■ MMXX ^talk 15:52, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

Salaam Alaykom. I'm trying to get in touch with Sajed.ir so that they can fix the alleged problems and we can use the pics in commons. Although most of the pics are now useable here, I'm trying to make it completely useable! I followed the pages discussing the problems of this website and found some points which should be fixed. For example, some of their pics were borrowed from other sources! and some of them were TV screen shots. The major problem, as was mentioned in those various long discussions, were not mentioning the authors and/or creators. So my questions are as such:

• How can Sajed.ir fix this problem considering the fact that some of the photographers are really unknown and the pics date back to almost 30 years ago?
• Does the fact that Sajed.ir is a subsection of governmental organizations changes its copy right rules? How?

Salam! the problem is that this website has various unattributed images, from different sources and different times. if the authors and publication information of those works are unknown, then Sajed.ir cannot legally relicense them. being a governmental organization doesn't change anything, and authors and publication information of the images should be available in order to verify their copyright status.

As you know, we can only use free images on Commons. such works are either in public domain, or their authors and copyright holders have released them under a free license. to determine whether a work is free or not, we need some basic information such as authors name and date of first publication. some photos may have been published more than 30 years ago, their authors may have died more than 50 years ago, or the author might be a legal personality, in those cases we can use {{PD-Iran}}, but without some basic information, it is not possible to tell if a work is PD or not. also when someone claims that they have permission from the copyright holders to publish and relicense their works, we have to be able to verify their claim, either by contacting the original authors, or by confirming it through a trustworthy third-party.  ■ MMXX ^talk 15:29, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
