FROM AZTAW - Thank you for answering my query, Jeff. Being new at this, I'm not even sure that I'm putting this message in the correct place. As said, I'm trying to reach KDS4444 regarding the illustration on this page: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Chicken_egg_diagram.svg We are not familiar with .svg files and would like to ask if we could get this as an Illustrator .ai file with layers to customize for our book project, a printed book. This illustration is the best I have see anywhere showing the amniotic egg, but I would like to make some minor modifications to it. I am also a firm believer in giving full credit to artists in captions, and using "KDS4444" for the artist's name would look pretty lame! Since he rarely checks Wikimedia, I hope that you can provide a way to communicate with him directly, or forward my message to him.

@大诺史: Please understand that cat-a-lot can only affect categories that are actually in the wikitext of a page. Thanks for the reply to my question about copyrighted images. One more question though.[edit]

So you said that the file I uploaded was deleted because it had an external source, no license and no permission. I still would like to have Judy Sheindlin's article photo updated, however I know that I did it the wrong way. What is the proper way to do it where I can be granted permission? What am I supposed to click in this case?

@FrenzyMedia: Commons can't accept that photo without COM:L compliant permission from the actual photographer or their contracted designee. @Desmello: You could also crosswiki upload larger (>50KB or >5MP) jpg files or change the summary. If you upload using the Commons Upload Wizard, you can still use the file on English Wikipedia using the normal syntax, as per en:Help:Pictures. @Arnabsaha2212: I don't think so, https://wbtc.co.in/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/logo-WBTCBig.png is pretty blurry, and https://wbtc.co.in/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/logo-WBTCStickyLogo.png is even worse (and off-center), plus both seem to exceed COM:TOO India and have no free licenses. Jeff, I am trying to understand what I need to do so the logos that are used by my organization, that I am a co-owner of, are not incorrectly tagged with a copyright violation. What do I need to do to mark them?   • @Juliannakc: Hi, and welcome to Wikimedia Commons. You may not have noticed: signing one's posts on talk pages here with ~~~~ helps people to find out who wrote something when, and it provides them with a link to one's user and talk pages (for further discussion).
I recommend the {{Cc-by-sa-4.0}} license you already chose as the strictest standalone license we currently allow, but you can choose any license from Commons:Copyright tags.   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 11:58, 30 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
