why have my files been deleted yesterday Commons:Deletion requests/Files uploaded by LaviniusHispanus?[edit]

The discussion had been closed o month ago with the deletion request retracted ~~ LaviniusHispanus (talk) 22:04, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@LaviniusHispanus: . It was pointed out to you there that the EXIF data did not support your claim to be the copyright owner of the images. As such the images were not licensed adequately to be hosted here. The request had been open for a month and nothing had changed so they were deleted. About Hyuna’s file photo.[edit]

So Hyuna’s file picture that I uploaded got deleted, how about yunho(TVXQ)’s file picture doesn’t got deleted, that file picture and the file that I uploaded are also come from the source as the youtube channel, now I’m confused.

Thank you for your attention. Damkerngangkul (talk) 13:38, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

F1 Manager artwork[edit]

Hi, just got your last message and I'm sure I can find an image that would work. My question is this though, how for example on this page is the infobox image allowed when the one I just uploaded was an issue even though as the game developer we would own the copyright? The image I used is already in the public domain on the Google Play store for example. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F1_2019_(video_game)

As the image I wanted to use is essentially the game cover artwork for a mobile title, would it not be covered by the below?

This image is cover art for a video game, and its copyright is most likely held by the game's publisher or developer. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of game cover art to visually identify the game in question on the English Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, constitutes fair use under United States copyright law. Other uses of this image may be copyright infringement. For more information, see Wikipedia:Non-free content. 14:02, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

"No source" tagging sourced imagess[edit]

Good day. I noticed you tagged a number of images as "no source" to be deleted, when they have a stated source. If you think the stated source is incorrect, it might be helpful to give a reason when that may not be obvious to others. I suggest listing for deletion requests. Some images have been on Wikimedia over 7 years and are in use in Wikipedias in multiple languages, so I think some consideration would be merited to provide explanation or discussion before it disappears. Thanks. Cheers, -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 17:06, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

+1 to above. I was going to start a thread about it but Infrogmation already wrote about the same topic, so I'll just add here. I stumbled upon to your tagging of File:Cancer Health Talk .jpg and File:Virgin Atlantic airbus A340-600.jpg with {{No source since}}. The files do have a source ('own work'). You might doubt its authenticity or find the file's derivative work status problematic, but I don't think that would be a clear-cut issue that can be dealt with speedy deletion either way. I believe this template is usually for files with literally no source or obviously false/invalid source - simple and clear-cut issues that won't require any discussion. For problems beyond that, I suggest elaborating your reasoning in a regular deletion request or using a different template instead. I'm not saying all your "no source" tagging is wrong, but some instances (probably a small minority) seem a bit too liberal to be. whym (talk) 03:18, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Not disagreeing with you and I will reflect. However I equally think that a no source tag allows/encourages the uploader to take another look at a questionable file and resolve any issues without the bother of a DR which can be interminable. It works sometimes nt others. --Herby talk thyme 07:49, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File:Maria Jones Actress Public Domain.jpg[edit]

May i ask why did you removed the copyvio tag from this file. The source of the copyright violation wasnt visible but was in the template, and a quick google image search points to several sources. Is there any otrs email to this file? Thanks. Tm (talk) 23:15, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Quite agree with you which is why I originally deleted the image. However if you look on the talk page of the uploader you will see I am in dialogue with them about another image. It looks possible that the one you tagged could be their's too. If I don't hear anything today I will delete again though - simply a case of AGF. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 07:45, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions. Your image or other content, File:Useful pH range of buffers.png, was recently deleted, or will soon be deleted, in accordance with our process and policies, because it was not, or is not, within our scope. Please review our project scope, but in short, Commons is targeted at educational media files including photographs, diagrams, animations, music, spoken text and video clips. The expression “educational” is to be understood according to its broad meaning of “providing knowledge; instructional or informative”. Wikimedia Commons does not contain text articles like encyclopedia articles, textbooks, news, word definitions and such. Each of these other kinds of content have their own projects: Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wikisource, Wikinews, Wiktionary and Wikiquote. If the content seems to fit the scope of one of those other projects, please consider contributing it there. Otherwise, consider an alternative outlet. If you think that the deletion was in error because the contribution really was in scope, you can appeal it at Commons:Undeletion requests, giving a reason why it fits our scope to help others evaluate the matter. Thank you for your understanding. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ultrabem (talk • contribs) 14:57, 17 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Side bar on EXIF abuse[edit]

Hi, noting this thread, I missed the original examples and was intending to return to them later.

I did not want to openly explore the details, as this might accidentally give a bright spammer more ideas to avoid detection, but it may be useful to do a database search on certain qualities of the files. If you think this might be worth a few minutes of further research, I could take a look at one or two examples with the full EXIF intact via email, if there is a good chance that other socks have been used by the same people? If you think in this case they've all be quenched, that's fine, we'll save the volunteer time and use these methods on more enlightening examples.

Thanks -- (talk) 12:30, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That would be very much appreciated - thanks --Herby talk thyme 12:49, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please undelete User:Dr. Milton Schroth[edit]

This user is new but I believe they are attempting to share a large treasure trove of photographs from https://www.plantdiseases.org. If this is true and we can confirm it through OTRS, this would be a huge win for Commons. I will attempt to communicate with them and create the proper custom license. --- C&C (Coffeeandcrumbs) 09:19, 26 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The artice on the user page (if that is what you are referring to) is well outside the scope of Commons which is simply here to host media for use elsewhere. (If you are referring to the multiple galleries without images then the same applies) Thanks --Herby talk thyme 09:21, 26 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I am referring to the user page. We can delete all the paragraphs except the last two paragraphs pertaining to sharing of photographs under "free open access". --- C&C (Coffeeandcrumbs) 09:24, 26 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sock cleanup request[edit]

Hi again. Following up on Commons:Administrators'_noticeboard/User_problems#Wikipedia_sock_turning_to_Commons the other day, would you mind taking a look at User:185.49.75.145 and considering reverting on the same grounds? They've stopped editing, probably as a result of some kind of autoblock, but it'd be good to roll things back before any inappropriate edits or category changes get bedded down by later editors. --Lord Belbury (talk) 21:04, 12 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Crown Sydney[edit]

Hi

I've noticed that a couple of images under the name "crown sydney" have been listed for deletion as a result of copyright. What were the main problems with the pictures? The author could only offer verbal permission for the images to be released into the public domain so i already struggled a fair bit in finding a way to license them. I'm not very experienced myself in this field (hence why i've probably licensed them incorrectly) so i'm absolutely willing to work with you in resolving this issue and hopefully finding a way to properly relicense the images without having them taken down.

Thanks Cement4802 (talk) 12:56, 23 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Undelete User page[edit]

Please revert this action. the user is a kind gentle elderly volunteer who also uploads images from the history of our region. The link to the website is not an ad... it is because people can contact him and ask for more images... he has 170000 files, he cannot upload them all directly, so that's why he provded the website. It's a damage for Commons not to provide it.--Alexmar983 (talk) 00:15, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

i was assisting already, he wrtes me a mail sometimes. So it ìs no big deal. Thank you.--Alexmar983 (talk) 11:12, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File:Kostolom.jpg[edit]

Hi Herbythyme - I saw you'd tagged File:Kostolom.jpg as 'no source'? It seems OK to me, it is sourced as {{Own}}, with the uploader's name. Was there any other reason for tagging it, please? Thre certainly seems to be a problem with its use on Russian wikipedia (!), but that isn't related to the validity of the photo on Commons. Thanks! - MPF (talk) 01:06, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I noticed that you marked File:Jose Arnaiz Real Valladolid.jpg as copyvio. I hesitated to put a speedy tag on it, despite the user's other uploads, because it looks like the club has supplied freely licensed images to Commons in the past (see Category:Files provided by Real Valladolid), so I figured there was a possibility the OTRS ticket on those images apply to new uploads as well. Hi Herbythyme, I notice that you marked File:Sustainable energy authority of Ireland electricity generated by fuel type 2005-2018.png and File:Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland SEAI 2019 Ireland wind power generating capacity 2000-2018.png as copyvio. I uploaded this image as CC AT SA as the source document of the graphic explicitly states: "Reproduction of the contents is permissible provided the source is acknowledged" (see page 2: https://www.seai.ie/publications/Energy-in-Ireland-2019-.pdf). Please advise if I have misunderstood copyright laws here. All the best --1'apprenti du vent (talk) 22:54, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@1'apprenti du vent: Not Herby, but those files are not CC-BY-SA because the PDF doesn't provide a link or copy of the CC-BY-SA license text. It does say in page 2 (4 of 96 for the pdf) that "Reproduction of the contents is permissible provided the source is acknowledged." This is not enough however, in my opinion, because it doesn't explicitly state that the reproduction is for any purpose (like commercial). This should be cleared up if this file will be kept. Once that's cleared up and they didn't use a license, {{Attribution}} can be used. Thanks, pandakekok9 03:25, 6 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In fact, the SEAI's copyright notice is pretty strict. OTRS permission may be required here. pandakekok9 03:34, 6 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks to pandakekok9 and that is my point. The document is clearly copyrighted and there is nothing worth speaking of that indicates it would comply with the licensing we would need to host the images here. COM:OTRS would be essential. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 07:17, 6 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

RE: DaisiesKatyPerry.png[edit]

Hi, it wasn't my intention to create a copyviol. Is there a license with which I can re-license the file or can nothing be done and must be deleted? --Lrt000 (talk) 11:18, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You can probably upload to Wikipedia with a fair use license which is what usually happens with that sort of image. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 11:20, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
But I so that fair use is not accepted on Commons; in short, this file must be deleted or is there a license? If it exists, could you tell me what it is? --Lrt000 (talk) 11:29, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You could leave this as it is possible that others will see it as a "simple" image and so not eligible for copyright. Personally I don't agree but who knows . If it is deleted then there is no valid license for keeping it here I'm afraid. --Herby talk thyme 11:36, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Since it is a simple writing with small flowers around it seems clear to me that it does not exceed the threshold of originality. If the warning remains it is obvious that someone could cancel it, however thanks for the availability. --Lrt000 (talk) 11:50, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Change License to meet approval[edit]

Hi there. I see you've marked the images I've uploaded as "possible copyright violation". They are newspaper clippings written about the artist I'm trying to get a Wiki page live for. I needed to upload significant mentions of the artist André François van Vuuren (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Andr%C3%A9_Fran%C3%A7ois_van_Vuuren) from 3rd party sources. The artist sent me scans of the images I uploaded. I really don't understand the copyright policies of Wikipedia, but I believe that these images should and can be used to references to the artist. Please would you guide me get these images under the correct copyright, if there is a need for one. Thank you! Sorry but newspapers are copyright period. We can't host the images --Herby talk thyme 12:56, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Could you please give me an example of a free licensed piece of 3rd party content that would be accepted as a legit source for a reference? Thanks User talk:HughYMitchell 14:09 20 May 2020 (UTC)
I can't think of anything in terms of images - any press or magazines, books will be copyrighted. --Herby talk thyme 14:36, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

RE:File:Marca blanca Carrefour.jpg[edit]

Hi. There are many photos of copyrighted commercial articles on wikipedia. For example, the Coca-Cola article in Spanish: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca-Cola#/media/Archivo:15-09-26-RalfR-WLC-0098.jpg. What's the difference between that picture and mine? According to the licenses, only the owners of the brand could upload a photo to Commons. Is there any way to upload these photos? Can I only publish them with the express consent of the brand owner? Yours sincerely, Miguel G. Carrasco (talk) 16:04, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If the brand owner wishes to freely license the file that would be fine - COM:OTRS cover that. However Carrefour will have paid a lot of money for the design of their packaging so that is highly unlikely. Otherwise the images may be uploaded to a Wiki wich is happy with the idea of fair use - Commons cannot host such files. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 16:09, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In the category "private labels" there are photos similar to mine that hasn't suffered the same restriction. https://commons.wikimedia.org

Miguel G. Carrasco (talk) 16:21, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Private labels are very different to major brand labels - major brands will not freely license their artwork. --Herby talk thyme 17:18, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Carrefour and DIA are private labels!!! You don't know what you're saying. You don't know what a private label is. I did a search on the Wikipedia articles. The question we have to ask ourselves is if there are any legal photos. https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fanta#/media/Archivo:Australiafanta2lpet.jpg https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Gillette_razor.jpg Miguel González, [20.05.20 14:19] https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Jack-Daniels-at-Lollapalooza.jpg There are no photos of commercial objects with permits in commons. You know it. I showed you many examples. . With your judgement, you must delete thousands of photos. Miguel G. Carrasco (talk) 17:34, 20 May 2020 (UTC) Okay, I understand you're doing the right thing. Delete the photos if you think that's what you should do. But you have to understand that Commons has a lot of photos that violate the rules. Miguel G. Carrasco (talk) 17:48, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You tagged this file as a possible copyright violation with the reason “Copyright at bottom of page”. Then the file was deleted (by uploader’s request) and another version was uploaded.

The deleted version clearly stated CC BY 4.0. It stated it right next to the copyright notice. Now we have a new version with a dodgy footer that doesn’t clarify the copyright status. Perhaps the uploader misunderstood you and tried to remove the copyright notice. In any case, please read the notice more carefully before tagging.

I also started a discussion on the village pump. Brianjd (talk) 14:48, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Would appear to have been restored and re-deleted by now. --Herby talk thyme 15:10, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

RE: F&U Journal Cover Image copyvio violation[edit]

Hey, you tagged an image uploaded on the Streit Council wikipedia page as a potential copyright violation. The image in question is of the Streit Council's journal, and is uploaded with the permission of the copyright holder. Could you please remove the copyvio notice? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Squat10 (talk • contribs) 15:27, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This must be confirmed via COM:OTRS - thanks --Herby talk thyme 07:02, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know...[edit]

You recently marked the following files for deletion stating that the source links do not lead to the image.

I have added proper source-links to the description of the files. Regards,— Vaibhavafro💬 07:31, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Daddy_Issues_The_Movie.jpg[edit]

I got your mail regarding possible copyright violation for the image: Daddy_Issues_The_Movie.jpg Reason: Film Poster the poster is for the Film and I have added that for the film page on Wikipedia. I want to upload a film poster for the film "Daddy Issues" Directed by Laura Holliday's Wikipedia page. What would be the option? Should I re-create the poster in a different way for Wikipedia? Or Flm Grab? Please guide as I am new. --Tabbyindian (talk) 17:10, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We cannot host copyrighted material here on Commons (& anything from a film will be). The only option is to upload the image to Wikipedia as "fair use" - that should be ok. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 06:53, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Why[edit]

Why violated? Shuvail (talk) 11:57, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

is this the right copyright?[edit]

Hi, I've uploaded the covers of the magazine STUDIO and the copyright holder send an email of permission to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org and Nathaniel Tang already approvd and added it to the files pages. Can you please explain to me what I've to do now and why my files can be deleted soon? Thanks a lot!

The images should be fine now with OTRS permission. Thanks for dealing with this. Regards --Herby talk thyme 13:28, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

OTRS[edit]

Hi, I've uploaded some images and i've the permission by the copyright owner and he already send and email to the permission-commons@wikimedia.org address. Ticket#202006151004741 But my files might be deleted soon. I think is because i wrote the wrong tag on the copyright part but I didn't understand what I have to write. Can you please help me? Thanks a lot!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Achille18 (talk • contribs) 08:51, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can see it looks ok - the OTRS appears correct and there is no deletion tag any more so they will not be deleted. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 11:06, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to bother you again! But can I ask you why a still see the deletion tag on my alerts' page? and what should I have to do to cancel it? Thanks!!

I see no deletion tags on your images? Also please do sign your posts. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 10:51, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry! I'm new and I'm still learning. Do you think could be that I write a wrong permission tag? Is this right

Can you tell me which image is causing the problem - I can't find any that I tagged that still may be deleted? Thanks --Herby talk thyme 14:25, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've ✓ Done it . --Herby talk thyme 14:10, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot!! Can you explain to me what you did? Because I've other images that have the same tag! You placed the OTRS ticket correctly. However another user seems to have not seen it and so they placed another tag after you - I simply removed it . I have also removed the other ones that they placed by mistake. Best --Herby talk thyme 08:05, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tribo-Fatigue[edit]

Hello, I have uploaded several files to the Tribo-Fatigue article, In the description of this files, I indicated that I created these files myself. Why do you write that the description of the files does not contain information about who created them? Barejsha02 (talk) 13:05, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Will you please indicate where you found those files - they seems to be from something academic or commercial rather than personal images. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 13:11, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I added sources to the description of these drawings - articles from scientific journals from which these drawings were taken. For example: | source = Sosnovskiy, L. A. Modern science and multidisciplinary education – science – production system: some achievements / L. A. Sosnovskiy, S. S. Sherbakov, A. V. Bogdanovich // Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. - 2018. - V. 33. - P. 3–11. (in Russian). Barejsha02 (talk) 13:46, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The important aspect is what the copyright status is of those scientific journals? Even if you contributed they are nor solely your own work. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 14:03, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What am I supposed to do? I personally know some of the authors of these articles. Barejsha02 (talk) 14:39, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You cannot simply use someone else's work. All items on Commons must be freely licensed and only the copyright holder can do that. Sorry --Herby talk thyme 14:41, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I inform you that I deleted the figure 25 (photo of the MAZ-5440 truck tractor) from article "Tribo-Fatigue" according to your remark. Barejsha02 (talk) 17:28, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the rest of the figures, for which you have comments. These figures have undergone a number of my corrections (compared to their originals in magazines). I consulted with specialists, and they reported that in case of my completion and correction, I can claim to be their copyright holder for Wikipedia. So is it or not? Can you remove your comments on these drawings? Barejsha02 (talk) 17:28, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No - you do not own the original copyright. Yours is derivative of that. Please sign your postings. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 17:25, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I will try to request the magazines in which these drawings are published, so that they provide written permission to post their drawings on Wikipedia, and I will post these permissions in this discussion. Will this be sufficient? But this may take 2-4 weeks. Barejsha02 (talk) 17:34, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Permission has to be given via COM:OTRS and that will then be ok. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 07:06, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I sent inquiries about permission to post figures in the Tribo-Fatigue article to <permissions-commons@wikimedia.org> Barejsha02 (talk) 07:36, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Chinatown Memories page Deletion[edit]

While we understand that Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia has to be sure that creates pages are pertinent to the site's purpose. Our page which you deleted does not fall under the criteria that you cited. Please revert it at when you can. Chinatown Memories (talk) 15:17, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The page has purpose on the commons as the account will be the primary contributor of media direct to the commons. A mention that there is a website is not exactly "promotional" per policy. Chinatown Memories (talk) 15:50, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File:Zona iporreica processo.gif[edit]

Hi Herby! I noticed that you put a No source since template in File:Zona iporreica processo.gif. The file was uploaded by Elibaio91, a student of the Polytechnic University of Milan participating to a wiki course for PhDs, and I see no reason to believe that it is not her work as she claim. I will be away from the computer in the next few days, so I'm pinging @Pigsonthewing and Marco Chemello (WMIT): , who were lecturer and tutor at the course together with me. Bye! --Jaqen (talk) 16:37, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yep - tag removed. It looks like it has come from something academic/book or similar. However I'm happy to leave it for a bit. I'll look again in a week or so. Thanks for the message. --Herby talk thyme 16:40, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Asia Carrera 2000 photographer Don Mantooth.jpg[edit]

Hi. The file Asia Carrera 2000 photographer Don Mantooth.jpg was not a copyright violation. As I informed the other editor who incorrectly tagged it as such, it was uploaded by the copyright holder, Jessica Steinhauser (aka Asia Carrera), per my instructions to her on my Wikipedia talk page. She was unhappy with the shot of her that was at in her article's Infobox at the time, and I intructed her that if she owned a good replacement, that she should upload it to the Commons, with the right license, and that if she did, we could place it in the article. Can you please restore it? Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 16:43, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Restored but... It definitely would need OTRS permission from Don Mantooth for us to host the image so it's tagged as "no permission" now. --Herby talk thyme 16:48, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Don Mantooth is not the owner of the photo. A photographer is not automatically the owner of the copyright of a file. In professional or private studio photography for hire, the owner is the one who is designated by the owner by the subject and photographer when they agree to a photoshoot. In this way, a photographer is no more automatically the owner than the guy who takes the official White House portraits of Presidents, to use another example. In those shoots, despite the photographers is paid with taxpayer money, which makes them public domain (i.e.: the property of the American public). Ms. Steinhauser expressedly informed me in discussions with me that she is the owner of the photo. Nightscream (talk) 16:59, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright images[edit]

Hello Herby,

I just noticed that 12 of my uploaded pictures are in violation of copyright rules. I do apologize. I thought I had done my due diligence in providing as much information I could retrieve, but I do understand that rules do need to be followed. Perhaps you could suggest how to go about making these pictures allowable on Wikipedia? If I were to contact the owner / creator of the pictures directly, would that be one way to correct the issue? What would they need to provide me?

Thank you, kindly and be well,

Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 12:18, 5 July 2020 (UTC))[reply]

You certainly can try and contact the owners directly and get them to confirm permission via COM:OTRS. However particularly in the case of Vogue and imdb that simply is not going to happen I'm afraid. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 12:21, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Herby, I can't find all the work I've put into my page. It's as though it's gone? I didn't purposely break the rules; I included all the information I thought was needed. I've put so many hours into this project, please tell me it hasn't been deleted?

I am absolutely devastated... I don't understand why my countless hours of work has been deleted. I am genuinely sorry and at no time did I purposely attempt to violate the rules; I included all information that I deemed necessary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryancoke2020 (talk • contribs) 12:41, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 12:36, 5 July 2020 (UTC))[reply]

It does not appear that your images have gone so I can only assume you are referring to a page on Wikipedia regarding actual deletion - that is a separate project and we have no control over that. The images will be deleted here as we cannot host copyright material. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 13:52, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

OK - this is about Wikipedia and we (Commons) have no influence over Wikipedia. In practice there is little I can say as I have relatively little experience on Wikipedia. One tip would be to look at similar pages to yours and see how they are laid out and worded maybe. However you should be able to find folk who are helpful on that project. --Herby talk thyme 14:56, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
