Hi @GreenMeansGo: The image is taken from a media gallery in the official Mondadori website, where some images like this are distibuted with CC BY-SA. See source page or [1]. --Marco Chemello (WMIT) (talk) 20:26, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Derp. Obvious evidence of permission is obvious. Sorry about that. That's what I get for having too many tabs open. GMGtalk 20:30, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

File move requests[edit]

Hi, on the files you have changed year/dates on and requested a file move, it would be helpful for file movers if you included a reference to the source of this information. TommyG (talk) 08:23, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@TommyG: Changes are related to the date of death of the artist, always specified in the author field and creator pages, or to the exact date of the artowrk, found in a different version of the same image (specified in other versions field). The previous supposed dates are wrong (our fault) considering the date of death of portrayed person. Thank you in advance. --Marco Chemello (WMIT) (talk) 08:28, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@TommyG: As I don't like to disturb admins/filemovers too often (but I need to fix many files), I made a request for rights. --Marco Chemello (WMIT) (talk) 08:54, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
A, right, sounds like a good idea. I assume you'll sort them out yourself then as I see you've already been given File mover. TommyG (talk) 09:18, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Loves Monuments 2021[edit]

Caduti in inglese[edit]

--Marco Chemello (WMIT) (talk) 06:52, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Loves Monuments 2023 è iniziato: partecipa anche tu![edit]

Buongiorno Marco Chemello (WMIT),

Qui puoi consultare Il regolamento completo e per qualsiasi dubbio puoi scrivere a contatti@wikilovesmonuments.it.

Categorie standard musei[edit]

Se guardi in Category:Collections in Italy by museum puoi vedere come lo standard sia "Collections of the NOME MUSEO", e non altre versioni. Come sottocategorie "Paintings in the NOME museo" ecc. Grazie Sailko (talk) 15:00, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Sailko Grazie, farò del mio meglio. Marco Chemello (WMIT) (talk) 07:34, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Marco Chemello, this is a reproduction (legally a derivative) obviously of a page out of magazine with the copyright either by the original photographer of the depicted car and/or the editor. Did you obtain a blanket release of rights from the rightsholder? --Túrelio (talk) 09:07, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Túrelio Seems to be a poster inside the museum (produced by the museum itself). We have a general permission for those photographs (provided by the museum itself) that will be uploaded soon. Marco Chemello (WMIT) (talk) 09:11, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Marco Chemello (WMIT)!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.
