Es enserio quiero las imágenes para el proyecto que estoy realizando, por favor no quiero que las BORREN, por favor, necesito estas imágenes. Oi! Sinceramente falando o assunto não me interessa mais já que na minha época ativa na ptwiki marquei centenas de imagens para eliminação que não respeitavam URC por diversas razóes. Mesmo assim: Antigamente me orientei somente pela altura da imagem como indicado em px. Eu não me lembro mais como tratei imagens vectorizados tipo .svg que possam ter no upload original < 501px mas que de fato oferecem tamanhos maiores. Exemplos: pt:Ficheiro:EscudoKronaFutsal.svg (> 500px), pt:Ficheiro:Reuters logo.svg, pt:Ficheiro:Logotipo do SBT.svg etc.
Por curiosidade: como você elaborou a sua lista pt:Usuário:Rodrigolopes/Imagens acima de 500 px de altura? Via API? Na época usei este API request (no exemplo para ficheiros carregados 01.02.2015-20.02.2015) e procurei na lista por "height": 5 para encontrar ficheiros com altura de 5XX (continuando a procura com "height": 6, "height": 7 (...etc...) "height": 10 (...etc...).
O ficheiro mencionado na discussão já consta no Commons via File:1895-9-8-foto-monumento-batalha-de-Magul.jpg (usei o título idêntico porque às vezes um título diferente quebra o "For the Common Good"). Espero que o uploader foi preciso em indicar "Henrique Mitchell de Paiva Couceiro" (1861—1944) como autor já que não consegui verificar a data da inauguração do monumento e o suposto autor não se destacava como fotógrafo... Could you please examine this file?

Hi Gunnex! Don't worry, I won't ask you to keep pictures for a project I'm working on! I can't believe what he wrote, especially since he can keep those pictures in many places, including his hard drive, Instagram, a Facebook album, etc.! Outrageous! Anyway, I found a file that I'm 100% sure is not own work but it doesn't seem to be on the Internet. Here it is: File:LisaSmit.jpg. That's a professional job, clearly, but since I can't find it anywhere, I suspect it's a screenshot from one of the movies she's acted in. Do you have a technique or the necessary skills to prove this theory? Do screenshots and regular camera shots have different types of data? Not really... well, besides File:PieterJanHagens.jpg dpc resolution is in the metadata, which can be commonly found (but not always) in (video) screenshots. Coincidence (?): Besides Lisa Smit all actors/presenters were present at nl:Wie is de Mol?, a Dutch reality TV show. Lisa Smit herself, Daniel Boissevain and Patrick Martens (the other uploads) are also acting in the current airing Dutch TV reality show nl:De Zeven Zeeën, started on March 30. Eventually, it may be worth to ask uploader via deletion request for further details and orginal metadata.
"Do screenshots and regular camera shots have different types of data?" Yes, but exif data is manipulable by software or may be lost if the original file was edited/compressed. Some tools you may use to check exif data and get an impression what metadata could be available:

Hi again, Gunnex! Many thanks for your reply. I appreciate the research you did with the files uploaded by that user. It makes sense to suspect that those files are screenshots from that TV reality show, but I don't feel competent enough to nominate them for deletion! I just know that those files are not own work... impossible! The quality is too good and the uploader surely did not have the chance to be so close to all of those actors. And even if he did, he would not release those pictures to Commons. Thanks for the tools! That's very kind of you! I will have to check them out sooner than later, but these days I've been nominating articles for deletion as if there was no tomorrow! Even with a new trick that I discovered for finding pictures, it requires time and effort. And just in case someone deletes the Lisa Smit picture, I saved it already! :) Thanks again! Hi Gunnex! I know you are very busy but I have encountered a strange situation in a deletion discussion that I opened. You once helped me to decide to withdraw a nomination (the F/A-18 picture), so maybe your knowledge could help me here: Commons:Deletion requests/File:Arrasate-mondragon.jpg. The uploader is interesting because he has a ton of pictures that have been threatened with deletion, yet he has been able to defend many of them very well, so they were kept on many occasions, and in some cases it seems as if pictures were deleted but he fought for them successfully to be undeleted. This time, if you can check, his best defense is that he uploaded a fuller (uncropped) version of the picture nominated for deletion, to try to prove that he took the picture, instead of a random guy in Spain who claims that it is his. The dates might have some value too, as well as the quality of the pictures when you compare them, maybe. My main concern is that the "original" photo that he posted in the deletion discussion might be from a magazine, and I still haven't learned the techniques you showed me. Could you please take a look? And any other thoughts of yours in that deletion discussion would be very much appreciated. I'm going kind of crazy with this situation, so please help me! Hi! As indicated the copyright holder is most likely Hhmb — and it was correct to withdraw the nomination. Republisher of images originally uploaded at Commons often don't care about providing source, attribution & license as requested by the related uploaders --> see also Category:Files reused by external parties out of compliance with licensing terms. The photo is also not a scan from a magazine print (too dusty), or better: it was never printed by El Correo: The source http://tusfotos.elcorreo.com ("tus fotos" --> "your photos") is just a photo hosting service offered by El Correo, where everybody (after registration) can host virtually his own (supposed) images. To insinuate somebody (who uploaded an image in 2006) a copyright violation based only on because someone else republished the photo in identical res 5 years later in 2011 is quite contradictory & fallacious.
Long-term copyright violations are quite hard to find and the process is time-consuming (Internet changing all day, domains disappearing etc.) but sometimes gives some positive results, as shown (recent example) here. Gunnex (talk) 08:53, 22 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Gunnex! Thanks for leaving me a notice on my talk page because the system continues to fail to notify me when your talk page is modified (with other talk pages it works fine - strange!), and thanks for the very detailed explanation of the situation! As you know, I was fooled by the fact that El Correo is a well-known newspaper in Spain; also, the user "AngelMara" not only claims that the picture is his, but he also describes the picture, writing that it's the beginning of the street where he was born. The problem is that I wasn't born yesterday, but I gave that impression when I nominated that file for deletion! If the newspaper showed that picture in a real article (not a photo hosting section), attributing it to someone, then maybe it could have been nominated, but even in that case the date would have been a problem if it was 2011 (compared to 2006, when it was uploaded to Commons). Also, thanks for confirming that the photo was not scanned from a physical magazine. Later I will study the other links that you generously provided (I took a look, and clearly it will take me a while to understand that information). I really do appreciate the time you put into helping me with this situation, and I'm happy that you said that it was correct to withdraw the nomination. Have a great day! Oi! Boa parte do artigo (principalmente o começo até a seção "Duas Linhas" + seção "E na Nova Zelândia" e o final começando pela seção "Propriedades da Família") é uma mera tradução da dewiki. A seção pt:Von Randow (Nobreza)#Randows no Brasil a partir do parágrafo começando com "No jornal dos Imigrantes desta colônia, no ano de 1853 (...)" até "(...) Eles tiveram nove filhas e cinco filhos." foi copiado de http://familiavonrandow.wix.com/info#!historia/cjg9 (use o cache para poder melhor comparar). A seção pt:Von Randow (Nobreza)#Brasão é bem parecida com o texto já publicado anteriormente via http://familiavonrandow.wix.com/info#!brasao/c1ubd (© Copyright 2014 Família von Randow.). Somando: ""em nada diferem" --> bom, literalmente eles diferem sim, mas só pelo tamanho do conteúdo (especialmente "Randows no Brasil" e "Brasão"), mas o resto é muito ligado com o artigo na dewiki. A problem with the license

Hi Gunnex! Although this file has been published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License, there is a problem with it to be copied to Wikimedia Commons via CommonsHelper. Hi! Maybe CommonsHelper is down? You may (as an alternative) try out the transfer tool "For the Common Good", available at en:User:This, that and the other/For the Common Good. Please check before transferring if not COM:FOP#Iran issues are involved (building of en:Senate of Iran, designed by architect Heydar Ghiaï (1922—1985) in 1955). There may be also other copyright issues involved considering previously published at http://www.cabein.com/cabein/2009/03/04/persian-architcture/ (2009) = http://www.cabein.com/cabein/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/766px-senat_03.jpg which leads to File:Senat_03.jpg uploaded by Yghiai in 2007 but which was deleted in 01.2010 due to missing permission. en:File:Dome of the Tehran Senate House, 1971 (internal view).jpg (uploaded 2 month later in 03.2010 at enwiki) appears to be a reupload. Commons users

Wow, you just nominated a whole heck of a lot of photos for deletion. I checked over a bunch of them and found really no problem with quite a few. Photos like File:St Johns Wilmot Church 03.JPG or File:Clarke Berrian House.JPG are probably self-taken, and other photos like File:New Rochelle land purchase 1688 02.jpg already had enough of an argument that I wouldn't have nominated it for deletion.--ɱ (talk) 14:16, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

After reading about Jvolkblum I'm now convinced many of these photos (if not all of them) were uploaded by him. He seemingly was as big on New Rochelle history and Thomas Paine as these Commons users, and as devious in evading copyright and detection. Though that doesn't mean we can delete all photos by these users. A few of them are fairly licensed, like File:New Rochelle land purchase 1688 02.jpg.--ɱ (talk) 14:32, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Thx for opinion. Did you check the tons of copyvios detected yesterday and stored at User talk:HRT2013 and did you also check my update at Commons:Deletion requests/Files uploaded by HRT2013 (only a few findings)? If a user presents enough criminal energy in uploading several copyrighted images in a systematic way (including use of eventual socks), COM:PRP applies because there are no more grounds and faith availabe to differ between supposed "own works" and works grabbed from other copyright holders. Imagens eliminadas

Olá Gunnex, tive algumas imagens eliminadas e só agora tomei conhecimento. Não tenho vindo ao Commons com frequência. Quanto ao Aviso de eliminação de ficheiro em minha [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Jurema_Oliveira PD;, as fotos das esculturas do Carybé são de minha autoria e recortadas para colocar aqui, mas já foram colocadas outras do mesmo trabalho feitas por outro editor. Estou encontrando problemas com as fotos do Batuque de 1 a 8 que foram fornecidas por um editor do Rio Grande do Sul com autorização em 2004, não me lembro mais onde está essa autorização, mas foi enviada ao Commons. Oi! Não posso verficar o histórico das imagens eliminadas. Em relação às fotos de Carybé, ver a justificativa de eliminação na página Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Sculpture Carybé. Os ficheiros File:Batuque1.jpeg, File:Batuque2.jpeg (...) File:Batuque8.jpeg foram apagados por serem publicados sem permissão do autor original (aparentemente sem ou com OTRS ticket insuficiente).   • Those images where upload with agreement from the author, and the author is even named, which would be impossible to know from website links. The authorization from the author was redirected to an email from wikimedia (the OTRS-team). As such, all those picture where upload with full knowledge from the author who released it to the given commons licence. As such, if the database is preserved, it is there. Related: File:Tricana norte grupo lead.jpg (and other files). Apparantly no OTRS-ticket was received and/or processed by COM:OTRS team which would have (after checking the correspondance with the copyright owner) issued an OTRS-ticket and would have tagged the file accordingly. As time passes, I delete old emails. I can ask them for a new permission. But the best is to search the database in OTRS better, with emails coming from me. Because I remember very well sending them an email, because before that, I got picture deleted with full permission, because there was no ticket (at the time, there was no OTRS team!) Since then, I got in touch with OTRS and they replied with a number, but I cant recall which. It is too far back in time. We are in 2015!

I've received a lot of notifications from you on my Talk page. It seems like your doing some maintenance. That's nice. Please, proceed in the way you consider you have to do but please stop posting notification after notification on my talk page. I know that is a good way to inform others about what is about to happen with their contributions but I'm not really interested in discussing anything on any image. Some of those pictures are really mine meanwhile you're right with some others but I'm not interested in talking about whether you should keep them o delete them. If the community does not consider they must be here, proceed. I received several e-mail notifications with every post and that is turning a little bit annoying for me when the notification is about the very same matter once and again. Keep doing what you are doing and do what you think you have to do. I trust you are doing it for well.

The seal of Dili have some TWO HUNDRED YEARS. It's available to everyone, all you have to do is to go to a supplier, and ask for the stamp celebrating the 200 years of the city of Dili, issued in 1969.

I have written to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org but I repeat it here. All the images you have objected to are my copyright. The confusion arose because I have 3 aliases on flickr.com from the time that flickr limited accounts to 200 Mb. They are: Rafferty Fazakerly, Sean Hare and Ernest Denim. All photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons with cross-references to any of those flickr.com user names are my copyright. I took the photos in question. Tu observación carece de sentido, pues la norma peruana al referirse a "textos oficiales de carácter legislativo, administrativo o judicial" no indica únicamente a lo escrito sino a toda la documentación que forma parte del documento legislativo, administrativo o judicial. No se si serás peruano, pero aquí en el Perú los documentos con valor de leyes o actos administrativos están conformados por texto anexos que pueden ser mapas o cartografía. Google Earth Images

Sir, can you please explain why GE images are not permitted on Wiki? As I understand it, GE allows for use of its images as stated here. As far as the watermark issue is concerned, WP:IUP states: Free images should not be watermarked, distorted, have any credits or titles in the image itself or anything else that would hamper their free use. Now, the Google Earth watermark does not hamper the free use of the images, as the images are not being used for commercial purpose. GE itself allows for copying the images. The watermark indeed is used by GE to allow attribution to the image thus copied/used. What I understand from the WP:IUP is that it mean that if an image has been watermarked by the original source so that it SHOULD NOT be used elsewhere or is not altered or redistributed as someone else's work, then that image should not be used. But the GE freely allow its images to be used (as stated in its image policy) anywhere LESS at commercial projects like book, TV etc. Wikipedia is a non-commercial project, so I guess there should not have been an issue. I have also asked this question at Media copyright questions board hereI'll appreciate if you clarify as I am not much savvy of copyright polices. I (more or less) understand what you wrote (I am fluent in Portuguese so Spanish is not so far away...) but — considering User talk:JMRAFFi (tons of copyright violations) and Commons:Deletion requests/Files uploaded by JMRAFFi (2x mass deletion requests) — you uploaded photos (from multiple sources as Flickr/Panoramio/Facebook/blogs/sites etc.) which were NOT taken by you. You declared all these stolen photos as "own work", licensed them under a free license without caring to obtain written permissions from the original photographers. As a consequence, all these works were deleted. Note that all you uploads from your Panoramio account were NOT affected by the deletions. If you have a written permission from a copyright holder allowing you to publish the file under a free license, please read and follow the steps described at COM:OTRS (English) Commons:OTRS/es (Spanish).
Regarding your Facebook examples: these are most likely all derivated works from material, already elaborated and published by others and most likely copyrighted. Primero comentarte que yo soy Jackie Saad Robinson, el diseñador y productor de moda del que se describe en el artículo, muy conocido en Colombia. El correo que estoy usando para este usuario es pr@madeinheavenproductions.com y pertenece a mi empresa Made In Heaven Productions. Muchas de las imágenes que he subido son totalmente mías, tomadas por mí o que tienen mis derechos, ya que el de evento de Hernán Zajar que reportaste, lo organicé yo. La fotografía en mi perfil, es mía, soy yo. Fue tomada en Bogotá y está en mi facebook, que es lo que me indigna. Las fotografías que reportaste como violación de derechos de autor fueron tomadas de mi Facebook y de mi Flicker. Son mías, soy yo. Están totalmente libres de violación de derechos de autor porque en ellas salgo yo.

Quisiera aclarar este tema porque me tiene muy preocupado, ya que no he podido subir ninguna foto mía porque siempre le encuentran algún problema. Por favor, si no es inconveniente, me gustaría que me recomendaras cómo subir una foto y darles los respectivos derechos, aunque la fotografía sea mía. Te lo agradezco mucho. Arimaa icon set

Hi. I'm a little confused as to why you tagged the Arimaa icon set for deletion. The source given has clear permission: So, enough of the analysis: here are 2 zips of the pieces in SVG format, one set of traditional silver vs. gold, and one set of black vs. white. I’m releasing these under a CC-BY license, mostly because if someone does make a commercial client/book/whatever, then I want them to at least have the option of using my icons. Não. "tal imagem provém do meu acervo pessoal de imagens". "Possuir fotos" não significa que você é também dono dos direitos autorais. Também não é "trabalho próprio" porque não tirou esta foto (ver também User talk:Murilo77lf + sock User talk:Murilo12LF (bloqueado)). Para a foto os direitos autorais vencem passados 70 anos da data de falecimento do autor ou per {{PD-Brazil-media}} = setenta anos, a contar de 1° de janeiro do ano subsequente ao de sua divulgação = (presumindo uma divulgação em 1959) protegido pelo menos até o final de 2029.
