Защо има една "copyright violation" за използването на логото на БАН в френската статия "fr:Académie bulgare des sciences" (вие премахнахте файла "BAS logo" от Wikimedia Commons), докато английската статия по същата тема мога да го използва ? Благодария Ви за вашия отговор. --Hubertgui

Прошу прощения, что по-русски, по-болгарски только читаю. Английская Википедия разрешает использование несвободных изображений (в том числе логотипов), что и указано на en:File:Bulgarian Academy of Sciences logo.png. For images such as File:Narcisoirurieta.jpg (you just scan image) you should credit original author or date of creation if author unknown and use appropriate public domain tag.

Please upload File:Cgoic.jpg in better resolution if it possible.

Help with images for Learning Link Ghana contribution

Hi Eugene,

Thank you for your help with editing my contribution about Learning Link Ghana.

I notice you have deleted two of the images I uploaded and put a warning tag on the other.

I am very new to Wikipedia, and not a copyright expert, but these images are the charity's logo and photographs of the charity trustees. I would assume these are the property of the charity's members.

I am secretary and trustee of the charity, and the members consent to these images being used for the purpose of a Wikipedia page to provide information to the public about the charity. The images feature on the charity's website at www.learninglinkghana.org. I am an administrator to this website and have access and editing rights to the information and images there. I notice other charities' pages have logos, and would be grateful for any advice you can give me about this.

I think the images support the information in the contribution and help the reader to visually identify with the charity.

If you see, before, I was colocate the license in a website ( as wikicommons demand ) in a external link, free license of all my images and creations, ok? "I", do you understand? I'm the creator, I'm the designer, and I left all the right to publicate my own works in wikicommons. What part of "ALL IMAGES ARE MINE, I'M THE DESIGNER, PHOTOGRAPHER ETC" don't understand???!!!! Why you and other insist in "no permissions", are you blind? or really your english classes are worst in your country?

I'll delete all your errors, cause all the licences were indicated before in a external link (remember, a mail isn't a necesary condition, is an option, and I accomplished this condition about indication of licences, I hope that you understand the next phrase of the label of wikicommons:

"This file is missing permission. It has an author and source, but there is no proof that the author agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to a webpage with an explicit permission". I filled all the coditions.

Oни взяты с сайта www.airliners.net (участник и сам это указал), но выложены на Викискладе под лицензией "общественное достояние", что совершенно недопустимо. My guess is that it is because the up loader does not quite understand what is expected. I agree that these are good questions but I also believe that it had been better to ask these questions on User_talk:Erik_Damskier#Image_Tagging_File:Ole_Schwalbe_01.png to help the up loader understand the problems. Думаю, полезно было бы сделать шаблон для марок со ссылкой на Commons:Stamps/Public domain и добавить его с помощью робота во все изображения марок. Всё-таки проверять будет легче.

Что касается открыток и конвертов, то не думаю, что для них применимо только Commons:Stamps/Public domain.

This image is not something different: low resolution and missing EXIF (similar to other images uploaded by same user). Sorry, but domesticated dogs categories quite huge. I think, you're right; the user uploading these pictures was a linkspammer who now is blocked. We (the "Dogs Redaction" in german wikipedia) just used it for bad example (in brachycephaly in dogs). As usual for Russian sites :-) term use (использование) is not clear enough: nothing about unrestricted modification and commercial usage. Source attribution is also required in fair use like provision of copyrights law of Russia. You deleted File:Mandre letecke.jpg and marked 10 other files by template "no permision". As we can see, the uploader of those files is Karel Hrdina, the author of photos is Karel Hrdina and Karel Hrdina is the owner of Novalja Travel Agency and its website as well. This man has given his permission (licence) to each of this photos. It means, "no permission" isn't suitable template for such cases. Permission of author is given evidently. The template "no permission" isn't suitable for those cases. Permission was given. You should use something like "author's identity isn't confirmed" template. I wouldn't be surprised if the author don't understand your request. You ask anything but that which is missing. Btw, almost nobody is proving identity of yourself here. It should be explained to the author, why just he have to be authenticated. Besides, even if somebody sends an OTRS confirmation, not even it proves the author's identity or the autorship of photo. The author probably uses Commons only seldom and he will react hardly, because from the used templates he cannot take what is been asked. Ten quality photos will be deleted unnecessarily, though the author and license are stated clearly. Renaming an image

Hello again, Eugene. You recently renamed succesfully my user name here in Commons, thank you so much. I hope you'll can help me again concerning this image: File:Oshibuchi_shiden-kai.jpg. I wrongly named it with the name "Oshibuchi" (a WWII pilot), but now I know it's not sure at all this particular plane was the one flown by Oshibuchi: there are five other pilots who could have left the aircraft, sinking consequently as it did in the Bungo strait. All of them, including Oshibuchi, disappeared the same day in the same area during the same battle (July 24th 1945). So the reader can be induced in error because of the name of the image. I suggest to simply rename it as File:Shikoku_shiden-kai.jpg ("Shikoku" being the name of both the island and the museum where the wreck is kept). I placed a "renaming banner", following what it seems to be the official Commons procedure (that was what recommended a french colleague). I'm not sure about the effectiveness of this procedure since nothing seems to happen... what should be done? Thank you again! Kintaro (talk) 20:13, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

This is the fist thing I did. If you look closely (here, File:Oshibuchi_shiden-kai.jpg) you'll notice there are two versions of the file. I uploaded the new one with the requested name (Shikoku_shiden-kai.jpg), but Commons only changed the file keeping the same former wrong name ("Oshibuchi_shiden-kai.jpg" instead of "Shikoku_shiden-kai.jpg"). Now the two versions are named wrongly... and they are exactly the same picture! What else could be done to fix the problem and definitely rename the file ? Sorry for the trouble... I think this was happened because you click on upload new version of file. Just do regular Commons:Upload and make sure Destination filename: field is filled with correct name you desire for this file on Commons. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:00, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

Undeletion of "leed1.jpg"

Hi. You have deleted a picture I had put in an article ("leed1.jpg") I had created es:educación propagandistica. The pic was related with the aricle´s theme, and it was necessary to understand the article´s content. I don´t konw why it has been deleted, in the history only says "political poster" and I know it is, but it´s not put with politicals aims, only as an example (how can be read in the text under hte pic) but I think it´s necessary to put that image in the article. Is there any problem with a political poster? How can I recover it, or how have I to upload it? Thanks, and sorry for my English.

What I did was traced, creating vector data: Adobe Illustlator, from photograph which company Honda officially providing, and were accepted both creating drawings and uploading as original illustlation, then painted into line drawings: which made in previous process, air brushing: Adobe Photoshop, and Wacom Cintiq, to create my own drawings. If Wikipedia denies upoading drawings nothing similar to others in photoshooting angle, situation, and color, I may need to accept deletion.

Well, change a point of view; what judges you drawings are scanning images and makes you to delete? Describe me and all viewers in fool proof explanation.

I strongly disagree with your judge that my drawings are belong to Commons:Derivative works and should be deleted from Commons. Since I was permitted from company Honda, who owns copyrights, to use their pictures as basic object to trace and paint, to create original drawings and to use as figure in Wikipedia explanations, you may have no right to self judge and terminate them, unless company Honda claimed against my drawings. I have explained company Honda that I am not in area where hard to find objects, and/or phototaken due to many of models are exported, not domestic. Thus, company Honda authorized to publish if my drawings are in level to as follows:

• able to recognize a basic shape: stay out from exaggeration.
• able to identify not as photograph: keep in simple defnition.
• able to reject own copyrights: avoid marchandise planning.

To fulfill these requests, I created drawings in methodo of tracing and painting in size of 72dpi/1280pixels.

Let me ask you one thing; WHO HAS COPYRIGHT OF ORIGINAL PICTURES, AND WHO COMPLAINED? Four images from Schwarzwälder Bergradsport GmbH

Hi EugeneZelenko, I have restored following four images that were deleted by you before as a permission was missing:

There exists an OTRS ticket regarding these four images which is now referenced in all four image descriptions. The permission, however, is at the moment not satisfactory such that this is still a pending issue. I have restored the images, though, as this allows the copyright holder to verify the images and the image descriptions. Unfortunately, we had a significant backlog in the permissions-commons-de queue which went back to February when I joined the OTRS team some days ago. I try now to get all old cases closed. I already unflagged it and changed the archive to note "approved, no flag required". The discussion pretty clearly came out that the community is happy to have the bot around, but that it shouldn't be flagged. (note the "Flag Y/N? : N" in the request header) ... there's a difference between "not flagging" a bot and "disapproving" of the bot.   Текст письма не совпадает, потому что я по просьбе автора фотографий убрал излишнюю информацию про человека со своей страницы, но в письме на ОТРС все данные приведены полностью. Зачем это сделано - чтобы посетители типа Мазепы не читали. Администраторы читать могут непосредственно в ОТРС. Вот полный текст, 100% совпадающий с посланным на Коммонс. Можно проверяющему об этом написать (сам английского не знаю)? И ещё чтобы он закрыл ОТРС Маркова от 2007 года: вот полный оригинал и сообщил его номер? Заранее благодарен.

Благодарствую. А вот такой вопрос: имеется обложка диска Дип Пёпл 1969 года. На ней размещена картина умершего 490 лет назад Иеронима Босха, тысячи раз репродуцировавшаяся. Это вся обложка диска; на ней, кроме надписи "Апрель", ничего нет. Надпись явно выполнена не художественным шрифтом, а тривиальным стандартным. On these club logos is no copyright, since NAC Breda didn't took any steps to register these logos. Could you therefore please undelete the two files and restore them back into the English NAC Breda page on Wikipedia? You also indicated that it's unclear who made the picture '1926nacsquad.jpg'. This picture is derived from a book, which doesn't have copyrights and from which the writer indicated I was allowed to use this photo. How to proceed in this?

Project scope

How do you the scope of these two images: File:Michele_Merkin_1_ad.jpg and File:Michele_Merkin_1-42.jpg? Both are Fun-Edits during a Quality-image-discussion on DE-wiki - not on Commons. In my view these files should be deleted, because both are not within the project scope of Commons. In addition the written stuff (in both files) has nothing to do with reality. Images like these two must be stored in local wikipedias - there they can be within the scope, but not on Commons. Am I right or not? Usurpation of banned account A2

I saw that you renamed a guy under me today into Gus and that this account name was used on :pl too but you didn't warn him like me. So I don't understand your argument of a “more unique name”. I'm begining to think it's only because that name is used on :ru. Do you know that A2 ? Does he want to have its name on commons too? Кто-то уничтожил категорию и раскатегоризовал военные фотографии Харькова из Бильд- и Бундес-архивов Германии: [2] Теперь их вообще не найти. Нельзя ли каким-то образом отменить все правки данного бота во всех изображениях в отношении данной категории и восстановить саму категорию? Спасибо. (Данную фотографию нашёл только потому, что у неё была ещё категория "Госпром". Rename Request/ Bison-343 to Rbmk343

There is a problem; few day I maked a request for change User:Bison-343 to User:Rbmk343, and, I'm know it's my error, you renamed to Bison-343 and created/ or linked (?) others account on species and meta (under Bison-343). ANd I just create four accounts (wikipedia, wiktionary, wikisource and commons, under Rbmk343). I will "create" other acounts on other project, probably meta-wiki and Wikispecies.

In fact I request the name "Rbmk343" on Commons, for later link them with the SUL, just later.
