Albert Boeken

Dag, Chescargot.

Kun je me hierover adviseren?

Streetview afbeeldingen

Uiteraard informeren wij u graag over voorkomende rechtenkwesties.

Thanks for uploading File:BOEK t73-1-ZONNEWIJZER.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Albert Boeken (2)

Encycloon (talk) 12:05, 25 July 2020 (UTC)

File:AlbertBoeken.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Ciell (talk) 15:07, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

--Chescargot (talk) 08:12, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
@Ciell: --Chescargot (talk) 15:10, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
Ciell (talk) 22:07, 18 October 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:ThomasHaulogNavis.png.

Thank you.

Ciell (talk) 15:08, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
Pay attention to copyright
File:Aquileia Basiliek-situatiekaartje.png has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.

The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.)

  • This file is a copyright violation for the following reason: satellite image, quite similar to google maps 2020, with the campanile replaced by graphics. Compare the 2 cars on the oval car park on the right side.
Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Hallo Chescargot,

Sorry about that.

(Of ontkennen, natuurlijk!) Vysotsky (talk) 20:10, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

Vysotsky (talk) 20:10, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

Vysotsky (talk) 20:55, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
✓ Done Vysotsky (talk) 22:00, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

Chescargot (talk) 08:28, 1 September 2022 (UTC)

Vysotsky (talk) 21:08, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
Dankje! Chescargot (talk) 22:21, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

Snails and calemares.jpg

Dear, I am writing you regarding the title file. You locate it at the 2011 Aplec del Cargol, but I don't see any snails in the photo. It shows squid, mussels, clams and pork and rabbit, so it's probably a rice dish but no snails. That's why I have recategorized the file. Thank you and a hug. AlbertRA (talk) 20:44, 1 November 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for the alert. No problem at all for the relocation. When I toke the picture, I was told there were snails inside it as well - which seemed only logical, considering the goal of the festival, so I didnt question it at that point. If only I could have tasted that one, I would have noticed. Anyways, from your phrasing I gather you are familiar with what is being cooked in that particular (giant) dish. So thanks for the correction. Chescargot (talk) 09:03, 3 November 2022 (UTC)

Notification about possible deletion

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. Round 1 of Picture of the Year 2022 voting is open!

2022 Picture of the Year: Saint John Church of Sohrol in Iran.

Read this message in your language

Dear Wikimedian,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2022 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2022) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the two most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 1 will end on UTC.

Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee

Dag,

File:TelluricCurrentAustralia1991.jpg

Hi Chescargot, would you mind stating at the image what map system the map at the image File:TelluricCurrentAustralia1991.jpg is based on, for copyright reasons? I presume it is based on a free map like OSM? That way, it can be categorised into a category like Category:OpenStreetMap maps of Australia, for example. Calistemon (talk) 08:07, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

Hi Calistemon, of course I wouldnt mind. The map is directly from Wikimedia Commons, and the yellow lines I drew in myself, basing on a map from a magazine referred to in nl:François Chamalaun. I will state the requested details as soon as I am on my computer (currently I am on mobile). Chescargot (talk) 09:46, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

File:Statue Thomas Sankara 2019 (3).jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not.

Thank you!

This media may be deleted.
Thanks for uploading File:LSI1948-Gevangen2(poets).jpg.

Thank you.

Ha Erik, zowel volgens de bovengegeven link naar Discogs voorwaarden (ihb "You may only contribute content which is in the public domain (i.e., expired copyright or public from inception) or otherwise available through a CC0 “No Rights Reserved” license, or content for which You are the rights holder.") en in deze link (onder "Intellectual Property Rules") lijken deze foto's wel degelijk bruikbaar? Chescargot (talk) 18:37, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
Hi Chescargot, ik had alleen deze pagina gelezen, waar staat "or content for which You are the rights holder" en "We grant You a limited license to access and make personal use of the Service and not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with Our express written consent." Maar de extra link die je geeft schrijft weer: "By uploading images to Discogs you agree that the image meets one of the following requirements: ... You own the rights to the image and agree to make it available via a CC0 "No Rights Reserved" license; or (...) Fair Use."

Template:Autotranslate In addition, I noticed that you've made a malformed deletion request: omitting the subpage, transclusion, year, month, day, and notice to the page creator. Here, Template:T2 is not for speedy deletion, please see COM:DP. When you want to delete a page by manually using the Template:T2 template (rather than the automatic Nominate for deletion or Nominate category for discussion tool in the Tools menu on the sidebar per COM:DR#Starting requests and COM:CFD#Starting requests), you must follow the instructions in the template, including the "Click here to show further instructions" portion (or Commons:Deletion requests/Listing a request manually policy or the "By hand" portion of COM:CFD#Starting requests, normally collapsed), otherwise you will create a lot of work for other people. Warning: such edits are not tolerated and have led to account blocks, as "We cannot work here with people who are not willing to follow our procedures, in particular for deletion requests."   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 12:40, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
