Categorías[edit]

Hola, Zaqarbal: igual tú, que llevas más tiempo subiendo fotos a Commons me puedes decir qué política hay para las categorías. Estoy categorizando todas las fotos que veo sin etiquetar relativas, sobre todo a la arquitectura y arte españoles. No me queda claro un tema. En una categoría que tiene subcategorías, las imágenes más representativas del tema ¿han de ir sólo en la subcategoría, o es aconsejable dejar una pequeña selección además en la categoría principal? De no ser así, el primer vistazo no da una idea general, sino precisamente lo contrario: Sólo las imágenes inclasificables, o que no justifican una categoría propia. En general estoy dejando sólo las categorías más específicas, pero no me resisto a la tentación de poner alguna redundante, para que salga en primera plana, por ser muy significativa del tema tratado, como el caso de la ampliación del Reina Sofía. ¿Es esto incorrecto? Gracias por tus explicaciones, no conocía el project: Architecture. Me parece buena idea la de diferenciar los edificios de museos de sus contenidos, así el que va buscando arquitectura lo tiene más fácil. Además, hay algunos museos cuyo valor arquitectónico no desmerece el contenido artístico que albergan, y eso se debe de resaltar. Hola Zaqarbal, ya he borrado la imagen, en cuanto a lo de las esculturas, me ausenté cuando se estaba tratando el tema y no he podido hacer el seguimiento, pero creo que deberías informarte bien, ya que si las obras son expuestas por el museo es posible que, aun estando en la calle, rijan las normas impuestas por él. Once again, I very much apreciate your addings of info to my pictures. I see that you have changed the name of the park in the info lines to the pictures. The name used in for instance the telephone guide is Parque del Buen Retiro, but the real name as I understand it is Jardines del Buen Retiro (de Madrid). Hello Zaqarbal. I have photos of a curious building in the Retiro park. South of the great basin there is a building with a chimney and sfinxes. It is situated at the Paseo de Venezuela, closest building in the map in this link: [1], hope it will work. However, the building does not seem to be in use. Arte de Hispania, desastre![edit]

Hola, Zarqabal esta vez te escribo para que me eches una mano en la medida de lo que puedas. Un editor lleva meses reorganizando toda la categoría Category:Roman Hispania art como Category:Ancient Roman art in Spain, obviando que de esta manera se pierde el significado de la categoría como arte CREADO en Hispania, y no necesariamente sólo arte SITUADO en España. Esta categorización tampoco tiene en cuenta que Hispania era más o menos casi toda España y Portugal, y no exactamente España. Hemos llegado a un acuerdo y he conseguido que no siga borrando las categorías relacionadas con Roman Hispania art, pero ahora tengo la labor de volver a categorizar en Roman Hispania, y distinguir las piezas que fueron encontradas en Hispania de las colecciones de arte traído de Roma, por ejemplo. Algunas imágenes traen las procedencia, de otras no consigo encontrar el origen de la pieza. Conclusión: que hay un liazo con todo el arte romano español. Algunas imágenes las subiste y categorizaste tú...¿podrías ayudarme si tienes algo de tiempo?--Balbo 10:01, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pues sí, parece que está petado hasta Reyes, cuando vuelva su autor y mantenedor, Bryan (talk · contribs). De todas formas, has probado a usar flickr2commons. La gran ventaja que tiene es que comprueba automáticamente la licencia, así que no hay que hacerlo manualmente ni depender del bot. La desventaja es que aparece como autor el bot de Magnus, que es quien hace la subida. Yo es lo que uso casi siempre, dado que en el fondo no me da igual quien aparezca. Statues in Sabatini Gardens[edit]

I was thinking of using the one of Philip II for an article on Wikipedia, but I want to check the sculptor's name. He is given as Felipe de Castro, but a statue of Alfonso VI with a similar style and inscription font on the base is given as by Felipe de Corral. Both statues are given the date 1750–53. Concerning 'credit line', it's mainly about the mode of acquisition: what collection does it come from? Did it join the collections by gift, purchase, on loan, etc. ? LangSwitch[edit]

Hello Zaqarbal, I have seen that you sometimes use {{langSwitch|en|default=XX}} Actually it is not possible to align several parameters this way in a template (I have done the same error myself). So you must write en=XX|default=XX. By the way, in mst cases, there is no need of a "default" that is the same as English (English is the default by default, except for a some exceptions like some regional languages). Default can be used when the default should be different from English (for example when it seems better to use the original language in other languages to avoid too much language mixing. Hello Zaqarbal, I have removed one instance of nested other date templates. It bugs in French where Roman numbers are used for centuries. I think it can create strange translations in other languages too. I suggest to use "other date|ca" in this case. Hola Zaqarbal, ocmo sé que eres un fotógrafo entusiasta de la ciudad de Madrid te planteo un "problemilla" que he discutido con Chamarasca. Verás, ha escrito un muy buen artículo sobre el atentado de la calle del Correo (véase aquí). Pero, como de costumbre, faltan imágenes para ilustrarlo. ¿No tendrás tú alguna panorámica de la calle del Correo y del local en el que se encontraba la cafetería Rolando (que, si no me equivoco, es el que ahora ocupa el restaurante De María (a pesar de que este se diga que está en el número 2 y la cafetería Rolando estaba en el 4; no me da la impresión, por las imágenes de la época, que lo que ahora es el maestro churrero fuese la cafetería Rolando). Estoy leyendo la biografía de Largo Caballero que ha escrito Aróstegui y menciona que Largo nació en un edificio de la Plaza Vieja de Chamberí, donde luego se construyó la Tenencia de Alcaldía del distrito, "que aún hoy existe". Entiendo que se trata de la junta municipal de la plaza de Chamberí, pero no he encontrado ninguna foto. Estimado Zaqarbal. Como veo que eres usuario experto en esto de las imágenes, me atrevo a pedir tu ayuda. Estoy ampliando el artículo sobre el Partido Republicano Radical Socialista en Wikipedia y me faltan imágenes. He visto que hay bastantes fotografías de políticos (y de otros temas) tomadas de la antigua publicación Mundo Gráfico. Por lo que veo, la revista está disponible en la hemeroteca digital de la Biblioteca Nacional, de donde te puedes descargar las páginas en formato pdf. sin ninguna traba. Todo ello me sugiere que no hay derechos de propiedad intelectual vigentes que pudieran ser violados, pero no acabo de tenerlo del todo claro. Aun suponiendo que se puedan subir las fotografías (ya te digo que ahora hay ya bastantes), mi problema es que nunca he subido ningún archivo a Commons y soy un manazas con estas cuestiones. Probando probando, he visto que se puede hacer una "instantánea" en el archivo pdf. y copiarla al Paint. Supongo que luego bastará con usar el asistente. Retratos militares[edit]

Quería comentarle una cosilla, y aunque hace tiempo que no hablamos, me alegro de saludarle. Venía a plantearle una cuestión:

Últimamente he subido a Commons bastantes retratos de militares y de otros personajes destacados del siglo XIX, y me encantaría poder seguir haciéndolo. En el Museo Naval de Madrid y en el Museo del Ejército hay centenares de retratos de militares de los siglos XVIII y XIX que sería bueno subir a Commons. En la categoría de pinturas del Museo Naval hay ya bastantes retratos, aunque sería bueno subir, si fuera possible, mejores versiones, porque las que hay son pequeñas:

Pero lo verdaderamente lamentable es la sección de pinturas del Museo del Ejército, porque apenas hay una docena de obras:

Placas de cerámica del callejero de Madrid[edit]

Saludos Zaqarbal: Echo de menos buenas captaciones de las placas de cerámica de algunas calles céntricas de Madrid, como Echegaray, Príncipe, Quevedo o Costanilla de los Capuchinos. De ésta última no hay ninguna imagen y de las otras... por diferentes motivos, no me satisfacen (aunque he usado un par de ellas en artículos en los que colaboré). Retratos[edit]

Gracias por su ayuda. Es una lástima que los fondos pictóricos del Museo del Ejército y de la Real Academia de la Historia, por poner un ejemplo, no estén digitalizados. Y la mayoría de los retratos del Museo Naval que aparecen en el Centro Virtual Cervantes, afortunadamente, ya fueron subidos a Commons hace tiempo. Sabiendo cómo me privan las placas ya te imaginarás dónde la voy a cibercementar dentro de unos minutos. ¿Te creerás que no me había enterado de lo del millonario chino? Lo que sí me ha interesado es lo que me cuentas de que aun existe la casa de Goya de la calle del Espejo, y mucho lo de Boccherini. No sé cómo tienes valor para salir a la calle con esta 'escuela de calor'. Llevo unos días con el plan wikipédico-municipal de remozado de la calle del Pez (que lo que no era copy era 'purita poesía beatnik'). Azulejería, Boccherini y demás alegrías[edit]

Tentadoras uhmm, no tenía estas calles en capítulo (salvo la de la Cabeza que subí un archivo abierto pero que creo que permutaré ahora), pero si me las pones tan a tiro (y esa versión al azulejo tan seductora del duque de Fernán Núñez de Goya...) Gracias! ...Cámara compacta ¡qué tiempos aquellos!

Cuando vayas rematando lo de Boccherini, me miro que hay en WP-es y le creamos una sección madrileña, que se la merece un tipo que tuvo la ocurrencia y ventura de escribir el pasacalles 'passa calle o quintettino "Los españoles se divierten por las calles de Madrid", en La Musica Notturna delle strade di Madrid Op. 30 Nº 6, en 1780... No sé si serás melómano -yo no especialmente, pero hay cosas que me gustan-; te dejo [www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH0FJ-xONC8] este enlace que he encontrado en el yutube (con la obra completa ¡e iconografía goyesca!). El 'pasacalles' lo tienes en el minuto 7.49, y luego podrás encontrar muchas versiones específicas de ese pasaje, que aunque no seas melómano, seguro que te suena (además tiene un excelente artículo en WP-es [2]).

Llevo días recopilando material sobre azulejería para abrir una entrada a los ejemplos madrileños de ese tipo de decoración metropolitana. Si te interesa el tema, quedas invitado al nivel que quieras.

Buenos días, y fresquitos. El pez y el mesón de Simón Miguel Paredes ya los encajé ayer. Quedan de lujo. Sobre el tándem Goya-Boccherini creo que podríamos hacer algo específico, pero aún no doy con ello, si conoces referencias o se te ocurre por dónde buscar ya me dirás. Y si no sale documentación para el 'tandem', siempre queda el recurso de componer una entrada sobre 'vecinos ilustrados de Madrid' por ejemplo, que aunque no tenga fuentes como tal epígrafe sí tiene bibliografía a tutiplén, y de eruditos muy fiables (y de todas las ideologías). En fin, aunque colaborar a largo plazo siempre tiene su riesgo, creo que mientras nos apetezca podemos ir reuniendo materiales. En cuanto acabe con la azulejería, abro una página de usuario -si quieres tener tu el honor, adelante, me indicas dónde la tienes y voy añadiendo allí lo que encuentre- que vaya recogiendo el material (imágenes, bibliografía, citas, esquemas de página, etc). Pues gracias por el 'salvoconducto' para las fotos "recién salidas del horno" (lo miro de vez en cuando, si no ando muy liado, y es agradable, es un poco como ir a la huerta a ver qué ha salido). Por cierto, excelente material de Villa Rosa (ahora sí que se ve bien el lujo de azulejería que tiene esa fachada). Y curiosísimo el anuncio de Mahou de 1890. No tengo documentación ni noticia de quién y cómo se hizo. Es una joya. Y tu tésis de que fuera trabajo de la Escuela cuenta con el apoyo de la coincidencia de fechas (y tampoco me suena ningún ceramista de ese periodo con esas siglas -el más cercano sería Enrique Guijo, y no-). Otro sería el caso si fuera firma contemporánea... pero no me consta. Pero bueno, tarde o temprano aparecerá, seguro. ¿Tiene fotos del interior del Palacio Real de Madrid o de su espléndida colección de relojes de sobremesa dieciochescos?
¿Tiene fotos del interior del monasterio del Escorial? De los exteriores del monasterio ya hay muchísimas, pero lo que hacen falta son del interior, y por ejemplo del palacio de los Austrias, del palacio de los Borbones, de la basilica y de su altar mayor, de los cenotafios reales de Pompeo Leoni colocados a ambos lados del altar mayor etc.? Hay dos respuestas rápidas, una -más musical- Here, There & Everywhere (Beatles, álbum Revolver de 1966); y otra más seria pero no más cierta: partiendo del campo de trabajo 'reducido' de Madrid y su entorno (pienso ahora en Alcalá de Henares), y del ya medio conocido del callejero de la villa, y echando mano en la biblioteca pública más cercana de alguna de las varias Gran Enciclopedia Cervantina... algo irá saliendo. También me ofrezco a bucear en Commons (todas estas son actividades/opciones que me gustaría compartir, pero a discreción). Bueno, esto me pasa por hablar antes de mirar. Ya existen estas Category:Azulejos of Don Quixote y Category:Plaques to Miguel de Cervantes, que puede servirnos de punto de partida. Luego he visto referencias fuera del campo de trabajo (es:Glorieta de Cervantes (Sevilla), es:Castillo del Moro, es:Colindres, es:Ubrique, es:Adolfo Prieto y Álvarez de las Vallinas, puf!! Here, There & Everywhere, insisto), para tomarselo con calma. Y luego está eso que le pasa a nuestro cerebro, que un día te llaman la atención sobre un detalle del que practicamente nunca te habías dado cuenta, y a partir de entonces se te aparece en todas partes... Felicidades! :-) Al de la calle Raimundo Fdez Villaverde le he encontrado un lugar de preferencia en es:Alfarería (y espero que con el consenso de las compañeras del Proyecto Alfarería y Cerámica). Y lo de la calle Acacias es una auténtica monografía, qué hallazgo! La página que me indicas, además, nos da una idea de conjunto de lo que hay en Madrid que puede ser muy útil, creo yo. Son unas fotos soberbias (las de Daderot, al igual que las de usted siempre lo son) y le agradezco de veras que se haya acordado. Los relojes de los palacios reales españoles son, naturalmente, los mejores de España (me refiero a los de sobremesa). El rey Carlos IV era muy aficionado a los relojes, y adquirió muchísimos en Francia para España y, como es de suponer, eran de los mejores de su época y de una calidad digna de reyes. La última vez que yo fui a Madrid, y de eso hace ya varios años, dejaban hacer fotos en el interior del Palacio Real aunque sin flash, pero parece ser que ahora ya no dejan.--Tiberioclaudio99 (talk) 09:55, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Se me olvidaba decirle que hace varias semanas subí a Commons algunas fotos de las esculturas romanas del Museo del Prado (ya sabe que la mayoría de la gente pasa olímpicamente de las esculturas del Prado y va a las pinturas sin saber lo que se pierden), pero esas imagenes que subi hay que categorizarlas major y añadirles algunos datos, y yo lamentablemente no tengo libros adecuados para hacerlo.

La mayoría de las esculturas romanas del Prado ya están en Commons (me refiero a las esculturas de 1,5 metros o dos metros de altura), pero seguro que falta alguna por subir. Y sería Bueno subir alguna imagen Buena de la Atenea del Prado, a la que le faltan los brazos:

Gracias por su amabilidad. En Wikipedia y en Commons siempre hay cosas por hacer y falta tiempo. Yo estoy liado subiendo todo lo que puedo del interior de la catedral de Sevilla, que no es moco de pavo. Y ya sabe cómo son las cosas, la mayoría de la gente cuando va por ejemplo a la Mezquita-catedral de Córdoba, y se lo dice uno que nació en esta ciudad, se interesan por los elementos musulmanes del edificio y casi nadie se interesa por las partes cristianas, por poner un ejemplo. Y con las esculturas romanas del Prado pasa lo mismo, la gente se concentra en las pinturas(y no es que no tengan razones para ello), y pasan olímpicamente del resto, ya que el Tesoro del Delfín y otras cosas son desconocidas para el público en general. Quería pedirle un favor. ¿Conoce a alguien en Commons aficionado a la pintura y a los dibujos japoneses y que tenga ganas y tiempo de categorizar algunas obras? Museos madrileños[edit]

Venía a pedirle un favor, aunque por supuesto si tiene tiempo y ganas y sin ningún compromiso. La mayoría de los muesos gordos de Madrid, como el Prado etc, van teniendo ya su galería de imagenes en Commons, que por cierto la del Prado es extraordinaria. Yo mismo, sin ir más lejos, he creado bastantes galerías para bastantes museos, iglesias y palacios de la capital, pero hay dos con los que no me atrevo: el Museo Arqueológico Nacional y el Museo de América.

Si yo conociera aunque fuera medianamente bien las colecciones de esos museos haría yo mismo una galería en Commons para ellos, pero no es ese el caso, y como creo que usted los conoce bastante bien (sobre todo el Museo Arqueológico), pues he pensado que tal vez se animaría.

Ante todo, gracias por su amable respuesta. Ya me figuraba yo que tal vez se animaría. No hay prisa ninguna pero si realmente le apetecce, pues adelante. Pero tenga en cuenta que son museos con unas colecciones amplísimas, así que a menos que desee complicarse mucho la vida cuanto más cortas mejor, aunque eso queda en sus manos. Yo mismo, si conociera medianamente bien esos museos, no le habría pedido semejante favor, pero la verdad es que he preferido dejárselo a usted, porque los conoce a fondo. En cuanto que acabe con el Museo de El Greco de Toledo y con otras cosillas que tengo pendientes arreglaré, si Dios quiere, las pinturas del Museo Arqueológico Nacional y tal vez aproveche para subir alguna. Una consulta[edit]

No sé si usted sabrá algo del tema, pero lo que vengo buscando es a ver si sabe de alguien que pueda saberlo. Ayer se lo comenté a la administradora Cookie, que me dijo que no sabía nada del tema, y hace tiempo también se lo dije a Rastrojo, que tampoco supo darme una respuesta.

La Biblioteca Nacional de España tiene un fichero de autoridades, equivalente a VIAF, LCCN, BNF o SUDOC, y en las páginas de Wikidata se puede usar, y de hecho yo lo uso muchísimo allí para añadir datos. Pero lo gracioso del asunto es que en las páginas de INSTITUTION en Commons no se puede usar ese código, o a lo mejor es que yo todavía no he dado con la fórmula, y eso que he probado de varias maneras. ¿Usted sabe cómo hacerlo? O en caso contrario, ¿Sabe usted de alguien que entienda de estos temas y que pueda hacer que esos códigos de la BNE pudieran ser aprovechados en Commons? Es una lástima que a estas alturas haya dos ficheros franceses que yo conozca que se puedan usar, SUDOC y la BNF, en Commons, y no haya ninguno español, como la BNE o la BNC, la Biblioteca Nacional de Cataluña.

I notice that the The American School of Madrid doesn't seem to have its address on its website, but this document and a few others say it's Calle America 3 Pozuelo de Alarcon 28223 Spain - Somebody put on the Wikipedia article that the outside is mainly a "concrete wall". I am not sure if the school has security considerations or not... but it sounds like it.

I wonder if the way to approach ASM, if you are interested in taking it, is seeing if there is a large sign near the entrance and focusing on the sign. And/or e-mailing the ASM and asking them what pictures they have best represent the campus, and asking if they can relicense it.

Artes Decorativas[edit]

Quería hacerle una consulta. ¿Estaría de acuerdo en que la categoría en Commons de Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas fuera trasladada a Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas de España? Se lo comento porque en Cuba, y más exactamente en La Habana, hay otro museo homónimo que ya tiene artículo en Wikipedia, aunque hasta ahora no he encontrado ninguna foto suya en Commons? Y lo cierto además, aunque por otra parte, es que esos Museos Nacionales de España llevan casi todos detrás de su nombre la palabra España.

Para evitar el uso de paréntesis y de comas, creo que lo major sería Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas de España, y a semejanza del Museo Arqueológico Nacional, por ejemplo. Comprendo su punto de vista. El problema es que el nombre oficial es Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas a secas, al igual, por ejemplo, que el Museo Arqueológico Nacional. Y como se trata de un museo nacional y no local, creo que es preferible lo de España a lo de Madrid, para equipararlo así a ese tipo de museos. Y como las categorías del museo ya llevan todas el título en español de Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas, creo que lo mejor sería añadirle detrás de España o (España) entre paréntesis, a elegir, más que nada porque si las categorías van ya en castellano no veo la necesidad de ponerles solamente lo de Spain en inglés.Tiberioclaudio99 (talk) 15:05, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
