Latvian street names in Commons[edit]

I am seriously working on monuments in Latvia, and finally got to the simple houses with addresses. Unfortunately, Commons category names such buildings and category names of streets and squares were created by different people and, therefore, were not identical (non-standard). We have street/iela mess, English names for squares, etc. I'd like to standardize it, so in the future, when Latvians come here to create new categories for the streets and houses, all the names will be standard.

I have read the rules for naming categories and realized that there is no ban on local names (only for the capital in Latvia is recommended to use the English name and I will use it of course), i.e., we can use local names for the categories of streets and houses. As it do the French, Germans, Austrians, Swedes and many other nations. The use of local names and addresses allows you to write in the usual way for our country. By the way, the experience of Poles, who do not follow this principle, shows that they often put house numbers in different places and common names of the streets trying to translate into English. I raised the issue of Commons categories names in the Latvian Wikipedia and there we agreed that the best option would be for the streets - Kaļķu iela (Kuldīga) and for houses - Kaļķu iela 10a (Kuldīga). We already use this method in Latvian Wikipedia, so names will be identical for Commons and Wikipedia.

So I created a list at User:Voll/1 page with all the categories that I would to rename. You are actively work in the categories so I ask you to comment on my mind - can I rename the streets and houses categories as mentioned or better do it in different way? @Ymblanter: , рад Вас слышать. Категория "Wooden buildings on Kalnciema Street, Riga" создана для памятника культуры, в который, несмотря на название, попали здания на трех улицах. Наверно мне лучше всего дома на улицах Мелнсила и Баложу продублировать и в категории "Wooden buildings in Riga"? --Voll (talk) 20:36, 28 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ну, изначально я так и сделал - отправил их в категорию квартала (на которой стоял шаблон памятника культуры), по улицам и в Wooden buildings in Riga. В принципе, если это официальное название памятника, можно так и оставить, но тогда хорошо бы дать пояснение, что туда включено. Ну, и по улицам в любом случае надо оставить (то есть, тем самым, дома на улице Калнциема попадают в обе - Wooden buildings on Kalnciema Street, Riga и Kalnciema Street, Riga.--Ymblanter (talk) 20:41, 28 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Сдублировал. Там все еще усложнилось тем, что упомянутый Вами квартал - это не памятник культуры, а культурно-коммерческий проект, который включает только несколько домов на улице.
