Hi! I've seen that you have nominated for deletion some files uploaded by this user that were suspicious of breaking the copyright policies of commons. Maye We should take a look for the other files uploaded by this user, like this one o maybe other that not only have blurry license status, but also show copyrihgted logos (for instance, in this one someone would make a derivative file by cropping the logo of the organisation claiming its in public domain When, obviously, the file is not under a free license). My file Felicitació de Nadal.jpg has been deleted

Hello, It's the first time I upload images to wikimedia so maybe I have made something wrong. The thing is that my file Felicitació de Nadal.jpg has been deleted because it is suposed to violate copyright. The picture is mine, made with my samsung mobile and edited with an app (I added words and filters). Is that the problem? I am the unique author of the image, so I would like to know which rights I have violate exactly.

Copyright violation appeals process

Dear Motorpark, Thank you for your response to my {{Help me}} request. I would like to understand then how does one make the proper appeal. I recognize that the information contained in the articles I scanned in from original copies in my archival files were originally published under public domain copyrights. But that information, dating back to the early 1980s does not exist in any electronically available archive, and it is a germane piece of information for a number of Wiki articles that I am currently editing or preparing to edit. Kindly explain how we bring such materials into a public domain then? Do I have to set up a blog or web page and then link to it? Would it not be easier to just note all the relevant information about where the information was originally sourced within Wikimedia Commons and keep it there?

If there is no solution, then I will simply delete the footnote from relevant places where it was to be used, or won't use it. But it seems there should be some form of common sense used here -- I am the subject of the news stories, exclusively in all three cases. I am attributing the article in footnotes to the original author and publisher with date and access date annotations. And the scans of original print are my own work.

Kindly inform me as to whether I have grounds for appeal on the basis if the above.

I carefully read your letter along with other letter from other Wikimedia Instructor and administrator I received before telling me that you delete my work because it has a copy right violation.

Kindly if you please check the last ten items (for example) I upload to Wikimedia Commons you will find that they are an artwork painting I entirely and pure draw by my self and I upload by my self so they are obviously an (entirely my own work as I read in the upload page software).

I just received your notifications and re-flagging my photos/licensing I just made an attempt to address. I am unclear as to why I am in a seemingly circular fight with folks on this website over the photos. Initially, yes, I uploaded them without information to copyright because I did not know which licenses to attach (this is my first time editing on Wikipedia so please tread lightly), saw the notifications and went to address the issues and clear the warnings accordingly.

If my updates are not sufficient, can you (because no one has to this point) taken even one second to inform me what I am doing incorrectly here. I actually work for the organization the photos are in reference to and to whom they all belong to. We WANT to put these images in the public domain for use on this Wikipedia page being constructed and have the rights to so with the as we wish, so why are we not being allowed to use them here? If this is simply an issue of citing the correct usage, we own the photos, have the right to issue/use them as we see fit and desire me to be included on the article being constructed.... So can you please share with me what my options are exactly so I don't have to keep having these circular conversations please?

I understand the flagging and all the documentation but to be honest it gets a bit confusing and overwhelming when someone comes and drops all these things on your work and says fix it now or it's gone and doomed forever. Bottom line: I have a desire to understand and do this correctly going forward, have the control to issue these images under whatever license is most appropriate and want them included on the article, tell me what I need to do please.

Tiene derechos sobre ella, puesto que se trata de una imagen de su propiedad, no me parece bien que se pueda borrar una imagen porque sí, sin dar opción y destrozar el trabajo de otra persona y los deseos de la persona que cede su imagen para wikipedia.

Te ruego restablezcas la imagen, no hablo correctamente inglés, hablo en español y para mí es mucho mas difícil entender todo esto. O dame una solución que pueda hacer para que haya una imagen en el perfil de Aneudy. Muchas gracias y Saludos!

Why have you deleted a logo that I have drawn myself saying that I am not the owner? If you have doubts you could have raised a deletion request in order to ASK me. This logo took me a good 3 hours to draw using an original copy of Adobe Illustrator, paid and registered. So I would like to know why do YOU feel with the right to delete MY drawing? More importantly, Why do you delete it ? Why didn't you just requested a deletion? I noticed that the deletion from the page of the club says the file was deleted because the copyright on the club's web page. That is the copyright of the web page, which belong to us the club. The club's logo was designed in 1938 by a -now dead- member. The image in the website is a scan of the original drawing. The one you deleted took me 3 hours in my wife's Adobe Illustrator because there was not a modern version. I then exported to PNG and loaded into my -licensed- Fireworks MX for resampling. Hello, Motopark! I am contacting you in regards to the removal of my upload of the cover to Kimberly Cole's EP The Prelude. I contacted the photographer, who holds the image rights, and he agreed to release it under Creative Commons 3.0. I have forwarded this correspondence to OTRS staff and am awaiting a response. Is there anything else I can do in the meantime? While I understand the concern over users uploading covers without proper licensing, that is not the case at hand. I think that page was intended to be a user page (and wasn't unduly promotional), and if you're agreeable will assist them recreate it as one. Could I also ask you, please, to consider whether such templates are suitable for good-faith content contributors?
