The picture of youngest Grandmaster in US history

Hello dear user. Just a few days ago young chess player Samuel Sevian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_Sevian) became chess Grandmaster at age of 13. Soon he will be awarded that position by FIDE officialy. This is a recored in USA history. As you see, we already have an article about him. But no pic yet. There are some of his pictures in Google (https://www.google.am/search?q=samuel+sevian%2Bgrandmaster&biw=1152&bih=739&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=nQJ2VPyVIobmavCxgaAI&ved=0CCMQsAQ), but i dont know can we upload and use it in wiki or no. Can you help us to solve this problem and provide a picture for wikipedia article.? Thanks in advance. 46.70.116.140 16:54, 26 November 2014 (UTC)

It looks like we cannot currently use any of those images, as they don't comply with our licensing requirements.
However, if you are willing to contact any of the parties which own the photograph, you may be able to convince them to release their content as free. See Commons:Email templates and w:Wikipedia:Example requests for permission for guidelines on how to go about this. You should not even bother with commercial agencies like Getty Images or 9news.com.au, and they will certainly not agree. Keep in mind that the sites may not have the rights to the photographs; they may be using it with permission from the photographer. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 23:35, 26 November 2014 (UTC)

Living people/People by name

Hello, Magog. Please take a look at the most recent edits on Category:Living people to see that it has been changed into a category redirect. Is this correct? - Hoops gza (talk) 23:36, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

@Hoops gza: - how is 4 years ago "recent"? Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 22:52, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

Template "User at project"

Hi! From where are those project languages coming to {{User at project}}? I'm asking this, since Finnish texts are not grammatically correct. Currently the Finnish text for {{user at project|Example|w|en}} is:

  • "Example projektissa englanti Wikipedia" (meaning england Wikipedia), when it should be:
  • "Example projektissa englanninkielinen Wikipedia" (meaning English language Wikipedia)

If they are coming from interface messages or so then it's hard to fix. --Stryn (talk) 15:53, 21 November 2014 (UTC)

@Stryn:: The language name comes from {{Language}}, which itself probably comes from a Mediawiki function. {{Language|en|fi}} reads englanti. I don't understand much beyond this, unfortunately. But the people at w:WP:VPT always do; you might ask them for assistance in correcting a faulty translation. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 23:12, 21 November 2014 (UTC) Google translates this as English, whereas englanninkielinen translates this as English-speaking. This distinction is not necessary in English, but one user once complained to me about the same problem for German (link). Leyo, could you confirm if there was ever a workaround for this or not? If not, we might have to come up with one by creating a {{Language speaker}} template. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 23:17, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
  • I think that this was discussed with regard to Swedish at some point. The problem in Swedish is that {{Language}} returns the language form whereas the indefinite adjective form is expected. For example, {{Language}} might return "engelska" (en), "interlingua" (ia) or "latin" (la), which should be converted to "engelskspråkiga" (drop the last "a"), "interlinguaspråkiga" (do nothing) or "latinskspråkiga" (add "sk"), respectively. In Finnish, {{Language}} seems to return the nominative form, whereas Stryn seems to want genitive.
In Swedish, the current system is acceptable for some languages (for example English) but unacceptable for other languages (for example Interlingua and Latin). --Stefan4 (talk) 02:54, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
Yes, there is a workaround for (at least) German. The German text reads as follows:
Example in der Wikipedia auf Englisch
I have never been a fan of Template:User at project, i.e. I have always preferred [[:de:User:Example|Example]]. --Leyo 16:37, 1 December 2014 (UTC)

Categorized file marked as uncategorized

User:OgreBot 2 marked File:Medonosy Osinaličky, usedlost čp.6.jpg as uncategorized although ot was properly categorized in Category:Cultural monuments in Medonosy. --ŠJů (talk) 05:26, 2 December 2014 (UTC)

Something went wrong. If it happens again, I'll have to turn that functionality off. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 02:41, 4 December 2014 (UTC)

Media needing categories...?

Hi Magog. Please, have a look at my last uploads. Special:Contributions/Pequod76. Your bot marked 5 images that I uploaded on 30 November as uncategorized. But they ARE categorized... So what? Can you help? An example is media:Ethiopian coffee served in Stone Town, Zanzibar.JPG. Thank you! --pequod ..Ħƕ 03:35, 6 December 2014 (UTC)

Those files got also the Category:Images from Wiki Loves Africa without categories, but I cannot understand why. Any clue? Thank you again. --pequod ..Ħƕ 03:38, 6 December 2014 (UTC)

@Pequod76: I've disabled the uncat feature of OgreBot, because it appears to be malfunctioning (see above thread). As for the without categories category, that was part of the image when you uploaded it. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 15:47, 6 December 2014 (UTC)

Drdoht

Could you please help fix Drdoht's category creations? I've already fixed everything from his start up through the end of 2013. - Hoops gza (talk) 23:11, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

I see you haven't even bothered to respond. - Hoops gza (talk) 04:37, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

@Hoops gza: oops, sorry, I made a mistake. Could you consider asking at COM:VP? I'm not very good with category issues. Thanks. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 16:08, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

Hi Magog the Ogre. Could you please have a look at this edit I made using your TL script? There is a problem with #. --Leyo 16:27, 1 December 2014 (UTC)

@Leyo: could you please tell me which browser you're using and which language your browser is set to? I double checked the headers, and it's clearly transmitting:
Content-Type:text/html; charset=utf-8.
@Stefan2: could you please tell me if you're also having a problem on this page? Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 03:02, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
Now it is Firefox 34.0 in German with Unicode selected. However, Firefox was updated automatically yesterday (after this edit). Is the browser also crucial for the TL version of your script? --Leyo 09:34, 2 December 2014 (UTC) PS. I tried to search for a typical pattern potentially caused by other similar edits, but I failed.
@Leyo: - according to this post, the character encoding is supposed to emulate the sending page, which is clearly marked as utf-8, so I do not know why you are experiencing that problem, unless perhaps you've chosen to override the default page encoding.
Instead, could you please add the following to your vector.js: addCleanupFunction("fast_cleanup", fast_cleanup, "fast cleanup TS (experimental)");? This will use the "fast" cleanup, which is a little faster. The UI isn't the prettiest thing, but it I've tested it extensively and the functionality is good. It should fix your problem. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 04:57, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
Can I change the code to addCleanupFunction("fast_cleanup", fast_cleanup, "fast cleanup TL (exp.)"); (TS → TL; shorter)? --Leyo 08:53, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
@Leyo: You can call it whatever you want. Only the first two parameters matter. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 02:40, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
Done, but I get the following error message: “ReferenceError: addCleanupFunction is not defined”. --Leyo 09:45, 4 December 2014 (UTC)

┌────────────────┘
@Leyo: add this instead:

mw.hook('gadget.magog.cleanup').add(function() {
    addCleanupFunction("fast_cleanup", fast_cleanup, "fast cleanup TS (experimental)");
});

Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 16:08, 6 December 2014 (UTC)

Done. It works in principle, meaning that I have not found a case yet, where it actually makes any change. It always says “No updates.”.
The other thing is that in the toolbox, it now looks as follows:
  • cleanup JS
  •
  • cleanup TS
  • fast cleanup TL (exp.)
There is one empty bullet point. --Leyo 00:05, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
@Leyo: please clear your cache and try again. Neither of the above problems appears for me in either Firefox or Chrome when I try it. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 00:17, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
I did it again, but there is no change. BTW: I found this edit that is similar to the one reported in the title. --Leyo 00:34, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
Sorry, but  Works for me. Please check your other scripts for issues. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 00:42, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
No idea what could cause the problem. At least, I do not get any JS errors and the new script obviously does something (just not any changes to the source text). --Leyo 00:56, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
Which skin are you using? Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 01:10, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
Monobook. I've done some more testing. The new cleanup does in fact work in some cases, but not in e.g. File:Miss Elsie Tydings, who had the distinction of purchasing the first ticket 3b44780u.tif (that uses {{Photograph}}), whereas the old version does.
The appearance is not correct when using the Vector skin either. However, since there are no bullet points, it's not clearly visible. The line spacing between “cleanup JS” and “cleanup TS” is only slightly greater than in the other cases. --Leyo 01:26, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
@Leyo: OK, I fixed the issue with the bad entry.[1] But the script didn't update your .tif file because there were no updates. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 01:36, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
The empty bullet point has disappeared. Thank you.
The old cleanup version adds two empty lines and (after having removed the square brackets) also changed the date format. The new version does not do any of those changes. --Leyo 01:48, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
That is intentional. The TS version is as conservative as possible because 99% of the edits are not human-reviewed. The JS version has someone's eyes to make sure it didn't make a mistake. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 02:25, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
OK. --Leyo 14:07, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

Hi, can you please opt-out the Category:Knights in art? Thank you. --Nordlicht8 (talk) 20:58, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

2012 Nebraska US Senate election

Thanks for the caption on the map at the article on the 2012 US Senate election in Nebraska. The coloring of the map is nicer than the one it replaced; unfortunately, I had to revert your first addition, since it didn't explain the colors.

Could I ask you for a few additional tweaks? First, you've got colors "Fischer >=50%" and "Kerrey >=50%". If the two had happened to split a county evenly, which color would it have been? I'd suggest pulling the "=" on those two, at least.

I'd have done this myself (and probably the other ='s as well) had I been able to check the source data. Which brings us to my next request: could you add a citation to the SVG file, and to the article itself, in which you give the source of the numbers?

Thanks for your work on this, and I hope you don't mind my asking even more of you— Ammodramus (talk) 13:49, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

@Ammodramus: I've provided the data source on the file page; if you'd like, you can add the same source to the article itself. Personally I don't find that necessary, as the other sources in the article will reveal the same data. Also, neither candidate got exactly 50% of the vote in a county. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 22:55, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
Thanks! I see that the source uses ">" rather than ">=" or "≥", so I'll change the description accordingly. I think we should have a citation attached to the map in the article, so that readers can verify the numbers and make their own judgements about the quality of the source. I'll insert that as well. — Ammodramus (talk) 23:29, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
@Ammodramus: Yeah I spend so much of my time programming anymore that >= looks like ≥ to me. I forget other people don't see that. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 02:32, 12 December 2014 (UTC)

I am confused about this edit. The argument in the {{Unknown}} template is used by most slavic languages. --Jarekt (talk) 15:19, 21 December 2014 (UTC)

@Jarekt: According to Template:Unknown, the author parameter is necessary for some languages to distinguish between the type of unknown. Particularly, I remember some Slavic languages sound funny if you try to say the generic word unknown when referring to a person but without the correct grammatical case. Did I misunderstand something? Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 17:37, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
File:WA-PSH blank.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Hi, the version of the image you have removed from the file history is the one released as CC-BY and originally photographed by the Wellcome. Unless there is reason to believe the release is problematic, then there appears no copyright based reason not to have both the framed and unframed versions of the painting on Commons, preferably as separate image pages to aid reusers. Thanks -- (talk) 23:09, 10 January 2015 (UTC)

@: in that case you may want to consider adding full license information to your uploads. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 23:21, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
The license for the image I uploaded was correct. Obviously it can be weakened to PD for the uncropped derivative which I am not responsible for. I believe the derivative would be better as a new file on Commons as already stated. -- (talk) 23:29, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
Done. I'm glad you enjoy the frame, but you might consider uploading a version without the frame (as most of us prefer it this way), and adding the {{2-D in PD}} template. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 01:06, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
I'll consider if there is a way of automating it for the several thousand oil paintings with frames I have uploaded. I did start investigating semi-automated border testing in 2014, but it was not encouraging.
Should you notice other derived works being created from Wellcome Image uploads, consider the value of avoiding overwriting or deleting the originals as released by the Wellcome. There are may well be another tranche this year, and I would like to avoid the complexity these sorts of changes introduce for duplicate testing, along with the obvious lost value of having the full original research quality image removed from public view. Thanks -- (talk) 13:12, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
@: You still might consider adding this information into the permissions field and adding the 2-D in PD template. It's very easy to miss the subtleties, and I wouldn't be surprised to see other admins make that mistake. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 22:31, 12 January 2015 (UTC)

#PRISM Semi Truck

Hola, Magog the Ogre.

Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 23:15, 31 December 2014 (UTC)
Quiero puntualizar este ensayo: Commons:When to use the PD-signature tag#US law.
Véte este ensayo: COM:CB#Drawings based on photographs.
Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 00:43, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 01:38, 1 January 2015 (UTC)

Hola, Magog.
Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 01:38, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
¡Que mal con lo de Twitter! . --C.Jonel (talk) 01:55, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
He pedido para ti aquí: w:Wikipedia:Graphics Lab/Illustration workshop#Abstract lettering from album cover, upload textlogo to Commons.
--C.Jonel (talk) 02:18, 14 January 2015 (UTC)

Please help!

Hi, Magog the Ogre,
I was rather shocked to see my talk page on Commons full of baleful warnings. Would you kindly help me sort the problems out? I'm afraid I still don't understand the correct licence procedure, which leads to all that red splashed all over the page (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Robert_Ferrieux). It's rather frightening… All best, Robert, --RF sesquipedalia verba (talk) 23:45, 20 January 2015 (UTC)

@Robert Ferrieux: hello, Robert. Those messages are a few years old, and have a few different reasons behind them. What specifically are you wondering about? Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 22:13, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
Hello. Practically all the images I upload come from internet or from my own scans. Their authors have been dead for over 70 years. I usually click on "Faithful reproduction of, etc.}". For instance, please see this: [4].
Why hasn't it been correctly licensed? What should have I done? Many thanks for your help. --RF sesquipedalia verba (talk) 23:54, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
@Robert Ferrieux: you don't have any messages on your page about that file. The messages are about other ones. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 01:20, 26 January 2015 (UTC)

Problem with the Ogrebot for new users

Greetings! I love using the User:OgreBot/Uploads by new users pages... recently however, the size of image and camera/or lack thereof have vanished from the reports. Is there any way to get that back? Size in particular is very helpful to tell if the image is likely copied from somewhere else. Thank you! Ellin Beltz (talk) 18:06, 24 January 2015 (UTC)

@Ellin Beltz, EugeneZelenko: I believed this is fixed.[5] Not sure if this was a bug I introduced or if Mediawiki changed something. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 20:10, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
Thank you!!! Ellin Beltz (talk) 21:51, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

Non-Admin DR Closures are Allowed

Any editor in good standing can close a DR request provided they can execute the result. see here It was an uncontested Keep, only your slightly ridiculous nomination wanted them deleted. I suggest you read the policies before blaming people. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 04:18, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

My "ridiculous nomination" in which you didn't even bother addressing my point when closing? And which Stefan was clearly in agreement with me? Are you really that dull or are you just ignoring the facts when they don't fit your agenda? Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 17:58, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
Now now, no need to get angry. Just telling you that non-admin closures are completely ok, and that is not a rationale for reverting people's edits. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 03:18, 26 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi Magog, you left a message on my talk page about the licensing of the pictures. I thought i had already provided the links to the PDB's copyright, what other links are necessary? Cheers, --Ghilt (talk) 15:24, 1 February 2015 (UTC)

@Ghilt: the file requires a valid copyright tag like this.[6] Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 17:45, 1 February 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the hint, the license was added, cheers, --Ghilt (talk) 22:42, 1 February 2015 (UTC)

OgreBot 2 emergency stop

On File:255-CC-65-HC-223, back.jpg this bot without talk page removed a valid {{Original upload date}}. General problem (not this minor technical nit) reported on AN/B. –Be..anyone (talk) 07:51, 5 February 2015 (UTC)

@Be..anyone: actually the bot correctly noted that it is an old document (1964) and that the original upload date was not relevant. FYI I'm going to add this to a FAQ soon because the issue comes up from time to time. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 23:27, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
Actually it's already question #3 on User:OgreBot 2. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 23:32, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
{{Original upload date}} does what the name says, there's no reason to remove it on a version extracted from the original, the info (= roughly the scan date in this case) isn't directly visible otherwise, folks would have to go to the original to find it. And if the bot decided that 1964 is better, why didn't it add this year instead of removing the scan date, with only an empty date row left? Any info at all in {{Information}}, if it's not redundant or plain wrong, can help (humans) to figure out what the image is about. –Be..anyone (talk) 23:48, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
, I didn't visit the user page of the bot, after its protected talk page sent me here. –Be..anyone (talk) 23:50, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
The bot doesn't know the year. It knows only that it's a USGov document, and that the upload date on Wikipedia is thus not useful. If it is useful, then it could be included in the original upload log, which would have (more helpfully) the original uploader. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 00:04, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
The original scan apparently arrived here directly, no transwiki upload. I'd be curious if "commonshelper" could create upload logs also for commons uploads, but I couldn't add this to my two crops, they are new, no transwiki involved. 1964 added on all (5) affected files. –Be..anyone (talk) 00:25, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
It is a common mistake among uploaders to append the date of the upload instead of the date of the work. Even though this was a long-term user, I think that I'd still have to call this a mistake on his part. The upload date is immediately below, so providing it on such an upload gives no information. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 01:04, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
The scan workshop was over three days, some Wikipedia+NARA project, so I guess its date could be relevant in addition to 1964). Admittedly I didn't try to check if scan and upload was on the same day. 2012 is good enough, and the scan project pages still exist ;-) –Be..anyone (talk) 03:43, 6 February 2015 (UTC)

Super Bowl XLIX halftime show

Hola, Magog. --C.Jonel [contact me] 23:43, 5 February 2015 (UTC)

Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 00:00, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
Tranquilo, no hay ningún problema. Cualquier cosa me avisa. Saludos. --C.Jonel [contact me] 00:05, 6 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi Magog. Do you have an explanation for the removal of the license template? --Leyo 01:17, 7 February 2015 (UTC)

@Leyo: yes. Neither I nor my bot knew that content inside <pre> tags is unparsed. I will have to work on that; thanks for the note. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 01:28, 7 February 2015 (UTC)

Deletion of Armorial Flag of Adelaide

I added a copy of the Armorial Flag of Adelaide to Wikipedia and the page and section List of Australian flags#Cities and areas. The website that I found this image on stated that it could be used freely as long as he author and the website were references, which they were. Is there any way that this version of the flag that I have uploaded can be kept and not be deleted? Or do I have to create my own and upload it? (which would be a bit hard as I have little to no artistic skills or appropriate computer software) P.S. I have also uploaded this entry to the Commons:Help desk for further help as I'm a bit unsure with what to do. Nick Mitchell 98 (talk) 00:37, 8 February 2015 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) You can link to Wikipedia pages by adding an "languagecode:" before them - in this case, the link you wanted was en:List of Australian flags#Cities and areas. The image in question is File:Armorial Flag of Adelaide.gif. As for the substance, the problem appears to be one of copyright and licensing - so simply creating a copy of your own would not solve the problem, as such a creation would be a derivitive work. – Philosopher Let us reason together. 01:57, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
@Nick Mitchell 98: as you'll note in the description of the deletion, the non-commercial restriction on the usage means it violates the licensing requirement for Wikimedia projects. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 02:04, 8 February 2015 (UTC)

What kind of information is to be in this image? I thought any image taken from Library of Congress site is under Public Domain. - Rahat (Talk * Contributions) 18:13, 11 February 2015 (UTC)

The tag clearly states that an image is not in the public domain just because it comes from the LOC. And the tag you've chosen is vague to the point of useless in this case. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 22:27, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
The image always appears "Courtesy Siria Lopez" (e.g., [7]). This probably indicates it was taken by a third party and licensed. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 22:43, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
Delete it then. - Rahat (Talk * Contributions) 05:51, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

Swakopmund photo

Hi,

Could you specify what exactly is needed? E.g.:

Photograph by Paavo Korhonen. Used by permission of the Korhonen estate, as granted by his daughter Kaarina Toivola.

Yours sincerely, Panu Hallamaa (talk) 18:02, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

@Panu Hallamaa: We will need two things:
  1. An explicit license.
  2. A written statement from the copyright holder that they are releasing it under that license.
You can see templates at Commons:Email templates (English) and Commons:Kirjepohjat (Finnish). If the copyright holder isn't good with computers, you can print out the document and scan it for us instead of having her email the permission. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 18:38, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi,

I noticed today that last year you blocked this user several times for disruptive editing and edit warring, latest time indef, but then unblocked after "user has promised to stop edit warring".

Since they initiated an edit war on Commons talk:Freedom of panorama today, so that the page had to be full protected for a while, and also immediately (!) opened numerous RfD's (some of which are unjustified) against the user they editwarred against (so, clear case of "revenge DR"), I have now indef'ed them again, as I suppose that it is very similar behaviour to that for which they were formerly indef'ed by you.

Now that I don't know what was the exact problem back then, I decided to let you know. If you think that it's not the same behaviour pattern, and/or there is hope for constructive contribution, feel free to modify the block the way you like. (As I see, they already asked for {{Unblock}}.) --A.Savin 19:14, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

Thanks. --A.Savin 20:00, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

You changed the license tag on this file from {{PD-scan}} to {{PD-art}} and I don't understand why. I thought {{PD-art}} was meant to be used only for photographs taken from a distance, see Commons:When to use the PD-Art tag. WεFt (talk) 10:04, 16 February 2015 (UTC)

New users

Hi Magog, you operate a bot that lists uploads by supposedly new users. Unfortunately, your bot request did not specify which criteria your bot uses to consider a user as being new. I wonder which criterias are used as the uploads by Rax are listed by your bot despite Rax being around here since nearly 10 years. Regards, AFBorchert (talk) 12:16, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
