Commons talk:Photo challenge/2015 - January - Outliers[edit]

Hello Madelgarius,
Llann Wé² is trying to define the theme Outliers a bit better and selected a few images, where he coudn't understand the theme interpretation. Could you help us understand how your pictures Mumbai Elephanta Seagulls.JPG and Techfeast 2014 Mumbai.JPG illustrate the topic by explaining your reasoning here? (in English if possible, but French is also okay)

Bonjour,
J'ai vu la discussion concernant cette image. Les règles de Commons, un peu trop strictes à mon goût, demandent que l'on connaissent qui est l'auteur et où la photo a-t-elle été publiée la première fois. Autant on peut raisonnablement argumenter que l'auteur est anonyme, mais il est possible qu'elle n'a jamais été publié à l'époque. Il serait aussi possible d'obtenir plus d'infos de la part des Ghetto Fighters’ House Archives, où plusieurs photos sont disponibles : [1], [2]. J'espère que ça peut aider. We do not have an information about the photographer or who owns the copyrights.
The photograph was received here at 1966 so I assume that also the person who donated it is no longer alive.

Merci Yann en tout cas pour cette démarche. Puis après tout la réponse n'est pas incompatible avec le fait que les photographies relatives à Youra Livchitz: 1° ont été publiées pour la première fois aux environs de 1944 2° que les auteurs de ces photographies sont inconnus 3° Qu'en toute hypothèse (honnêtement soutenue et jusqu'à meilleur informé) elles sont désormais du domaine public... Mais bon, d'aucuns souhaiteraient que qu'un délais de 170 ans (qui n'est pas de ce monde) soit appliqué après le décès (70 ans pour le principal intéressé + cent ans pour s'assurer vraiment que l'auteur de la photo est décédé...) Un peu heurtant de mon point de vue mais ils ont probablement le sentiment de contribuer à l'amélioration des choses en retranchant (mais bon, je ne suis pas leur thérapeute). --Madelgarius (talk) 16:22, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
