Goodies, tips, and tricks

Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.

Please use SVG

Thank you for uploading some images! Did you know that Wikimedia Commons recommends the SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) format for certain types of images? Scalable Vector Graphics are designed to look appropriate at any scale, and SVG images are easier to modify and translate, helping Wikimedia to distribute knowledge to all of the world. A lot of modern programs support SVG export. If you encountered problems or have questions, don't hesitate to ask me, a member of the Graphic Lab, or the Graphics village pump. Uploading images in SVG format isn't mandatory, but it would help. (To avoid any misunderstandings, please don't just put raster images into an SVG container as embedded raster.) You are right. It is probably a copyright violation. I should have read the copyright policy more in detail. However, I have a question: the Wikipedia article on visual studio also has a screenshot of visual studio code editing. Isn't it also a copyright violation? Hi. Wikipedia is another website. I happen to be a member of Wikipedia too. It has its own rules regarding what can be uploaded and how. Try searching WP:NFCC in Wikipedia, you'll find out.

As for File:Google Chrome Screenshot.png, it is a copyright violation. It has been nominated for deletion three times. But the admins here are not very bright. (However, there is also another theory about that image: The theory says it is actually a screenshot Chromium, that is showing the Google Chrome article and a wrong name too. I don't believe this theory is right, but I can't conclusively disprove it.)

Not compromised[edit]

Dude, my account isn't compromised. I am ticked about the way that I was treated at JJMC89 and Ammarpad's rfas so i've been angry over the last week on Wikipedia. I was bored so i thought I'd share cool stuff with you and Cyberpower (who i see around) to maybe lighten my mood up. I have asperberger's and I don't know how to communicate with others well. I was trying to make your day more interesting. You ignored me agreeing with Gerda ardent in November about how valuable you are to this site and you've never thanked me for any edit ever. BTW, I do think that bad usernames should be reported before they edit if the username is blatant enough, you told me in July that was wrong but sometimes IAR says otherwise.
