Hello JuTa, it seems that your latest changes or uploads of the file(s) Amerigo Vespucci in Lisbon Harbor 01.jpg broke a template. This assumption has been made because the file(s) appeared in the maintenance Category:Pages with malformed coordinate tags. To fix this issue please check this category for further information. If the file(s) is/are not contained in the maintenance category anymore someone else already did the work and you can ignore this message. Thank you for your cooperation. --ArndBot (talk) 19:39, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

Files with no permission

Hello JuTa, I uploaded a bunch of photos from Flickr (by Portuguese painters) and most of them are protected by copywright. The ones I am sure should be deleted are in Category:Files uploaded by User:JotaCartas (delete). Others that I am reviewing are in Category:Files uploaded by User:JotaCartas (review) that I will move to the previous category after reviewing. Is it possible to delete everything at once, before they are used in any wikipedia? --JotaCartas (talk) 02:55, 23 October 2020 (UTC)

Put a speedy DR onto the description pages i.e. with Visual File Exchange. regards --JuTa 02:59, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
Hellow again, thank you. I am not very familiar with using VisualFileChange.js, but i think I managed to ask for deletion of 90 files. Also I think I have to wait for these to be deleted, to ask for another 90. Maybe you have a quiker way to do it to the other (719), if not I will wait and do the rest. regards --JotaCartas (talk) 03:52, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
Hi, I now deleted most of them, and left only 2 untouched which you didnt uüploaded yourself. regards. --JuTa 07:17, 23 October 2020 (UTC)

Date: 1879
Source: {{Self scanned}}
Author: {{Unknown author}}
License: {{PD-old-assumed}}
{{PD-old}} ändern.

{{Cc-by-sa-4.0}}.
--JuTa 16:47, 24 October 2020 (UTC)

Help for deletion

Good morning JuTa, I request your help in deleting some images of historical timeline. Both images have no sources or references, and they can't have it because they were invented by me, derived from my original work without permission. Regular deletion request started from may 2020. What else should I do?

Thank you --1000mil (talk) 09:19, 24 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi, I deleted them now. --JuTa 10:27, 24 October 2020 (UTC)

File was taken from www.ZagrebJeNas.hr where all material was noted under permissive CC license. Thank you!2020W (talk) 11:22, 25 October 2020 (UTC)

✓ Done and marked for review. --JuTa 12:01, 25 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi JuTa, IMHO the baroque altar painting from ca the 17th century is obviously PD-old, and is clearly declared in the description. I removed the template you added. --ŠJů (talk) 20:19, 26 October 2020 (UTC)

... and you fixed the description page, thx. --JuTa 00:11, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

Is deletion your hobby !!

You have deleted three videos including [[File:Theyyam, the dancing god.webm ]] without informing me, the original uploader. All those videos were taken and uploaded by me using my paid data and time. It is very bad doing this without considering other's feeling. Deletions

I am another one who is not familiar with copy rights. I've been on Wikipedia for many years to know what I can upload and what not in Commons. Asking to "prove the free authorship of the image" has the same value as asking "that I am not the author." There are many photo files in my private collections so I have added PD-self template. Thanks for your attention and mostb kind of understanding. These are images that don't even appear on Google! JUST SEARCH! I beg you, please, remove the templates.--Gilwellian (talk) 17:02, 18 October 2020 (UTC)

Yes, your athorship is doubted for those historical images. Its hard to believe that you took yourself the original photos i.e. in 1962. If thats indeet the case you might confirm this through Commons:OTRS. regards --JuTa 17:21, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
I just added templates, I can't do more. I'm not familiar with Commons, sorry. --Gilwellian (talk) 17:36, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
When you use the {{PD-old}} license the original photographer needs to be dead since more than 70 years (before 1950). In this case we need the name and lifespan of the original photographer. regards --JuTa 17:39, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
Man, this is crazy. No problem. I'm doing an inderdible work on WIkipedia for +15 years. I'm too busy for this kind of investigation work by other side. I am so sorry for the articles on Wikipedia so delete all if needed. A Scout in trustworthy, this is the only thing I can say. Stay safe and good luck!--Gilwellian (talk) 17:45, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
Seriously? So you limit your work to add a template but all the dirty work, that by the other side I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH, is mine? What if you HELP instead of threatening of deletion?--Gilwellian (talk) 18:40, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for your help (irony mode ON). Everything deleted even my OWN pictures. LOL --Gilwellian (talk) 11:29, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
The problem was, you declared evrything your own work. That makes it very hard to find out where it could be true and where not. --JuTa 13:36, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

balochi women

hi , regarding the balochi women file i have to say that i've mentioned where i took this picture and who is it from .

Than thats simply a copyright violation. --JuTa 09:31, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi, you have recently redirected this file to File:Official portrait of Lord Robathan, 2019.jpg, which made me doubt the naming logic of the batch upload project. The batch upload gets its year from the photo EXIF data, and this seems correct in this case, which would make the target filename misleading.

The EXIF states the photo was 'last modified' at 16:28, 13 February 2020. So far we have been accepting these as creation dates. The uncropped image has a date of 16:16, 10 February 2020. It could be that the uploader of the "2019" named file was going by the date of the member entry on the website, rather than the photograph itself. For background, refer to User:Fæ/Project list/United Kingdom Parliamentary photographs. Thanks -- (talk) 19:39, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

The file was binary identical to the 2019 one. For me its looked like they just used some last years images again for this year. --JuTa 19:43, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
PS: The older file was just uploaded in Sep. 2020 by User:Tomasz-Asiana-Ostrowski-2004. Perhaps you ask him why he named it ...2019... --JuTa 19:45, 29 October 2020 (UTC)link fixed --JuTa 19:53, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
Except, there's no evidence that this is what the difference is. The target has an EXIF date of 2020. The original had an EXIF date of 2020. The 2019 in the title appears based on nothing verifiable. You may want to pause and check.
Please stop the redirects. This is conflicting with the existing body of thousands of files which are named harmoniously, in accordance with COM:FR we avoid breaking this type of planned naming structure. -- (talk) 19:47, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
Feel free to rename the files. I'm just working on Duplicates. About 10 of those are still missing... --JuTa 19:50, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
PS: I dont rename files. I am working on duplicates and keep the older copies. --JuTa 19:51, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
My concern is the batch upload. You know the scale of these projects, if the structure gets broken by individual administrators, including giving files misleading filenames, it is not practical to invest time investigating and changing work by others. If I did I would do nothing else but spend my volunteer time doing individual file housekeeping on the current body of uploads and never start another upload project. Please stop the redirects if there is no good explanation in accordance with COM:FR as to why these actions are better than leaving the duplicates, or redirecting to the harmonized naming scheme. An approach of keeping the "oldest" file, is not the policy.
BTW, the uploader has a grand total of 131 edits, they may not be back and are unlikely to understand these policies.
@Tomasz-Asiana-Ostrowski-2004: for comment. -- (talk) 19:58, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
Hmm, proposol: I turn the redirect vise versa and keep (exceptional) the younger (=your) copy. Normaly the older copies get kept. --JuTa 20:03, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
Please ensure the correct 'year' categories are used. The current merging done is itself misleading as the categories conflict with the EXIF dates. -- (talk) 20:08, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
I'm currently busy turning around the redirects, which makes you hopefully happy and will take me about an hour of work. --JuTa 20:11, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
We are dealing with family funerals, nothing is going to be 'happy' right now, but it can be good to have a distraction.
On a technical point, I am unsure why the duplicates are created. If these files are part of the batch run of October 2020, the API duplicate warnings should not have been ignored. If these are digitally identical, the uploads should have skipped. -- (talk) 20:14, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
They werent as you can see on Special:ListDuplicatedFiles Nr. 712-740. --JuTa 20:16, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
@, its done execpt for File:Official portrait of Baroness Taylor of Bolton crop 2, 2019.jpg / File:Official portrait of Baroness Taylor of Bolton 2020 crop 2.jpg, which has an EXIF of 2019 and the older file was uploaded by yourself. --JuTa 21:03, 29 October 2020 (UTC) (ping again: @)

Hi, JuTa, there is a situation with the template: {{PD-AR-Signs}}, which you protected some years ago.

Notification about possible deletion

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

File:CORRÊA, Sérgio Alvim (ed.). Alberto Nepomuceno - catálogo geral. Rio de Janeiro- FUNARTE, 1985. p. 8‑9 (3. encarte).pdf

Dear JuTa,

Thank you for your message with regard to the file uploaded to the article on Alberto Nepomuceno (pt.wikipedia). However, you stating that:

"While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. Please edit the file description and add the missing information, or the file may be deleted."

The link presented in this passage to "edit the file description" <https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:CORRÊA,_Sérgio_Alvim_(ed.)._Alberto_Nepomuceno_-_catálogo_geral._Rio_de_Janeiro-_FUNARTE,_1985._p._8%E2%80%919_(3._encarte).pdf&action=edit> leads to a page in which the so‑called "orginal work" is fully referenced in the caption as "Título de sócio honorário do Club Carlos Gomes de Pernambuco", 7 set. 1880." — there is no other way to reference this document. Therefore, I am at a loss on what else the guardians want to be done. Please, be more specific, since I don't see anything to be done in order to allow for that essential document. I wonder if there is a miscommunication with regard to Portuguese.--177.32.77.105 23:58, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

Logos missing permission

Hi JuTa, you recently deleted a couple of files for lacking evidence of permission. These were tagged by Lucho365, a sockpuppet of a user who has long been targeting these files. Many of these were logos that met the terms of {{PD-textlogo}}; at the very least, some should have been subject to discussion at COM:DR. Could you please take a look over the following files and reconsider their deletion?

Thank you. ƏXPLICIT 23:59, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

Might be, but they were definitly not own work by the uploader(s) and not {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}}. With a reliable source and a valid license feel free to undelete the images. --JuTa 00:03, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

English: Legal notice: According to Article 17.1 of Law 19/2014, ©Generalitat de Catalunya allows the reuse of content and data provided that the source and date of updating is cited and that the information is not denatured (Article 8 of Law 37/2007) and is not contradicted by a specific license.

Why do you think the copyright of thos poster belongs to Generalitat de Catalunya? --JuTa 21:29, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

Time to get OTRS permission

Dear JuTa

We received an information about your deletion of serveral images for "No OTRS permission for 30 days" reason.
We find this a bit much that we have been warned that the processing of our request could take several months.

We can't access Ticket#2020101110006774, but maybe you can.
We send several email to this ticket with the approbation of the author who allow us to upload his files on Wikimedia. For example, here is one of our exchange the Wed, 16 Sep 2020 11:03:02 +0200 between our president Jean-Olivier Gransard-Desmond and Jacques Dassié, the author, where the author allows ArkéoTopia to upload his files on Commons :

Toutes les images figurant dans la partie archéologique peuvent être mises à la disposition de commons Wikimedia. Attention, cela représente encore environ 75 images archéologiques qui pourraient constituer la base d'une première sélection.
Translation : All the images in the archaeological part can be put into Wikimedia commons. Please note, this still represents around 75 archaeological images which could form the basis of a first selection.

If we had not asked for an OTRS permission, did you delete the files? If not, the next time, we will upload without asking for this permission since we had got the permission from the author. We did it in order to prove to all archaeologists who would like to use those files, they can without contacting us or the author.

It is too bad to complicate things because you don't exchange with us before.
Please to hear from you ArkéoTopia (talk) 10:06, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

Hi @ArkéoTopia, I think JuTa is not an OTRS agent, hence he cannot see the ticket. Je suis désolé, we have a huge backlog in the french permission queue at the moment. We are working on catching up.
Hi @JuTa, the ticket is okay. Can you please restore the files, they are:
Salutations cordiales, bon dimanche --Mussklprozz (talk) 10:34, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

✓ Done. @Mussklprozz please complete the OTRS talk now, Ive renewed the "received" tags. this applies to all cases above too. Thx. --JuTa 17:12, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
Thanks a lot, JuTa.
Concerning File:Ticket Jeanne Susplugas.jpg and File:Parastinchi .jpg some questions remained open when I saw the pictures, so I wrote back to the client asking for clarification. Please allow some time for an answer.
Concerning File:Clinique de dépistage mobile Montréal 03.jpg and File:Clinique de dépistage mobile Montréal 04.jpg, are there any problems such that the pictures cannot be accepted, or did you oversee that request?
Cheers, have a nice evening --Mussklprozz (talk) 18:16, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
@Mussklprozz: No, I just missed them. They are back now. Did you saw the section below? --JuTa 18:21, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

Hallo,

--Matlin (talk) 11:55, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

@Mussklprozz as the agent added the "received" tag. Can you confirm the release ist valid? --JuTa 17:14, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
PS: The Ticket-Number was 2020100610002519. --JuTa 17:16, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
--Mussklprozz (talk) 21:43, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

Mr. Juta i really feels exhausted with wikimedia , i try many times thewse problems about copyright in different ways to proof that it\s mine all teses images and certificates but there is still something wrong look mr. Juta i have tried now for two files to resolve the problem , i hope you accept thiese licenses: File:ايلينا دزاماشفيلى.png File:شهادة تقدير من المركز الثقافي الروسي.pdf but about flag of egypt it is from wikipedia itself when i write "مصر" it appears so its copyright from wikipedia itself please don't push me to never write again in wikipedia plz mr. juta can i upload afterthat from flickr to avoid all ot this? thank you

Well the document is definitly now your own work as claimed on the description page. And the other file looks like a photo of the photo. Where you got the original from, and who is the photogrpher of the original? --JuTa 11:29, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

Refund?

Hi, you redirected:

Can you restore the page histories of these image files? Tx. See also Commons:Administrators' noticeboard#Soprano performance part of opening chorus of BWV 8. --Francis Schonken (talk) 11:27, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

Done, but only the history of the description pages, as the files are binary identical. --JuTa 11:44, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Much obliged! I've now reverted to an earlier version of the content of those pages, and am now asking to:
  1. revert the file of File:Soprano performance part of opening chorus of BWV 8, prepared for Bach's première of the cantata in 1724.png to any of the versions I uploaded
  2. revert the file of File:BWV 8 1 soprano.jpeg to the version I uploaded
  3. restore the file of File:Soprano performance part of movement 1-5 of BWV 8, prepared for Bach's première of the cantata in 1724.png (which now no longer will be a double)
  4. restore the file of File:BWV 8 1-5 soprano.jpg (which, also, now no longer will be a double)
I'd prefer (if that is possible) that these four steps would be performed as a clear admin action, as to avoid future confusion. Tx! --Francis Schonken (talk) 12:21, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
  • These files were created by me. The way that they were created has been explained on Commons Noticeboard. I uploaded high resolution pages for soprano, transverse flute and cor anglais parts. User:Francis Schonken has made untruthful claims about how the images were created. He states that they were uploaded directly from bkr.be using the upload wizard. Those are false statements, because it not possible to upload digital images directly from the Royal Library of Belgium. The library uses the technology AJAX-zoom to view images. On the other hand, using the script "dezoomify-rs" and careful choice of parameters, I have succeeded in uploading images. Initially it took a lot of time. What is more likely is that my high quality images were copied by Francis Schonken onto a computer, with a change to format (jpg, png or jpeg), cropped and then uploaded.
Some years back, it was not possible for Mategna paintings in the Royal Collection in Britain to be downloaded using dezoomify. At that stage I manually created and assembled plaques to create images of the paintings. Looking at a blown-up image of the paintings, it is easy to verify that I was the editor who created images on Commons. However, another user (from Italy?) claimed to have found the same paintings. On close examination it was just a copy of my image. So that is another example when users have been economical with the truth. Mathsci (talk) 13:02, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
I didnt restored any file version, just the description pages. And the redirect should stay redirects. Maybe you should {{Split}} the remaining files into 2 version, one for each "taste" of you both. --JuTa 15:14, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Please explain your reverts (I mean, why you reverted, and why you think these pages should stay redirects?), thanks. --Francis Schonken (talk) 15:18, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Anyhow, I placed a {{Split}} request at File:Soprano performance part of opening chorus of BWV 8, prepared for Bach's première of the cantata in 1724.png – obviously, the normal location for the split version would be File:Soprano performance part of movement 1-5 of BWV 8, prepared for Bach's première of the cantata in 1724.png (so that that page is no longer a redirect). This makes your reaction above ("...the redirect should stay redirects...") somewhat incomprehensible, so as I asked in my previous post, please explain that response. --Francis Schonken (talk) 15:30, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Because I did NOT restored the files, only the description (for what ever that might be good, but it might help you to check sth or similar). I did NOT restaored the files, because they ARE identical to the other 2 still exitsing ones. --JuTa 15:35, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Please restore the files on all four pages, as I asked above, tx. --Francis Schonken (talk) 15:55, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
No, please request {{Split}} of the remaining two as I wrote above. --JuTa 15:57, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
One {{Split}} is filed, as I said above (diff), please proceed with the split (if you can do so). I want to see how that works before proceeding with the other split request. Tx. --Francis Schonken (talk) 16:03, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Gimme some time, I'm going offline now. --JuTa 16:26, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
  • (ec) User:Francis Schonken is not being truthful at the moment. It is not possible to use the upload wizard on Commons for high resolution kbr.de images, simply because AJAX-zoom is not compatible. Wishful thinking will not change that. For the image on kbr.be, the following command was needed to dezoomify:
./dezoomify-rs --header "Referer: https://viewerd.kbr.be/" "https://viewerd.kbr.be/display/A/1/8/6/1/8/5/0/0000-00-00_00/zoomtiles/BE-KBR00_A-1861850_0000-00-00_0051/2-{{X}}-{{Y}}.jpg"
The three high-res images were created by me and proper attribution will be required to create a derivative of it. That is the usual form. Sometimes, after uploading images on wikipedia, much later they will be automatically transferred to Commons. I usually recognise the users making the transfer (fastily, ogrebot, magnus, etc) and they are always clearly labelled. On en.wikipedia.org I have been often been asked to provide autograph manuscripts for Bach cantatas. This is the only time when a problem has occurred. A long while back I downloaded a high resolution image of the autograph manuscript for cantata No 105: that is now used as the template for all Bach cantatas on fr.wikipedia.org. I added another file for cantata No 105 yesterday File:BWV105-chorale.jpeg, splicing together two pages.
Previously Francis Schonken added this file [7] directly to en.wikipedia.org. That image file was completely the norm, but indicates how Francis Schonken edits. For these files, Francis Schonken insisted on Commons that a autograph manuscript from 1724 by J. S. Bach was also coauthored by two dead people, a hymn writer (Neumann, d 1715) and another composer (Vetter, d 1721). This is not good faith editing. Mathsci (talk) 17:37, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Because of bogus documentation on Commons and en.WP that a manuscript by Bach could have two dead people as coauthors, it's hard to take Francis Schonken's suggestions seriously. Until that is sorted out, I cannot really see a reason for a split. Mathsci (talk) 18:18, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
The first file is splitted.
File:Soprano performance part of opening chorus of BWV 8, prepared for Bach's première of the cantata in 1724.png for the version(s) of Mathsci
File:Soprano performance part of movement 1-5 of BWV 8, prepared for Bach's première of the cantata in 1724.png for the versions(s) of Francis Schonken
I hope this will end the dispute and no editwar will continue here or in other projects. --JuTa 18:53, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
(ec) The first upload of Francis Schonken's had very low resolution. My file, also in png format, was very high resolution. It looks as if Francis Schonken copied my dezoomified image: the only way to make a high resolution image on kbr.be is by dezoomifying or copying another file. Francis Schonken's image file on en.wikipedia has 3,384 × 2,736 pixels; the image file on Commons has 3,384 × 2,736 pixels. They are identical. However the first upload of Francis Schonken, apparently using an upload wizard, had 1,082 × 876 pixels. It had very low resolution.
Likewise I created one image for Daniel Vetter, zoomifying using the highest resolutionFile:Daniel_Vetter_1709_Leipzig.png where I identified a source that was hard to find. It was not a simple upload. Francis Schonken saw my Commons image, copied the same source and, not knowing how to zoomify at full scale, just copy-pasted and cropped my image.
Francis Schonken has not made many uploads to Commons except recently. Mathsci (talk) 20:06, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
User:JuTa, alas, wrong file names for wrong files: you put the "movement 1-5" image on the "opening chorus" file page, and the "opening chorus" image on the "movement 1-5" file page. So I must ask you to undo the merge. It was no help. On the contrary, it made things worse. --Francis Schonken (talk) 19:36, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Grpfl, I switched the 2 files now. PS: I realy dont care about your dispute. I only hope to help to stop it. --JuTa 08:06, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
Swapping the titles was fine, although the file names are extremely lengthy. I noticed today that, without compression of some sort, some images cannot always be uploaded on commons. On the other hand two recent large images with titles containing BWV105 and BWV140 were fine. Mathsci (talk) 10:44, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

Public domain text logos

Hello, JuTa. I apologize if my English is defficient. I am an user in Commons and Wikipedia in Spanish, a proyect where all images come from Commons (and they must to fulfill Commons policies). Recently you deleted a number of text logos of TV channels from Chile that are in public domain because they are inelligible for copyright (text and colors). This deletion is harmful for Wikipedia in Spanish and, in my opinion, is not right according Commons policies. Could you review those logos and restore the ones that are in public domain? This is the list:

Thanks in advance. Lin linao ¿dime? 21:59, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

Hi Lin linao, they were claimed own work by Danrolo. Feel free to reupload them with proper sources, authors and licenses. --JuTa 22:04, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
@JuTa: These were deleted as a result of trolling by Luis camilo álvarez vega (talk · contribs) and his socks, who added bogus no license tags. They should be restored and, if needed, their licensing info updated and corrected. --Kuatrero (talk) 20:38, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
Again: Feel free to reupload them with proper sources, authors and licenses. I dont know any sources for them, So I cannot correct the descriptions. --JuTa 00:29, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
