Flickr image

Hello,

I've uploaded an image from Flickr after asking the author to change the licence from a non-free licence to CC-BY-SA, which they have done. The image is here.

I've not uploaded a file from Flickr before, so just wondering if there's anything else I need to do? Many thanks. Doogooder (talk) 07:55, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

Modification of Template:PD-VenezuelaGov

Hello, I want to talk to you about the modification of the template Template:PD-VenezuelaGov that mentions the public domain license for Venezuela.

Recently in 2012, the government decreed a law that releases to the public domain all the graphic material that is made by any of the government institutions.

The law in question is the Ley Orgánica del Trabajo, los Trabajadores y las Trabajadoras (Labor Law in English), decreed in May 7, 2012. In which article no. 325 decrees (in Spanish):

La producción intelectual generada bajo relación de trabajo en el sector público, o financiada a través de fondos públicos que origine derechos de propiedad intelectual, se considerará del dominio público, manteniéndose los derechos al reconocimiento público del autor o autora.

Translated into English would be:

The intellectual production generated under an employment relationship in the public sector, or financed through public funds that originates intellectual property rights, will be considered to be in the public domain, maintaining the rights to public recognition of the author.

Can be modify this template to add this law?

Vandalism warning

Hello Jeff G.

How is adding a date/location category classed as vandalizing the content of Wikimedia Commons as you have commented on my talk page? I think this is a very threatening attitude with threats of blocking me. Please explain yourself. I have changed the month to May which was the wrong month in the original edit.

@Kolforn: How do you know File:Home Instead Seat Mii electric car at Tidworth Road carpark public charging point (20220521 175243 431c).jpg was taken in February? I can't see that in the Metadata section on the file description page, even in the extended details. I also can't see it in Windows Explorer 10's File Properties Details, and Jeffrey's Exif Viewer is unavailable at the moment. February was a Keyboard mistake made by me, pressing 02 instesd of 05 so no delibrate vandalizing as you accused me of doing. As there seems to be a problem with correct dates concerning the uploders camera, I will not edited any more of this users images! Kolforn (talk) 11:07, 18 June 2022 (UTC)

@Kolforn: Can you please elaborate what seems to be the problem with my camera? Do I need to send it back to the shop or for repair? Can you also elaborate on why you are choosing omit the time portion when you have been using {{Taken on}} as I would like to understand why your use of it seems to apparently vary from the template documentation. About the block / I stopped I'm taking a break from the project

@LeonaardoG: The logs say that you changed the license for that file from "cc-by-sa-4.0" to "CC-BY YouTube", why? What about the files in the #Copyright and license infringments section above? I didn't know that it would be a prohibited action to change the license of a file which the license fits most. If the file is from YouTube and was with CC-BY-SA 4.0 I changed it only to CC-BY YouTube I hope you review, what it really was, my intention was just to improve the file. -- LeonaardoG (talk) 00:35, 26 June 2022 (UTC)

Copyright and license infringments

Hello, may you have a look at User talk:LeonaardoG please. You have already had contact with LeonardoG advising him about copyright violations and missing legal licensing. The user is not really impressed about the advises and continues uploading problematic pics every day. Some examples:

Copyright / Tamper-proof file submissions

Hello, good morning, I just felt those 5 files with unknown copyright please see before blocking me if you had reason to do this attitude because of 5 files with index of infringement on the Commons. Unified User login

@Jeff G.: can't recall if I noticed it here, on your youe user talk page, that someone seemzd to have a problem with the unified user login. When logging in some minutes ago, I noticed Central user log in The provided authentication token is either expired or invalid. Seems to me it has to do with the token] Hope this helps.
