Translation

Hi Jeff!

I would like to translate Template:File copyright status (that you created) in French, but I don't see the usual "tool" to do so. Can I juste create Template:File copyright status/fr for that, or does something need to be done on the original page to allow for translation ? --Titlutin (talk) 20:10, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

My CAr Pictures Ain't No Copyright Violation!

Hello Jeff G. Is the act of overwriting at File:0758jfBrillante Mendoza Film Festival SM City Baliuagfvf 12.jpg acceptable in accordance with Commons:OVERWRITE? It was overwritten by the uploader (Judgefloro) after I tagged it with copyvio (as it was originally a movie poster). He then overwritten it with a different file (though I'm unsure if this file is a redundant file to one of his already existing uploads since it is in a different resolution). Redirects

Hi, You don't have to place nominations on my talk page about redirects from 2019. Sometimes people revert me and say 'this was not a recent upload, so I made a redirect' and now I get nominations on my talk page, only to let me know I left a redirect for a file that's 1,5 years old. The last month(s) I don't leave a redirect if it's from 2018 or newer (an exception can be that I forgot it). I often see file movers leave no redirect for 5-15 year old files. This is weird, because I once saw the wrong date and left the redirect away and the files were about 10 years old, so someone made the redirects because, as I said above, 'this was not a recent upload'. So 2018 until now is enough, or things are changed? A year ago (or something) I got a message that this option was gonna come, but better leave a redirect, because you can lose the rename rights if 'you' don't leave a redirect while there must be one. So, please let me know if I'm missing something or only don't leave a redirect when it's 2018-now is okay. @Myportablefinance: The articles on those companies are on Wikipedia, not here on Wikimedia Commons. They were started based on info with references from reliable secondary sources by people unrelated to the companies who had experience with editing other articles, whereas it appears your page had no references and was created by you with no experience. It seems you are only here on our projects to promote or advertise your business or yourself, not to improve our projects. Requirements for becoming a patroller

Hi there, I was looking Commons:Patrol, but couldn't seem to find any requirements for becoming a patroller. For Autopatrol, "As a rough guideline, administrators usually require editors to have made more than 500 useful non-botlike edits, and to have been active in the last thirty days." Autopatrol is a prerequisite for Patrol.
