As a courtesy to other editors, it is Commons:Signatures policy to sign your posts on talk pages, user talk pages, deletion requests, and noticeboards. To do so, simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments. Your user name or IP address (if you are not logged in) and the date will then automatically be added along with a timestamp when you save your comment. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). Thank you.

File tagging File:Lumen-prize -4.jpg[edit]
This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:Lumen-prize -4.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Lumen-prize -4.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Deletions and your artwork[edit]
Hi Gretchen Andrew, I am here because I came across your files because they seem to be new and you are still alive. So I wanted to delete the files as you hold the copyright of the files. Then I saw that you (the wikipedia commons editor) knows its your artwork and wants to have deleted some of them. Usually we can't delete them once you have uploaded files of your work, but one possibility would be if the photographer was someone else than you. In that case, the only solution is that the photographer was someone else. So if you want to keep some of your files here on commons, you need to add a VRT ticket to the files. You may contact the VRT team to provide them with a valid ticket for your art work. Be aware that after you have provided them with such a ticket, that your artwork will hardly get deleted, even if you request it, as you might have noticed. I suggest you give a separat ticket for each of your art works. You have provided them with a ticket already for this file of yours, maybe you know the editor who uploaded this file. Maybe also @Joalpe (the uploader of the files) can give you some better advice how commons works. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 14:07, 25 December 2023 (UTC)
