Hallo Gereon K.,

Danke für Deinen Beitrag zum Weihnachts-Fotowettbewerb zum Thema Weinachtszeit, Winterzeit, Wendezeit''!

Mit Deiner Hilfe wurden 14 Artikel im Rahmen des Wettbewerbs eingereicht, ferner wurde commons um über 1500 Bilder zu Winter- & Weihnachtsthemen bereichert - mit einer großen Motivvielfalt, die von Weihnachtsmärkten und -dekorationen über Weihnachtsmänner, verschneite Landschaften und Schlössern zu typischen Speisen und Getränken reicht.

Wie Du vielleicht unserem Bericht im Kurier schon entnommen hast, haben wir die Community nun zu Abstimmungen in der Endrunde aufgerufen. Zur Wahl stehen die 14 eingereichten Artikel und 100 Bilder, die bis zum 20. Januar durch die Vorrunde und die Einbindung in Artikel ausgewählt wurden. Für die Gewinner, die bis zum 31. Jänner/Januar mit Eurer Hilfe ermittelt werden, stehen durch Unterstützung seitens von WMDE und WMAT insgesamt 12 Bild- und 4 Artikelpreise zur Verfügung. Da in jeder Kategorie – Bild oder Artikel – nur maximal ein Preis pro Teilnehmer möglich ist, sind die Preischancen groß.

Wir freuen uns, wenn Du Zeit findest, dich an der Wahl zu beteiligen. Du hast beliebig viele gereihte Stimmen, wobei erste Stimmen mehr zählen als nachfolgende (zur Reihung setzt Du einfach eine Zahl vor deine Unterschrift).

Um eine genüssliche Betrachtung der Bilder zu ermöglichen, sind die Finalisten nicht nur auf der Abstimmungsseite, sondern auch in einer Galerie zu finden.

Werter Kürschner. Das sind nun einmal Personenkategorien. Man wird in den Artikeln mit der Kategorieverlinkung darauf hingewiesen, dass man dort Fotos der beschriebenen Person sieht. Das wäre mit einem Reitz-Foto in der Kategorie der Autorin nicht gegeben. Ich war am letzten Freitag auf der Buchmesse in Frankfurt und habe noch weitere Fotos von der Dame gemacht. Why reported it for deletion? The fact that it exists on chessbase is irrelevant to the ownership of this photo. Hello 88BlackSwan88. You uploaded the photo with a Creative Commons license as self-made. But the picture was made by Armin Huck for ChessBase. This is a copyright violation and ChessBase will object that the photo was published here with a fake license and an ownership claim which was a lie. Concerning File Renaming criterion #4[edit]

Hello Sebari. These were requests by User:Mediatus that I simply followed. The files were named as Ortsschild, which is not correct. Those would be yellow in Germany. I moved them, as requested, to Ortshinweistafel, which is the official term for these. Reason #3 would have been more correct, but you should discuss this with Mediatus. Regards, --Gereon K. As a file renamer it's your responsibility to check that the request is correct. That is the reason why there is a "decline" button in the interface. If the reasoning is incorrect, please fix that. Hallo Soued031. Oops, da hatte ich bei Deinem Verschiebewunsch auch nicht genau hingeschaut. Die Datei mit ogg-Extension exisitert noch als Weiterleitung, weswegen ich erst einmal einen Schnelllöschantrag auf die Weiterleitung gestellt habe, damit man danach verschieben kann. @Marcus Cyron: Wie gesagt, wenn man die Verschiebung bei diesen tiff -> tif-Bildern ganz klassisch über Special:MovePage/Dateiname.jpg ausführt, gibt es keine Probleme. Renaming request[edit]

Can you rename File:Migraciones austronesias.png to File:Migrations austronésiennes.png because the title is misleadingly in Spanish, while the content in the map is in French since it was uploaded. If there was no labelling in French or in any language, then the title would have been justified.

And can you also rename File:Carte micronesie.png to File:Carte de Micronésie, because of typographical errors?

Nun habe ich das Problem, dass bei einem zweiten Upload einer besseren Version (Helligkeit angepasst) des gleichen Fotos überall noch das alte Foto (zu dunkel) erscheint. Kannst Du helfen ? Hallo Olga, da der Dateiname bei der helleren Version sich nicht geändert hat, müsstest Du nur die Seiten, in denen das Foto eingebunden ist, "purgen". Damit ist ein Nulledit gemeint bzw. die Bereinigung des Caches. Also auf die Seiten gehen und z.B. beim Firefox F5 drücken oder einfach nur bearbeiten und dann ohne Änderung speichern. Dann sollte die aktuellere Version sichtbar sein. Dies betrifft im Falle des namibischen Spitzmaulnashornes die folgenden Seiten: de:Spitzmaulnashorn, en:Etosha National Park, en:Black rhinoceros und en:User:Olga Ernst/Photographs Namibia 2017 (and earlier). Hi, this file was renamed yesterday but it doesn't show in Wikipedias (Spanish, Azeri, etc.). Its old names are State Flag of Greece (1863-1924 and 1935-1970).svg and Kingdom of Greece Flag.svg. Hallo Gereon K., danke fürs Umbenennen der beiden MIDI-Dateien! Ich hab vor Jahren ziemlich viele MIDI-Dateien von Kirchenliedern mit Nummern statt den richtigen Namen hochgeladen und würde das gern bei allen ändern. Da es sich aber um rund 50 Dateien handelt, würde ich damit ziemlich viel Arbeit verursachen, zumal ja auch die Artikel und Galerien geändert werden müssen, wo die Dateien eingebunden sind. Hallo Rabanus Flavus. Das Umbenennen ist wirklich nur ein Klick. Ich müsste, wenn Du keine einzelnen Anträge stellst, natürlich den tastächlichen Liedtitel aus der Beschreibung holen, aber das ist kein großer Aufwand. Das Problem haben wir ja jetzt auch gelöst :) Die grundsätzliche Schwierigkeit ist, dass viele Melodien mit mehreren Texten verwendet werden und ich entscheiden musste, welchen Textanfang ich wählen wollte. Gelegentlich (wie im obigen Fall) steht der ursprüngliche Text gar nicht mehr in den aktuellen Büchern. - Auch in dem Punkt sind die Angelsachsen praktischer. Hallo Gereon, herzlichen Dank für die Mühe. Ich finde es total spannend und sinnvoll solche Vorträge zu halten, denn Wikipedia ist schließlich DAS Nachschlagwerk überhaupt ! Die Pinguine sind sehenswert, besonders die Landschaft ist herrlich. Günstiger und "freier" (Eintritt wesentlich billiger) leben jedoch die Pinguine bei Betty´s Bay, wo sich auch der Harold Porter Park befindet. Meine Eltern haben 28 Jahre in Hermanus gelebt. Meine Familie ist übrigens schon in 4.Generation in Namibia u. Südafrika und sie haben zum Teil Deutschland noch nie gesehen. Ich habe mir erlaubt in deinem Vortrag die beiden "where" in "were" umzuwandeln, da where "wo" bedeutet und were bedeutet "waren". Dir einen wunderbaren Urlaub in Südafrika ! - That's definitely not a valid rename under criterion 2. We don't rename files to improve the file names, we only rename when it's really wrong. Rules for creating categories of tpye "Category:F-GLST (aircraft)"[edit]

Hallo. Having just stumbled upon this example: Please NEVER create such a category without ALL of the following items (example):

Otherwise you are effectively hiding the file by omitting the most important characteristics of an aircraft, namely the Type and current country of registration.

Hallo Uli. Ich lasse bei Anlage und Vergabe der Registrierungskat die Category:Unidentified aircraft stehen. Du möchtest also lieber, dass gar nicht nach Registrierung kategorisiert wird, wenn Model und Registrierungsland nicht bekannt sind? Die Registrierungskat ist ja nicht falsch. Danke für die rasche Antwort! Die Registrierungskat ist zwar nicht unmittelbar falsch, insofern aber doch, als sie unvollständig ist und die üblichen Verdächtigen, pardon Bearbeiter dazu verleitet, sie als OK anzusehen nach dem Motto: "Ah, das Flugzeug hat ja schon seine eigene cat und ist also schon identifiziert."

Eine (korrekte) Typenkategorie ist ja dringend erwünscht, da sie das wichtigste und (neben dem Baujahr) einzige unveränderliche Merkmal eines Flugzeugs ist. Alles andere wie Kennzeichen, Land, Betreiber, Ort, Aufnahmedatum, Betriebsphase usw. sind nett, aber eben variabel und daher eher zweitrangig.

Daher wäre es für die wenigen Hanseln, die solche "Unidentified"-Listen bearbeiten, hilfreicher, eben nur "Unidentified" einzugeben, es sei denn man kennt den Rest. Verfeinert werden könnte das noch, indem stattdessen die Eingabe in die passende Subkategorie erfolgt, hier also "Unidentified propeller-driven civil aircraft". Hallo Sicherlich. Wenn ein Verschiebewunsch schon einmal abgelehnt wurde, bekomme ich einen Hinweis ("be bold"). Das war bei dieser Datei nicht der Fall. Deinen Text hatte ich leider nicht gesehen. Aber wenn Du Dir die Kategorie der gesprochenen Städtenamen anschaust (Category:German pronunciation of names of cities) sind dort eigentlich so gut wie alle Datein mit dieser Syntax hinterlegt: Sprachkürzel + Stadtname. Wobei es nur nicht einheitlich ist, ob der Stadtname groß oder klein geschrieben ist. Hallo Ailura and Gereon, in my opinion, the filename File:20170613 Handball AUT-ROU Cristina Neagu 8446 .jpg has informations that are useless in the title and must rather be given in file description (or through categories), as it actually is. Hence, why not the long date (even though this is not a important date for Neagu (a finale, an extraordinary performance or an particular day for instance), so the year may be enough I guess), but "Handball AUT-ROU" and "8446" are definetely not needed in the title, I think, since it's not the topic of the picutre which only shows a person, Neagu. There is no rule concerining your opinion which information is useless.Commons:File renaming says clearly, that language and schema of filenames should be preserved, as well as the camera or catalogue number. Wiki Loves Monuments 2019[edit]

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. bis zum 30. September 2019 findet zum neunten Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt. Dabei können Bau- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich ein, dieses Jahr wieder mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Es sind viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu fotografieren. Neben beeindruckenden märchenhaften Schlössern, Burgen und Kirchen können auch andere Kulturdenkmale wie Brücken, Industrieruinen, Bauernhöfe oder Parks fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. Important message for file movers[edit]

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
To perform file name swaps.
When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. Renaming a bunch of files[edit]

Hi, I uploaded around 200 images, and still have a few more. I have File:19 Those Who Come, Will Hear En.jpg and File:19 Ceux qui viendront, l'entendront Fr.jpg, and a better naming would be File:Poster 19 Those Who Come, Will Hear En.jpg and File:Affiche 19 Ceux qui viendront, l'entendront Fr.jpg.

Except the bracketed bit and the "cropped" tagline, the entire filename is the original one provided by the European Parliament, which describes what is happening in the photograph. Renaming policy does not suggest in any form whatsoever that a partial obscure number string merits a renaming ("partial" as in opposed to "entirely"). The filename is very much descriptive minor number string notwithstanding. "In general, Commons aims to provide stable filenames as there might be external file clients and file moving involves significant human and computing resources. File moving does not involve significant human and computing resources at all, that's a myth. It's one click and our servers are not on the brink of their capacity. Off course you are entitled to move it back in case you deem the old file name superior. Didym, ohne Anleitung für diesen Programmiercode weiß ich nicht, wie ich so etwas anwenden könnte. Da steht für den Kategorienamen "+ name". Muss ich also vor den Kategorienamen ein Plus-Zeichen setzen und dann ein Leerzeichen? Und wo schreibe ich die gewünschte Änderung hin? Und wo die Begründung für die Bearbeitungszeile? Und wie stelle ich sicher, dass nur die eine Zahl verändert wird bei der Verschiebung? Und wie definiert er das, wenn die selbe Zahl noch woanders in dem Dateinamen auftaucht? Und wie starte ich das Teil überhaupt? Kopiere ich mir das in mein Monobook oder sonstwo hin? Das bindest du wie hier in der dritten Zeile ein. Damit hast du auf jeder Kategorieseite oben im Menü einen zusätzllichen Eintrag, mit dem du das Tool öffnen kannst. Die Kategorie ist nach dem Öffnen schon voreingestellt, du musst nur noch den zu ersetzenden Namensbestandteil und den Ersatz sowie einen Grund angeben. "Do prompt every file?" könnte für den Anfang auch hilfreich sein, den Rest (von der Weiterleitung vielleicht abgesehen) kannst du ignorieren. --Didym (talk) 11:21, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Die 3. Zeile lautet @author: User:Legoktm/massrename.js - 2014 und die 3. Zeile des Codes lautet var mrg_queue, // In-progress queue während die 3. Zeile der ersten Funktion action: 'query', lautet. Deshalb hatte ich nicht verstanden, was Du schriebst. Jetzt habe ich mir eine common.js erstellt und dort einen Rotlink. Beim Verschieben hat sich nichts geändert. --Gereon K. bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. bis zum 30. September 2020 findet zum zehnten Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt. Dabei können Bau-, Boden- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich gern wieder ein, dieses Jahr mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Obwohl es den Wettbewerb seit zehn Jahren gibt, sind immer noch viele Motive überall in Deutschland zu fotografieren. Neben beeindruckenden märchenhaften Schlössern, Burgen und Kirchen können auch andere Kulturdenkmale wie Brücken, Industrieruinen, Bauernhöfe oder Parks fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. In den letzten Jahren sind zahlreiche neue Denkmallisten entstanden, die sich über Fotos freuen. Es haben sich auch Kulturdenkmale verändert, sie wurden saniert oder umgestaltet. Diese Entwicklung kann auch gezeigt werden. Für die Suche nach Motiven gibt es bei Wikipedia zahlreiche Listen und Karten. Als Einstieg hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du auf der Mitmach-Seite.

@DMacks: This might be. Thank you for pointing that out. The criterion might have been the wrong one, but I think the new file name is still an improvement. The new filename is more specific, but the original filename is neigher wrong nor ambiguous, and not out-of-sync with a unified set of other files...doesn't fit any of the Commons:File renaming speedy criteria. This editor is headed for a(nother) block, for which both previous blocks on commons and multiple blocks on enwiki relate to misuse of process (including specifically page-moves). Wiki Loves Monuments 2021[edit]

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. bis zum 30. September 2021 findet zum elften Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt. Dabei können Bau-, Boden- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich gern wieder ein, dieses Jahr mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Obwohl es den Wettbewerb seit über zehn Jahren gibt, sind immer noch viele Motive überall in Deutschland zu fotografieren. Im Herzen Deutschlands in Thüringen und in Niedersachsen sind neue Denkmallisten entstanden, die auf Fotos warten. Übrigens in der Hauptstadt Thüringens in Erfurt findet dieses Jahr die WikiCon vom 1. bis 3. Oktober statt. Dies könnte man mit einem Foto-Kurzurlaub vor der WikiCon in Thüringen verbinden …

Vor dem Hintergrund der Flutkatastrophe 2021 haben wir auch drei Sonderpreise ausgelobt. Damit sollen Fotos prämiert werden, die Kulturdenkmale zeigen, die zerstört wurden. Das Foto kann das Objekt vor oder nach der Zerstörung zeigen.

ich bin kürzlich über dieses Bild gestolpert, das Du wohl mal hochgeladen hast. Es hat zwar ein VRT-Ticket, aber die Beschriftung leuchtet mir nicht so richtig ein. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. TLF/HLF[edit]

Hallo, bei deinen Fotos File:Elektrofeuerwehrfahrzeug Ennepetal vorne.jpg und File:Rosenbauer AT TLF 4000 FF der Feuerwehr Ennepetal von hinten.jpg kollidieren Name/Beschreibung und Bildinhalt. Du benennst das Fahrzeug als de:TLF 4000, oben links darauf geschrieben steht jedoch de:HLF 20. Und meine rasche Internetsuche findet dann auch nur zwei neue „Elektro-Hilfeleistungslöschfahrzeuge“ bei der Feuerwehr Ennepetal und kein Elektro-Tanklöschfahrzeug. Hallo Sitacuisses. Genau gesagt sind das Rosenbauer AT TLF 4000 FF. Das ist die Modellbezeichnung. Das HLF steht tatsächlich für Hilfeleistungslöschfahrzeug, die 20 für das Gewicht (20 Tonnen). Jein ...? Woher stammt denn die Bezeichnung AT TLF 4000 FF? Bei der Feuerwehr Ennepetal finde ich die Typ-Bezeichnung Rosenbauer RT. Dazu gibt es den noch unbebilderten Artikel de:Rosenbauer RT/RTX. Ich vermute, du hast die Daten eines anderen Fahrzeugs herangenommen. RT (elektrisch) beim Hersteller - AT beim Hersteller. Und ein TLF 4000 hat ganz andere Aufgaben als ein HLF. Das TLF ist der Wassertanker, das HLF der Werkzeugkasten mit Löschfunktion. Ein TLF gibt es in E-Tal sicher ebenfalls. --Sitacuisses (talk) 23:07, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
