"Eurovision Song Contest 2019"

Hi there. Please review your recent DR closures. Somehow they appear under an unrelated title. --E4024 (talk) 12:27, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

@E4024: Hi E4024. Could you provide me with a link? Looks OK from my side. Sometimes the gadget puts the delf tag in the wrong place. Gbawden (talk) 12:31, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
They are at the "deletion log", I understand as edit summaries, not in the DRs themselves. --E4024 (talk) 12:40, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
@E4024: That is really strange. I have no idea to change it - it only appears like that in the log. If you look at "Commons:Deletion requests/File:Nitish kumar teja.jpg there is no mention of the Eurovision. Gbawden (talk) 12:51, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

Undelete Photo

Dear Gbawden,

photo "Park Naukowo-Technologiczny w Opolu.jpg" was sent by messenger communicator only between my computers, and wasn't published nowhere before. That picture was shot by my and I'm only owner of copyrights of this photo. So please restored this photo. Thanks and regards.

Hi there

Please have a look at Commons:Deletion requests/Files uploaded by Enmanuel2307. Do we have a case of "deleted files re-uploaded" here? Thanks. --E4024 (talk) 23:42, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

Commons:Deletion requests/File:Combi logo.svg

Hello, it looks like you forgot to close the discussion at Commons:Deletion requests/File:Combi logo.svg, though you marked the file as kept. clpo13(talk) 16:48, 29 March 2019 (UTC)

@Clpo13: Thanks. I missed that one Gbawden (talk) 06:35, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

Would you please consider restoring this file? The uploader makes a plausible case that he is the author, so IMO we should tag it as missing permission. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 17:42, 30 March 2019 (UTC)

@Magog the Ogre: Hi. Done. I have tagged it as missing permission Gbawden (talk) 06:25, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

Arly Jover new photo

Hello Gbawden. First of all, I wanted to thank you for looking out and making sure there are no copyright violations here. Now, you said that there maybe one in the new photo that was loaded for Arly Jover. Let me assure you there is not. The photo is mine. I took it. If TimeArt has it and uses it in there webpage, it is because I aloud it. I gave it to them. Best regards — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arly Jover (talk • contribs) 08:06, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

@Arly Jover: Please could you upload a file with the exif data or supply some kind of proof of ownership? Please comment on the deletion discussion page so everyone sees it Gbawden (talk) 08:12, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

Undelete request- FILE: Wang_Leehom_-_Best_Actor1.jpg

Hi @Gbawden: Please kindly undelete the file as the photo is provided by Hongsheng Culture for free use on all social media as well as any website that is related to the artist. I've also received permission to freely use these photos that they sent. Therefore this and other similar photos will appear on various articles and sites that reported on the artist winning the award. Thank you. Kievew (talk) 07:38, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

@Kievew: Please post this request at COM:UDR. You will need to provide the permission to OTRS - without this permission the file will not be undeleted Gbawden (talk) 09:54, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

UAWS Images

Hi Gbawden,

Why did you delete the images? This nomination was done months ago, and nobody mentioned OTRS. If you believe that this is an appropriate course of action, why not suggest it before taking a drastic and destructive action? From my comments, it should have been obvious, that no copyright laws have been violated. Rather, it's a question of formalities and technicalities, so why this sudden action?
I respectfully ask to restore the images. 凰兰时罗 (talk) 15:07, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
@凰兰时罗: You have had since October to obtain permission. I suggest you obtain the permission via OTRS and request undeletion Gbawden (talk) 06:10, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
No, I did NOT have since October, because nobody ever mentioned the need for OTRS, and nobody ever replied to my post! Please restore the images, point me to the correct procedure, and I will help UAWS to jump through the hoops. I believe that Wikipedia is about people cooperating for the common good, and if we want to achieve this, good communication is essential. Why not reply to my post and explain about this OTRS, why take a deleterious action instead? 凰兰时罗 (talk) 14:56, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
A Deletion Request was your notification! I merely closed it - after almost 5 months. I consider this matter closed. As I said, if you want it undeleted follow the process. The deletion request was valid Gbawden (talk) 06:06, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
Please point me to the appropriate policy that justifies your actions. Please be specific. I read through Commons:Deletion policy, and I am not sure that your actions or even your new demands for OTRS are appropriate.
On top of that, I see this incident as an example of very poor communication skills on the side of both you and the original nominee. I explained the situation immediately after the nomination was made, and the best course of action would been to communicate with me, not to take drastic action after months of dead silence. I believe that such poor communication skills may be excusable for a regular user, but inappropriate for an administrator, entrusted with taking actions. 凰兰时罗 (talk) 17:37, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
My question still stands. I now suspect that the deletion was inappropriate altogether. Please point to specific guidelines that would justify the deletion and the OTRS demands for this particular case. 凰兰时罗 (talk) 14:45, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
Please see COM:LL - "Unless the uploader is the copyright holder, we require proof that the copyright holder released the work under the license." That proof was lacking thus the file was nominated in the first place and then deleted. Gbawden (talk) 07:36, 5 April 2019 (UTC)

Delinker

It looks like some unfulfilled requests of yours have been at User:CommonsDelinker/commands for a long time, you might want to check them. Jmabel ! talk 23:19, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

@Jmabel: Hi. I see a few duplicates that I processed. Is there something I still need to do? I can't see an option for processing. Sorry this is relatively new to me Gbawden (talk) 06:21, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
If the remaining status is a notice back to you that delinker can't do anything about the image, you would do well to remove that. Presumably no one other than you has any way to follow up further. - Jmabel ! talk 20:14, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

Re:File copyright status

Hello Gbawden, I've received a warning message by you in my talk page this morning, but I can't figure out about what kind of files you were referring to. Could you be more explicit, please? Thank you. --Mess (talk) 19:45, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

Hello. You closed Commons:Deletion requests/File:Subrata Koloi.jpg as Deleted, but File:Subrata Koloi.jpg still exists and you tagged its talk page with {{Kept}}. I think one of those may have been a mistake. --bjh21 (talk) 10:18, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

@Bjh21: My bad. Fixed. Thanks for spotting it Gbawden (talk) 10:25, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

Glammis Castle

Should not be renamed. I debated this to myself when I uploaded the image. Canmore is a modern reference resource and sanitised version of Scottish history. In the the book the image comes from The baronial and ecclesiastical antiquities of Scotland (1852)by Billings it is named Glammis (Angus). In The earth and its inhabitants by Élisée Reclus and edited by Ravenstein on page 366 you can see it spelt as Glammis, and I could go on and on. Glamis as a spelling was only fixed on, relatively recently in history. Please change it back. The modern mis-spelling here, acts as a signpost to the researcher to investigate alternative spellings. I'm all for correcting modern day spelling goofs (I only found one yesterday made by the Imperial War Museum made in the 50s or later who misspelt what the artist was telling them on his drawing), but not historical correct spellings. Still Billings beats Canmore everytime. Again, move the file back to its correct original spelling Glammis. Can you explain to me why as the original uploader, spelling it as given in the original source this file was renamed? Regards --Broichmore (talk) 09:49, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
@Broichmore: Hi. The request to rename came from Finavon so he would need to explain his reasoning. I merely processed it as it appeared to be a reasonable request for renaming Gbawden (talk) 10:45, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
My explanation is on the image Talk page. Glammis, Angus is fine but Glammis alone survives for another location now in Fife. I do not have a technical knowledge of the relative authority of different sources. I don't have the same strength of feeling as Broichmore so either filename is acceptable. Perhaps the page description should show the source caption (ie Glammis Castle) and indicate that it is now known as Glamis Castle. Finavon (talk) 10:25, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

You closed Commons:Deletion requests/Files on User:BevinKacon/Badstock6 as Keep files in use giving "INUSE" as the reason, but COM:INUSE seems to supports their deletion. Could you explain this decision? Thank you.--BevinKacon (talk) 15:38, 30 March 2019 (UTC)

Hi. There is a strong precedent that if a file is INUSE on a project then it is good enough to keep on commons. While INUSE seems to give us reason to delete, not every admin shares that opinion. I have seen other admins being told off for trying to delete files that are INUSE. I have been following that thinking. FWITW - I completely agree with you. Perhaps this is worth a wider discussion Gbawden (talk) 06:29, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
You'd need to either edit the reason for keeping, reclose as delete, or revert to be closed by someone else.--BevinKacon (talk) 11:49, 6 April 2019 (UTC)
Oh I just noticed you are new admin, I would've attempted to be more sympathetic if I noticed. Relax more and don't feel under pressure if someone disagrees with you.--BevinKacon (talk) 16:33, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

File:صبح مه گرفته در دره نیوکاسل استرالیا.jpg

At Commons:Deletion requests/File:صبح مه گرفته در دره نیوکاسل استرالیا.jpg, regarding File:File:صبح مه گرفته در دره نیوکاسل استرالیا.jpg, you granted the deletion requested by the uploader. However the relevant criteria covers only files uploaded in the previous week, and I find it strange that this would be the only file (among eleven) with deletion requested by the uploader on 19 April which was a indeed a recent upload. Furthermore, there are grounds to keep this file (although I only saw it briefly) — please cp. Commons:Deletion requests/File:یک صبح مه گرفته در دره نیوکاسل استرالیا.jpg. Are you sure this deletion was properly justified? -- Tuválkin 11:28, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

@Tuvalkin: Hi. This user posted a request to delete his posts at the Admin noticeboard and has been bugging the admins to speedy delete them Gbawden (talk) 13:29, 25 April 2019 (UTC)
@Tuvalkin: Thanks Gbawden (talk) 13:24, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi, Did you mean Kept? Regards, Yann (talk) 14:45, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

Why did you delete this file. And as you stated in the deletion above, to see Commons:Deletion requests/Files on User:BevinKacon/Badstock6 (3rd nom). Well, read again the deletion rationale was for personal images only in use in the uploaders own user page were deleted.

But the file that you deleted was in scope. Per Commons:Project_scope#File_in_use_in_another_Wikimedia_project, in particular "A media file that is in use on one of the other projects of the Wikimedia Foundation is considered automatically to be useful for an educational purpose(...) . Such a file is not liable to deletion simply because it may be of poor quality: if it is in use, that is enough.". As i stated in the deletion request this file was in use(until deletion) in ru.wikinews.org/wiki/Как_должна_одеваться_мусульманка%3F. So File in use on an article, file in scope. File in scope, invalid reason to delete. Invalide reason to delete, undelete the file. Simple and quick. Tm (talk) 21:00, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

@Tm: The reason I mentioned that DR was the concensus was that uploading a file and putting on a WP or other page is not enough for it to be kept on commons. The feeling is that INUSE doesn't apply as too many one time users are uploading files solely to get a picture of themselves on the web. Feel to request an undeletion Gbawden (talk) 06:12, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
@Tm: The article in RU Wikinews had this image since its origin in 2014, created by an user that is still active, after 5 years. The uploader was not the one that added the image to this article. So what "uploading a file and putting on a WP or other page is not enough for it to be kept on commons" applies to this image? File was in legitimate use, so a speedy undeletion is in order, per Commons:Project_scope#File_in_use_in_another_Wikimedia_project. Tm (talk) 06:17, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi colleague, you closed Commons:Deletion requests/File:Audrey Hepburn on her son, Sean.ogg with a "delete", but the file is still there and the talkpage-note says "kept". Was there any last-minute-change or can the file be deleted? --Túrelio (talk) 09:17, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Your deletion request of Kirill Troussov 70-1-50.jpg and three more of my photos

Dear Gbawden,

On August 22, 2018 you filed a deletion request for the following photos, which I shot personally and uploaded to WikiCommons in 2015: Kirill Troussov 70-1-50.jpg, Kirill Troussov 6.jpg, Kirill Troussov 70.jpg and Kirill Troussov 26.jpg. Only hours later, before I could react, these files were deleted by Ellen Beltz. As I would like to upload new photos (and restore the ones that were deleted) I would like to understand why my photos were deleted.

Some information for you: I am a professional photographer. The photos that were deleted show the German violinist Kirill Troussov. They are also being used on the artist's website and in other places. As you can see in the legal disclaimer on Kirill Troussov's website (https://troussov.com/en/legal.php) all my photos of Kirill Troussov are free to use, according to Creative Commons license CC BY-SA 4.0. Therefore I do not understand why my photos have been deleted from WikiCommons.

I hope your answer will help me to avoid a repetition of this problem in the future.

Thanks, Marco — Preceding unsigned comment added by MarcoBorggreve (talk • contribs) 10:59, 15 May 2019 (UTC)

@MarcoBorggreve: Hi. There was some doubt about the permission to use the photos. I will undelete them. In future please add the link to the CC permissions in the file description Gbawden (talk) 11:04, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
@Gbawden: Many thanks for your fast answer and for undeleting the files. I would just like to understand one detail: When a file is uploaded I must choose which CC it falls under. This is then displayed under the photo. I thought this would be sufficient. Do you mean I need to add an additional link that confirms this CC on another website? (you obviously did this now by adding the link I sent you). Thanks for your help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MarcoBorggreve (talk • contribs) 11:15, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
@MarcoBorggreve: It is always best when you are uploading a file to provide a link to the license. If someone searches for the photo with google they could find it on your website and assume that it had been taken from there without permission. Gbawden (talk) 11:22, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
@Gbawden: Thanks for this helpful advice. I will do that in the future. Have a great day! — Preceding unsigned comment added by MarcoBorggreve (talk • contribs) 11:29, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
@Gbawden: Sorry, I just noticed that I forgot to mention one file in the list above: Please also undelete Kirill Troussov 6-1-50.jpg. Thank you. MarcoBorggreve (talk) 12:25, 15 May 2019 (UTC)

Question

Is the comment underneath [1] fine for Commons? Wumbolo (talk) 09:16, 13 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi. It would be best if he changed the license on flickr to CC and then we upload the file with Flickr2commons. Gbawden (talk) 09:18, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
I understand. I've already asked him to send an email to OTRS, that seems fine. Wumbolo (talk) 09:20, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
So he sent an email with the permission to OTRS now, but got a reply that it is insufficient. I have forwarded the emails to you. Please take a look and tell me what went wrong if you can. Thanks, Wumbolo (talk) 18:21, 16 May 2019 (UTC)

Deletion Request

This discussion is regarding a deletion request reportedly been uploaded through copyright.

Dear Gbawden, you have suggested deleting more files/photos that have been handed to me by General Bobetko's family, and just to support a certain claim in the text. These photos are sources, there are documents in his family's possession that I have permission to use them as my own. I have a written confirmation from Mr. Dragan Bobetko.

So there are no license problems here.

It says "Deleted: per nomination". Which wouldn't make much sense, because "Obsolete, outdated" are usually no valid reasons for deletion. (and make no sense for this image in general) You did keep the image though, so I guess script error? - Alexis Jazz ping plz 09:53, 17 May 2019 (UTC)

Unknown question by me. File:Li-wei.jpg has metadata, and in other cases that I have seen they have not retained their metadata, so this does not closely align with taken from FB. I would like to see permissions request rather than a direct CV.  — billinghurst sDrewth 09:18, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

Underwood typewriter with Cyrillic

Hello.
This was, firstly, not Criterion 3 – letters are obviously Cyrillic. Secondly, the request was plainly wrong – see user_talk: Nikola_Smolenski #Underwood. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 09:58, 31 May 2019 (UTC)

@Incnis Mrsi: Hi. My apologies. I assumed good faith on this one. Thanks for alerting me Gbawden (talk) 11:14, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
Nothing requiring apologies, but this is a question of competence, not faith. A peer review should be functional. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 11:24, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
  • (talk page stalker) While a keyboard showing the very distinctive letter "Њ" on its very first position (followed by a no less distinct and also trivially non-Russian "Ј") is very much obviously a matter of competence, a much lower level of said competence would inform you that the Russian alphabet is a subset of the whole letter repertoire of the Cyrillic script and therefore the renaming request, even if not readily recognizable by Gbawden as a ruse or mistake should have been immadiately rejected on the grounds that it was meant as an improvement of an acceptable filename, which fails to meed any COM:FR requirement. Now, with a 2nd rename enacted, we risk a cascade of further such filename improvements, with nitpickers demanding further corrections of the still misleading name as this is not the current Serbian keyboard, or that this could also be used for Macedonian (since some of the keycaps are unreadable in the photo), or that a date must be added to the filename as to reflect othography changes in Serbian, and so forth. Nothing of that sort would be argueable should the orginal filname was kept or reinstated, as this photo does show a typewriten with a Cyrillic keyboard — and period. -- Tuválkin 12:19, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
@Tuvalkin: Macedonian doesn’t have Ћ and alike, having Ќ, Ѓ instead (which aren’t obviously printable with the machine depicted). Incnis Mrsi (talk) 12:39, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
  • You know that, I know that, Gbawden probably didn’t but now does — but most admins faced with a FR request likely don’t and it’s not reasonable to demand they do: It is certainly less reasonable than to expect all admins can recognize a gathering of cyrillic letters without knowing finicky details about which othorgraphies used which individual letter. That’s my point, though — the current filename, unlike the original, opens the floodgates for further FR requests which might need from the evaluating admin a deeper knowledge of the subject. This of course is but a specific instance of a wider problem, and that’s why the current formulation of reason number 2 is deterimental for a smooth process. -- Tuválkin 14:18, 31 May 2019 (UTC)

Please look carefully - that is NOT the image that was posted on Instagram. It is one of a series of photos that the Instagram image was taken from. I am Gina Stewart's partner in production and do all of her photo work. I specifically uploaded a different image than the one on instagram because of this very issue. This is not a copyright violation in any way.

Infraction aux droits d'auteur

Hi. I recently had a message from yourself regarding pictures uploaded and about copyright. Those pictures were from the website http://motors.all-free-photos.com and it is clearly stated on the website that the rights for those pictures is CC BY-NC-SA 2.5. It isn't sufficient for commons?--Tique (talk) 18:05, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

@Tique: Hi. The following notice appears at the bottom of the website :Copyright © 2008-2019 all-free-photos.com | All Rights Reserved so not cpmpatible with Commons Gbawden (talk) 06:10, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
@Gbawden: If you look on the front page, there is Information licence. It is said in french : Toutes les photos de ce site sont sous licence Creative Commons. L'utilisation et la diffusion non-commerciale de ces photos sont libres à la simple condition d'indiquer leur origine: www.all-free-photos.com. In English, it means : All photos on this site are under Creative Commons license. The use and non-commercial distribution of these photos are free on the simple condition to indicate their origin : www.all-free-photos.com.
@Tique: Hi. I found the license you mentioned. The license is Creative Commons by-nc-sa 2.5 - The NC means non commercial which is incompatible with Commons. Commercial use of the work must be allowed - see COM:L Gbawden (talk) 06:04, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
@Gbawden: Hi. I did contact the owner of the website and asked him if he is ok to have his picture on commons. He told me yes and he will change the licence on his website. Meanwhile, I did forward the email to the relevant wiki's people in order to reactivate the pictures that have been desactivated.--Tique (talk) 16:09, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

NBR photo!

What the hell do you think you are doing!?

That image, of 1933 Poseidon, IS mine! I took it, as I work on the NBR and do a lot of photography there too.

So on what grounds is this an infringement of copywriter? It's my image. It's got nowt to do with "AP Photography", whomever that is...!

So, withdraw your deletion request and all this can be blown over. If you want evidence, then you can get in touch with the NBR, yourself.

Phil Phil 62005 (talk) 11:10, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

@Phil 62005: . First, please be civil. Its a cornerstone of Commons - see COM:CIVIL. Secondly, the exif clearly says the author is ANGELA PARKER PHOTOGRAPHY. Therefore there is reasonable doubt about your claim of own work on this photo, hence the nomination for deletion Gbawden (talk) 11:33, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Gina Stewart

You deleted File:Gina Stewart wearing silver sandals and black blazer in car.jpg as copyvio. How does the newly uploaded File:Gina-Stewart-silver-shoes-black-dress-in-car-02-unpublished.jpg compare? They appear to have the same uploader and if I'm remembering correctly are the same photo but with a different resolution, but I can't find anything on his user talk about the previous image. Yngvadottir (talk) 13:29, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

@Yngvadottir: thanks for picking that up. I merely processed a Copyvio - if someone doesn't tag it the admins don't know about it. I have tagged the one you pointed out Gbawden (talk) 13:47, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Deletion of my photos

Hello!

Looks like you deleted all my uploads. Please revert this action as I the Author of all of them had the right to license them for Commons however I wished ;) Also please note that in contrary to statements in discussion: [Commons:Deletion_requests/Files_uploaded_by_V-spectrum] those particular ones were not shared on my website, not published with original sizing in other places then here...

And finally nobody contacted me on my e-mail from my website to ask for confirmation if this account is actually me.

I hope you gonna resolve problem as soon as possible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by V-spectrum (talk • contribs) 20:45, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

@V-spectrum: Hi. The issue is not whether or not you are the photographer - the issue is this statement on your site "NO IMAGES FOUND ON THIS PROFILE OR ANY WEBSITE WHERE MY IMAGES APPEAR MAY BE USED FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION." Commons requires images to be licensed for commercial use - please see COM:L. These terms are incompatible with Commons hence the deletion Gbawden (talk) 06:22, 1 July 2019 (UTC)

Hello!

You are 100% wrong. I have right to release every my creation on any number of licenses at the same time. Keep in mind that there were pictures uploaded different then on my blog. I decided to upload to Commons following CC-BY-SA license but at the same time I have full right to have different rights on my blog. Please also respond on my talk page for me to know you are responding.

Please undelete all my uploads ASAP. --V-spectrum (talk) 20:04, 1 July 2019 (UTC)

We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry. If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Where’s the cropped image I uploaded to replace the blurry shot, showing only the train? -- Tuválkin 06:59, 4 July 2019 (UTC)

@Tuvalkin: Hi. Which one was it? The concensus was to delete the first 2 and retain the 3rd, which I did Gbawden (talk) 07:03, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
  • The consensus was to keep two images: The original full scene in best quality and a cropped version of it showing only the train — which I uploaded. I cannot see deleted images, so I cannot say what was the filename, as I used CropTool on the fly. I do know it was a JPEG, as the original is too. -- Tuválkin 19:38, 4 July 2019 (UTC)

@Soy Socialista: Hi. Please provide proof that it is Public Domain. You claimed it as own work Gbawden (talk) 12:49, 17 July 2019 (UTC)
@Gbawden: is that I do not know how to place it in the public domain since the only thing it says is its own work, it is public domain since it says it on the page of the Bolivarian Navy--Soy Socialista (talk) 12:57, 17 July 2019 (UTC)

Hi there, I'm the OTRS agent reviewing this one. I've tagged it for speedy deletion as I've examined the OTRS ticket in question and determined it doesn't meet the CC-BY-SA license they uploaded it through as, but they've uploaded a new image which does meet the criteria, so I think this one can now be deleted. File:ROHAN MEHRA.jpg

Regarding File:ROHAN MEHRA.jpg, you made a decision to keep the file as it was in use when nominated at Commons:Deletion requests/Files uploaded by Sheetal parmar. I as going to nominate the file and there was a message indicating the file has previously been nominated and that I should contact the admin who made the decision before proceeding. The reason I was going to nominate the file was lack of permission is that the claim to being the copyright holder is not credible given the plodder's history of copyright issues. Commons:Undeletion requests/Archive/2019-02#File:ROHAN MEHRA.jpg, Commons:Undeletion requests/Archive/2018-06#File:ROHAN MEHRA.jpg, Commons:Undeletion requests/Archive/2018-09#File:ROHAN MEHRA.jpg all show that he has taken images from the Internet and claimed he has permission but has never followed up with proof via OTRS despite being told multiple times. Do you have any objections to me nominating this file again? Net steps? Thanks. -- Whpq (talk) 18:00, 26 July 2019 (UTC)

help with courtesy removal of images uploaded by mistake

Greetings. I write to you in the opportunity to congratulate you for the work that you do in wikimedia with the elimination of images, in turn I request your good offices in order to effect the elimination of courtesy of the photographs motivated to the fact that they are personal photographs that They are not within the scope of the wikimedia project, they are not educational, they can represent self-publicity and some have details of intellectual property violation.

@Panopticon.exe: Done Gbawden (talk) 06:12, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
@Gbawden: Thanks for helping with this; unfortunately, however, I don't think the aforementoned license change at the bottom of the aforementioned website (blackedgeconsulting.com) is going to be sufficient to accept this file as {{Cc-by-sa-4.0}} for Commons or Wikipedia purposes. I tried to explain this to the uploader at en:User talk:Panopticon.exe, but they still haven't addressed the issue. I don't think Commons should really be keeping this without OTRS verification per COM:PCP, unless the uploader changes the licensing on their website to something Commmons accepts. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:23, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
