Hello Eugene Zelenko. You want to delete my work on my site "Aktiveslernen HSG". All the files are relevant for our survey we have done. Its a survey about medicine at the university of St. Gallen. The survey and the interview i have uploaded is my own work! I need this file to link it in an intern Wiki-Page. That's a part of a writing exam. I really need this file to pass the exam. Hello! I found that there are 3 photos deleted: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Deletion_requests/Files_uploaded_by_AndreyVorobyov These are historical photos from an archive of Nizhny Novgorod Drama Theatre. (http://drama.nnov.ru/about/gallery/?ItemID=1969). These photos kindly gave to the theatre a family of the actor to be shown on the memory desk for public. What can I do to restore them? Thank you!

There is an other photo, a scan from the book "20 years of Nizhny Novgorod Drama Theatre" (http://mytashkent.uz/2012/12/16/dramaticheskij-teatr-imeni-m-gorkogo-1954-god/). Is it maybe better to use this photo to illustrate an article?

Russian copyrights law protect copyrights for 70 years after death of author (if known) with some extensions for authors who fought in GPW or was repressed. Photos could be restored if this term was expired and they become public domain. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:10, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

• Спасибо! Но как лучше сделать? Искать автора фотографий через театр или попросить наследников актёра загрузить фото? У них же должны быть права владельцев на эти фотографии?
• И ещё вопрос - если фотограф работал(а) при театре по трудовому договору за зарплату, согласно Российскому законодательству (ст.1295 ГК) исключительное право на использование служебного авторского произведения принадлежит работодателю, т.е. театру, при чём здесь автор фотографии - фотограф? Или семье умершего актёра, например, если они заплатили автору за фото? Согласно законодательству РФ не всегда фото принадлежит фотографу. Посоветуйте, пожалуйста, как корректно сделать в данной ситуации.
• Ещё возник вопрос: если я обрабатал эти фотографии в Фотошопе, регулировал яркость, цвет, размер, другие параметры,что самое важное, убирал царапины и трещины, то это получилось уже отдельное произведение, соответственно, я полагаю, у меня есть права со-автора, вовлечённого в процесс? Сейчас многие фотографы специально берут человека, который будет редактировать фото в Фотошопе, при этом, они считаются на равных со-авторами. В этом случае, если я докажу с помощью файла EXIF, что старые фотографии были обработаны программой мною, то тогда можно будет восстановить удалённые фотографии?

Вы правы, есть много нюансов, и их надо уточнить. Лучше всего будет связаться с теми, кто публиковал фотографии. Возможно, в книгах было больше информации. Семейные фотографии скорее всего были работой по найму.

Трудно сказать про восстановление однозначно. В США улучшения не создают новых прав (w:ru:Bridgeman Art Library против Corel).

Надо выяснить, находятся ли фотографии в общественном достоянии. Конечно, Вы можете подать заявку на восстановление, но без предыдущего условия их не восстановят. Права принадлежат наследникам, а это не обязательно == семья. Наследники могут послать разрешение в Commons:OTRS (пример: Commons:Email templates). New to Uploading Images

I am new to uploading images on Wikimedia and learned that you nominated four of my uploads for deletion due to lack of information. Please let me know what information I need to add. Thank you.

David Smukler is my great-uncle and the picture is from my private family collection. The original photographer of the picture is unknown, but I believe that the picture was taken in Gloversville, NY in the early 1930's.

The image of the John Willis Griffiths oil portrait was taken in Massachusetts by my colleague. He does not have his own Wikimedia account and asked me to upload the image for him. John Willis Griffiths died in 1882, so the portrait is at least 132 years old.

I took both of these images at the New York Public Library and have already added the information to the summaries.

That seems to me to fit the definition of "This image or file is a work of a U.S. Air Force Airman or employee, taken or made as part of that person's official duties. All i know is when i click on no copyright restrictions on http://www.lifeofvids.com/ it redirects me to here http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/ but when i went to the vimeo site https://vimeo.com/128584874 on the vimeo website they used the Creative Commons attrubition lisence http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ they used the CC0 1.0 Universal (CC0 1.0) and the Attribution 3.0 Unported (CC BY 3.0) on the same exact video

i had it duel licensed doing this i hope it removes any confusion from earlier you can look at the page here File:Escalator-HD.ogv but i also put the duel license i used i would recommend doing this for life of vids videos since they use both {{Cc-zero}} {{Cc-by-3.0}}

Будь добр подскажи какие параметры для заливки скриншотов\персонажей из игр мне надо ставить при заливке, чтобы ничего не могло быть удалено в будущем. Hey EugeneZelenko! I need to confess something. I wasn't the best user because I wasn't quiet mature. I uploaded pictures without my senses. I was blocked from the English Wikipedia but now I am not because I explained by idiotic behavior because I was a little kid. For instance, those pictures you nominated to delete were of my grandparents. But before that I did upload pictures without the proper info or rights because I was a kid! Well, they're respected people in a small town in Ecuador. I took these photos. One of them was before one died and the other one suffers from Alzheimer's. Я хочу создать страницу о Наталье Магнат (соответствующий стаб уже существует). Она была одной из основательниц организации "Левая школа" (https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9B%D0%B5%D0%B2%D0%B0%D1%8F_%D1%88%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%BB%D0%B0). Умерла в 1997 году. У меня есть файл с её фотографией на документ, скорее всего на паспорт. Могу ли я загрузить его и использовать на странице Википедии, посвящённой ей? Заранее благодарю за совет и за помощь!

В РФ срок охраны авторских прав - 70 лет. Если фотография "моложе" или фотограф (если известен) жив/умер позже, то фотография не перешла в общественное достояние. Видимо, мы смотрим на какие-то два разных изображения? На нём английским языком написано, что картинка передаётся в общественное достояние. Написал это автор, так как идёт ссылка на источник. SVG Help

Hey, Eugene I saw your post on my image that I uploaded, so you said to make the files .SVG. So I went online and searched for .PNG to .SVg converts, the three images I tried to convert did not turn out well (the one that I already posted 2 others that I'm planning to post). I tried two out of the three, one had a completely black screen the other was a half-half black-white thing. Why is this happening? And how can I fix it?

Здравствуйте! Предложенные фотографии на удаление - это фотографии со статей, напечатанных в Газете за Науку В Сибири. На сайте этой газеты указано "При перепечатке материалов или использовании опубликованной в «НВС» информации ссылка на газету обязательна" http://www.sbras.ru/HBC/index.phtml?lang=ru. У меня везде указана ссылка на газету. Это касается и газеты "Советская Сибирь". Я сделала фотографии статей умершего человека, т.к. газеты, пока, еще не сделали весь свой архив цифровым.

Предлагается также уничтожить фотографии ученого, который работал в коллективе. И у каждого члена коллектива есть его фотографии, ведь это обычная человеческая жизнь.

Пожалуйста, подскажите, что нужно сделать (самое простое), чтобы творчество и жизнь советского и русского ученого была достойно представлена в Википедии.

Перепечатка и использование - термины обтекаемые, которые могут не подразумевать использования в любых целях. К тому же, трудно сказать работал ли в газете учёный, или его статьи - самостоятельное творчество, т. е. газета не имеет права ими распоряжаться. В общем случае в РФ авторские права охраняются 70 лет после смерти автора.

Вы можете попросить фотографов и наследников учёного и послать разрешения в Commons:OTRS (пример: Commons:Email templates). Потом Вы можете попросить помощи на Commons:OTRS/Noticeboard с проверкой разрешения.

Why? It's an album cover. I see them all over Wikipedia in the music section. Just because rookies/newbies don't have the silly documentation needed for such things, why change it? Or is it too hard for the pros to look stuff up and help newbies out?

Зважаючи на це я хотів би отримати вичерпне та арґументоване пояснення з цього приводу. Певно варто зазначити що всі світлини - власноруч зроблені мною і я є свідком а подекуди дієвцем подій, зображених на них. Також мене цікавить процедура видалення та перевірки світлин а також зважаючи на які відомості чи скутки Ви видалили завантажені мною файли. ну это скорее к видео, а не к логотипам программ относится. Как тогда другие проекты википедии используют логотипы в описании на своих страницах? Потому что, если следовать такой логике, то в принципе логотипы нельзя грузить? А они есть везде в шаблонах??

I don't quite understand, why this depiction was deleted. I do not see that it matches any of the other projects of WikiMedia (if so, please tell me which one) and I do think that it matches the scope of Wiki Commons: it is for an educational purpose (sorry, but do you understand the text in the diagram? Do you speak German?) and helps to systematize the different kinds of intercultural training methods that exist. In this respect it matches exactly the description of the template that you posted on my site: "Commons ist eine Sammlung von Mediendateien, einschließlich Fotos, Diagrammen, Animationen, Musik, gesprochenen Textes und Videos, die zur Illustration einer Enzyklopädie verwendet werden können." And will help explain Interculturalism, an important topic on Wikipedia.

here's some advice:

1. Please be patient. Not all people spend 24 hours per day on Wikis. I am about to integrate some of the media on Wikipedia. I find, that it is a bit harsh to delete one of my pictures after not even a day. (By the way: the pictures are also in use on a Wiki project of e renowned German university that is trying to build a complimentary wiki for intercultural learning http://www.iwkwiki.uni-jena.de/index.php/Hauptseite)
2. Please help me. I fully understand the advantage of svg files, but I do not have the time or the knowledge to change them. I think that the images do have a purpose as pixel graphics also and I do not recall a policy that enforces svg files on WikiCommons
3. Please be tolerant, if you do not understand the language and hence the purpose of these graphics, then please let those people on wikiCommoms do the job that do understand it. Sorry, but it seems that you are trying to aggregate counts more than anything else.

Or do you have any different views on any of this?

Hiya! When you say "could be found on websites" in Deletion Nominations, would it be possible for you to include the URL of the site you found it on? It's really a nuisance to have to duplicate the Google-images search to find what you already say "could be" found. In English "could" doesn't mean "was found", it only means "it might be possible to find". Thus my concern about your nominations. Did you indeed find these images, and if so, please provide the URL, otherwise, I don't have confidence that the image indeed was found, only that it might have been found. Cheers! Via OTRS we will never be able to verify whether this work is completely original or not. Currently we have quite a satisfactory situation in which the owner of a third party site explicitly stated that it was completely original work and licensed it under a free license. I've restored the file and used the licensereview tag to indicate that the license was present. I do not see how OTRS can be used in this occasion, there is a ticket at OTRS but that does not provide further validation than this discussion here does. In my opinion we should have some real doubt about the characters being in other licensed content for this file to be deleted, but that seems more the topic of a deletion request discussion. Bots/Requests

Hi, thanks for your answer in the Bots/Requests page. I wanted to clarify a little what I am asking: I was wondering whether it's possible to have something like the flood status enabled on Commons, for some of these category maintenance tasks. So, I didn't want to make a bot, just to hide these category classification edits from the RC, to avoid to flood them. Now, I reckon that it's easy to abuse of this flag and I fully understand if other users discourage it even if this kind of "editing status" is available on some other projects for these kind of tasks. Please do not delete. This is from a book. The author has granted permission to share alike. It is VERY USEFUL and has been added to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_intuitionism

Sorry, if I missed you question. It's depend on logo. You could upload public domain, freely licensed one (see Commons:Licensing) or trivial geometry/text ones. Otherwise you could try to get copyrights owner permission in Commons:OTRS. Regarding my file Karsoni1.png (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Karsoni1.png) being up for deletion because of copyright issues, I had cited the original image creator verbatim during upload, which I reproduce here:

If this still leaves doubts that the material is not suitable, I will not object to its deletion. I had uploaded this to augment the article Suriyani_Malayalam, but I have subsequently found a way to do without the image and use Unicode characters instead. Where required, I have created a few pngs for characters not in Unicode.

You don't need to use images fro tables. Please read w:en:Help:Table.

What concern permission, it's not clear, particularly term use. Please ask them to use license compatible with Commons:Licensing.

I did photograph those sweatpants pictures.

The fact that they were also uploaded to different sites doesn't mean that I didn't take the pictures. The fact that I used a phone for one picture and a DSLR for another doesn't mean that I didn't shoot them. I did shoot them.
