Duration of this poll[edit]

One week is too short for this important issue where still much discussion is needed. I've been bold and incremented the duration to 4 weeks. -- Bryan (talk to me) 21:19, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be dead by then. How about 3? Kaldari (talk) 21:40, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's not enough that we have to suppress a very active discussion and abandon comparing the strength of arguments in favour of voting on whether or not to obey the law? We have to rush it too? What's the adjective to prefix my vote with in order to express the strongest and bestest support for whichever option I choose? What a farce. LX (talk, contribs) 22:08, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I guess you should add extra cheese to your vote :) Honestly, the poll might come somewhat early and rushed but at the end we will need a decision. (I wish there would have been some preparation phase to discuss the actual alternatives, wordings, voting period etc.) We are no longer discussing the peculiarities of the sweat of the brow in UK case law but making up our minds whether we are ready to change our policies by relaxing the rules for {{PD-Art}} to conform with WMF's recommended policies. Anyway, please let this poll run at least for four weeks. I suggest to suspend all deletion requests in the context of PD-Art during this period. --AFBorchert (talk) 22:55, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is simply not true. See Commons_talk:When_to_use_the_PD-Art_tag#Board_position. Superm401 - Talk 02:06, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
