Files from Flickr in the name of MEA

Hello @Yann I just noticed that SantaClaraCOLOMBO and AlexisCdR have uploaded a few images here. The source they have mentioned reads Indian Ministry of External Affairs. From what I know, Indian govt doesn't release any files on flickr. Modi previously used Flickr but that too was in his personal capacity. Also all works of Govt of India are GODL. But these uploads are under different licenses. If flickr is an incorrect source plz let me know, I will try to find these images on PIB website and fix the file description so that we can keep it here. If not I will nominate them for SD. Uploading Image

Hello, Yann!

I want to consult if can upload a picture without a VRT? I want to upload a picture on the infobox of Bini (group) as Creative Commons Attributio-ShareAlike 4.0. I actually DM on their Twitter account where the picture was uploaded, however, the author on pinned post stated that

I have uploaded the File:The front page of the first issue of the Icelandic Magazine Neisti.jpg and got a message that it might get deleted. I tried to follow the way the file:Klassekampen no 1 1969.jpg was uploaded as these are both of front pages of magazines. @PatojuanC: Hi, For these files, either the license is wrong, or there is no source to sustain your claim, or both. By default, everything is under a copyright until 80 years after the author's death (PD-Colombia). There is no exception for anthems and official symbols. In addition, even if the original symbol is in the public domain, a new rendering may be under a copyright. Please read Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Colombia and COM:DW. In that permission letter, there is a digitally signed document from the daughter of that architect (Alar Kotli, 1904–1963). Hi Yann,

Ping also @The Squirrel Conspiracy, A.Savin, and Aafi: ArionStar's user page has been blanked by RodRabelo7, without redirect. All the Revision history has disappeared. Is there any reason to delete this page at the moment? COM:MOVE says: "The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right." There may be a risk that the history gets lost, in case that the User talk:ArionStar/Archive 2 gets blanked too, and then nominated for deletion per {{Empty page}} or similar template for speedy deletion. Although I would be okay editors helping others in archive content from talk-pages, it doesn't seem appropriate to use the move function to entirely move a talk-page, leaving behind no history at that place. I have reverted this move and left a note on RodRabelo7's talk page. COM:MOVE doesn't apply here. However, a general advise is Archive rather than delete.
