I would like to create the first two (2) for Commons:WikiProject Numismatics and the third (3rd) is for an upcoming Commons:WikiProject Books. Many users don't understand Commons:Currency I would like to keep an eye on new numismatic uploads but if it would create too many files would like to split the first suggestion into one for Category:Coins and Category:Banknotes, respectively. I will try to model it after User:Chumwa/OgreBot and in case I wrote the wikicode wrong please improve it, probably I would like to have a separate gallery for every 8 (eight) 5 (five) days (similar to User:Chumwa/OgreBot/Public transport information) and have the filenames visible. @Donald Trung: I don't know how well your exonumia gallery is going to work, because it's grabbing all the medal recipients, which is like every important person ever, along with the things associated with them. @Magog the Ogre: , thank you very much for your patience, I noticed a similar trend in the PDF files gallery where I seem to have a lot of India-related images though I haven't been able to isolate which category to exclude, but I don't really have that much issue patrolling those extra files. Exonumia

Thanks for removing it, I think that it's too large of a gallery to exclude categories from, I've attempted to find exclusions but as you said every medal recipient is in that so it's best to not create that gallery. @Magog the Ogre We need to start with exclusions, let's try the following:
BTW, I have a question for you. The first day the updater failed as it found 13784 files. I checked the logs and saw that Category:Virtual reality was the main one to blame, and Category:The Walt Disney Company‎ as the secondary one. So I attempted to fix it temporarily and in the second day got 15248 files mainly via Category:Video game development which comes as a surprise as the first day I did not notice anything via this subcategory. It is possible that there are actually many more files in the selection and the uploader is failing around 14k/15k? I have been trying to use PetScan to identify more subcategories to exclude but it is timing out for depth over 7 and my gallery has a depth that seems to go 11 or 12 levels down.I thanks you in advance for your patience as I am sure this will require more fine tuning.--Cabeza2000 (talk) 18:18, 22 November 2018 (UTC)

@Magog the Ogre It does not seem to be working. Today the bot did not write in my talk page with an error, but it did not create the gallery. I ran PetScan matching the same category, including the negative categories, for file uploads yesterday (Nov 23) but limited to depth 3 for convenience and I do see results. Here is the PSID if you want to check. To give you an example, this file, created yesterday with Category:Video games as one of the categories, should match my gallery. I've considered redoing it but I haven't been able to think up a good format which is both user-friendly and won't break the entire document in case of an error (YAML, maybe?). @Magog the Ogre: Apparently all of these galleries/category-trees contain the same works are are all too large, I think that it would be best to remove them for now, I will try to find more specific sub-categories later, but for now I don't think that I could narrow it down without creating too narrow and "essentially useless" pages to inspect as I can't predict the popularity of uploads and would have to organise them by either week or month.
