Thanks for uploading File:Faug00.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Faug00.jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

File:2022 elections in indian states.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. Thanks for uploading File:Chirag Kumar.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Karnataka Elections

204: Mangalore(Ullal) Constituency is marked saffron, but it is won by INC it must be blue 42.105.118.107 10:41, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Request you change the markings and update them as per the ECI website. Constituencies 78, 132, 154, and 199 have been won by the BJP but in your map, they are marked as won by JDS (78 & 132) and INC (154 & 199). (https://results.eci.gov.in/ResultAcGenMay2023/partywiseresult-S10.htm) FlyJet777 (talk) 15:29, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have duly noted your request to update the map and reflect the correct information from the ECI website. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, and I will make the necessary changes to ensure accurate representation of the election results. Nitesh003 (talk) 16:07, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for your attention to the matter. Also, I wanted to ask you that could you tell me the name of the software you use to make these maps? Thank you. FlyJet777 (talk) 16:26, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The software I use to create these maps is Inkscape. Nitesh003 (talk) 16:32, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again. There's a slight change required in the map. ECI yesterday declared BJP the winner of Constituency No 173 by 16 votes. Please make the required change. Thank you. FlyJet777 (talk) 05:50, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Nitesh003,

thanks for your map of the 2023 MP assembly election. I would prefer a fully language-neutral map, i.e., without an English inscription ("Bhartiya Janata Party", "Indian National Congress", "Others", "2023 Madhya Pradesh Legislative"), that could better be used in non-English Wikipedia versions. The map legend should be outside the map. What do you think? --Furfur Diskussion 08:51, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm in favor of your suggestion, and I want to apologize for my delayed response. Designing a language-neutral map without English words and relocating the legend outside the map is a great idea, especially for non-English Wikipedia versions. Nitesh003 (talk) 16:50, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also can you use the updated MP constituencies map here? The current one you are using has inaccurate constituency borders (such as Indore). C1MM (talk) 17:41, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've updated the map to reflect accurate constituency borders. Nitesh003 (talk) 10:36, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

@Nitesh003 Hope you are doing well. Can you please prepare a map in Lok Sabha map for me? Although it is an experiment, it will be very helpful if you do it. Use the following colour codes :  Communist Party of India (Unified Marxist-Leninist)  People's Socialist Party  Vanchit Bahujan Samaj Party  Aam Aadmi Party  Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam  Nationalist Congress Party  Bharat Rashtra Samithi  Telugu Desam Party  Rashtriya Loktantrik Party  Jana Sena Party  Indian National Lok Dal  Rashtriya Lok Dal  Jammu & Kashmir National Conference  Akali Dal  Kerala Congress (Secular)  Asom Gana Parishad  Zoram People's Movement  Sikkim Democratic Front  Jammu & Kashmir People's Democratic Party Template:Party legend

Get data from User:XYZ_250706/sandbox6 in Wikipedia and replace Socialist Party of India (SPI) with People's Socialist Party (PSP) and All India Scheduled Castes and Minorities Federation (AISCMF) with Vanchit Bahujan Samaj Party (VBSP) (in your map only) where I have not done so. Add abbreviations of party also (Use AAP instead of AAAP). Use these colour codes only (Ignore if I used other colour code in sandbox). Only one map in Indian Lok sabha map is enough. XYZ 250706 (talk) 14:41, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mean I should create a map indicating the current ruling party in each Lok Sabha constituency? Nitesh003 (talk) 16:11, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Nitesh003 No.. Not like that... Make a map with colour of parties a/c to data given in my wikipedia sandbox and colour codes given to you. XYZ 250706 (talk) 13:57, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In each constituency... XYZ 250706 (talk) 14:18, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Nitesh003 Also please read my before-said advices for making map if you decide to make it. XYZ 250706 (talk) 15:50, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is no data in your sandbox, and I still don't understand what you're trying to say. Nitesh003 (talk) 02:59, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:XYZ_250706/sandbox6 XYZ 250706 (talk) 09:11, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Nitesh003 Use this data. XYZ 250706 (talk) 09:11, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Nitesh003 In some cases I have used Socialist Party of India. Replace it (in your map) by People's Socialist Party. And in same way replace All India Scheduled Caste and Minorities Federation (AISCMF) by Vanchit Bahujan Samaj Party (VBSP). To make the map use the colour codes given to you in your talk page. Question

[edit]

Hey! I am just wondering how did you make the electoral map for the https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:2023_Rajasthan_election_result.svg As i am also planning on making one and was wondering which source you used. Thanks in advance! Regards, Naren.Ayinala — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 2405:201:C407:400B:E024:5810:8DA5:7AD6 (talk) 09:19, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

2024 General Election - State Maps

[edit]

Can you please upload the Election Schedule .svg maps for other states as well?? Especially, for Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Union Territory of Delhi etc. Please respond. Rourib.2004 (talk) 13:32, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am currently creating state election schedule maps for states/UTs that have elections in two or more phases. In some states/UTs, such as Tamil Nadu and Delhi, elections will occur in a single phase, making it unnecessary to create schedule maps for them. I know that many state election pages still lack election schedule maps. I am already in the process of creating maps for these pages. It will take some time, but I will upload them when they are ready. Nitesh003 (talk) 14:09, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fine. Appreciate your efforts in this matter. Please try to make the maps for major states, first which are having multiple-phase elections, and then for those which may happen in a single phase, at last if you can. It would be great if all states of India have a proper .svg election schedule map. Regards. Rourib.2004 (talk) 19:35, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hey which website did you use to add the colours and edit the images? As i would also like to do the same. Thanks in advance! Naren.Ayinala (talk) 10:25, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the voter turnout

[edit]

hi, you've recently updated the voter turnout in the schedule map. However, as a result, the constituency numbers have been deleted. I've reverted back to the constituency numbers. So you can always create a new one with just voter turnout. Thanks. Manasbose (talk) 05:15, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
