Template maps?
[edit]Thank you for all the work you do in designing election maps for countries across the world. I have a question regarding them. Is there a place where the base maps can be found? Particularly the Indian ones, without any numbers and SC/ST seats marked. MrMkG (talk) 12:42, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hello MrMkG,
- I think that most assembly constituency maps can be found in the Category:Assembly constituency maps of Indian States and Union Territories. Most maps are SVG maps. You can easily remove the SC/ST marks and numbers using an SVG editor like Inkscape (freeware). Furfur ⁂ Diskussion 12:52, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
Correction request
[edit]Hello, Furfur.
Can you remove the yellow coloring of Persian from the map of Azerbaijan in the duplicates File:Iranian tongues de.svg, File:Iranian tongues eo.svg, File:Iranian tongues es.svg, File:Iranian tongues-nl.svg and File:Iranian tongues-tr.svg?
There are no Persian-speaking areas in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The only Iranian languages spoken natively on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan today are Talysh and Tat, which are separate languages, and which are shown in all these maps with their own colorings. See Languages of Azerbaijan.
The yellow color for Persian language was already removed in the original file File:Iranian tongues.svg and was uploaded without it in File:Iranian tongues (cropped).svg.

- Hello Moroike,
I understand. I will do it. Greetings --Furfur ⁂ Diskussion 23:03, 9 December 2024 (UTC)- Hello, Furfur.
- Thank you very much for the updates. Can you also update the Spanish duplicate File:Iranian tongues es.svg, which is the last map left? I have asked its original uploader Tyk, who said he/she couldn't do it, because he/she doesn't have inkspace on his/her computer. Tyk also recommended to go ahead with the request.
