~User:MariaAmaliaduchessadiParma

Portrait of H.M. King George V
[edit]Hi @Miss Mattërn. I found your upload, "File:Portrait of H.M. King George V (1911).jpg".
I believe you copied the description from File:King George V 1911.jpg. Your version has, by accident, my name. That is no problem. It has since been corrected by @DrKay.
My question is: Why did you upload this version? It looks more saturated, blurry, and lower resolution. The file "File:King George V 1911.jpg" is scanned from the original painting in the Royal Collection, and is not blurry.
GettyImages says this modified copy is from "The Lady's Newspaper, 1935". Are you planning to use this specific version on Wikipedia, perhaps? I am curious to learn what the purpose is for this particular modification. Thank you! Krinkle (talk) 19:53, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, mr. Krinkle
- I took the liberty of uploading that version, because in my opinion I found this version very well colored compared to that of the official version. if you would like to report any copyright problem but tell me immediately that I correct immediately, I would like that version to remain there for everyone :) a speech like this that I just made would find the answer den defined in my overload of a portrait of Edward VII :) --Miss Mattërn (talk) 23:03, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- The original is in the public domain due to its age. This modification, if it is copyrightable, seems likely not in the public domain. It was published in 1935. Was it published by a government under public domain, or by a company? For most works, copyright expires 70 years after the author has died. If the author was 30 in 1935 and for example died at age 90 in 1995, then it would become in the public domain in the year 2065. This is an example. More examples at Commons:Licensing#Material_in_the_public_domain. Krinkle (talk) 23:15, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Krinkle. Don't waste your time: it's yet another sock of LTA A3cb1, uploading bad quality images, artificially oversized files, copyvios, etc. He's now globally blocked, but you can freely delete the bad quality images you can find, and replace them with better versions. Cheers! Ruthven (msg) 19:16, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
