Hi, Thanks for trying to start again these 2 competitions. {{F-PC-VC-SC-Transporter}} is too flashy IMO. Could you please fix it? I would just remove the colors. Regards, Yann (talk) 13:58, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations! Statue of Hindu God Ganesha.jpg, which was produced by you, was reviewed and has now been promoted to Quality Image status.

If you would like to nominate another image, please do so at Quality images candidates.

We also invite you to take part in the categorization of recently promoted quality images.
Comments The photo seems a bit over-processed. The wires are also somewhat disturbing. But the quality is good enough for me.--Agnes Monkelbaan 04:58, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your efforts on Commons' featured content processes. Just curious what your motivation was and/or if you have future plans for them? (It's possible I missed a Village Pump thread or somesuch). — Rhododendrites talk20:44, 15 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@User:Rhododendrites, Actually it was not my Idea to re-start these 2 projects, I didn't even heard about these rusty projects before the discussion here, but Instead of discussing there I went on to start these project. And I'm actually in between a vacation (until 30th May), so I do have a lot of time & not much work to do that's why I started these 2 projects, my initial plan was to start only the FVC but because of enough time I started both. Yeah, I do have future plans for these 2 projects, specially the FSC which I guess will take-off this time (I'm not sure about the FVC). I plan to start SOTY(like POTY) and maybe VOTY(not sure, because of very few amount of videogrphers on commons). And I won't be able to reply for next 8hrs, it is about 2 AM where I live, need to go to bed. Thanks for your commendation -- Eatcha (Talk-Page) 21:16, 15 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I just wanted to say thanks for working on the FPC bot. It's been unmaintained for years and we've had to suffer through many inconveniences as a result. It's great that someone like you is finally looking into it. -- King of 17:23, 26 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Images in your test FP nomination

[edit]

Hi, wasn't the original issue for the FPCBot and your smiley that the image trips it up? You should include some images of different sizes (or only one after the other after the bot first made a count) in your recent test nomination. Or if you plan to add them later, you should clarify that in the nomination so other people following this aren't wondering about the same thing. – Lucas 21:52, 19 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lucas, Actually that Nom is only for testing the withdrawn function and smiley issue is not related to it. I'll add about 4 different noms to test more bugs separately including the smiley bug. Thanks -- Eatcha (Talk-Page) 03:56, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • All right. Also remember to test the bug that a FPX tag (maybe also FPD) followed by FPC-reviewed will not be archived by the bot, the FPX tag needs to be removed first to work or one would need to manually archive the nom. – Lucas 07:34, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your new signature

[edit]

Hi Eatcha, just a friendly heads up: You may want to re-consider your new signature per Commons:Signatures#Images_in_signature. All the best, and thanks for your work on FSC/FVC. El Grafo (talk) 08:10, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • +1 While you have fixed up the FPCBot so that it allows small images now, you don't know what other places it might cause thouble. It is also awkward since it has no direct link to your talk page, which is the page most people want. On this forum you don't distinguish yourself by having an eccentric signature, you do so with your actions. With all the good work you are doing here, you don't need all these signature-playing. ;-) --Cart (talk) 09:39, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@El Grafo and W.carter: I had no Idea that an image can be used to DOS the Wikimedia servers, just read about the buggy caching system that Mediawiki is using. Thanks for the heads up. -- Eatcha (talk) 16:11, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Eatcha/Archive 3, the following content you uploaded violates one or more of our policies and therefore has been or will soon be deleted:

File:A Millipede Unfolding and Walking Away.webm

The Wikimedia Commons (this website) only hosts media files with a realistic educational purpose and that can be used for any purpose, including:
  • use in any work, regardless of content
  • creation of derivative works
  • commercial use
  • free distribution

See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons, and Commons:Image casebook for some specific examples. Some other Wikimedia projects have different licensing policies. For example, the English Wikipedia allows fair use of sounds and photographs. This is not the case on Wikimedia Commons; "fair use" materials are not acceptable here.

Please make sure that you only upload educational content you have created yourself, those which are out of copyright, or those for which you have the required permission for the work to be used in all the ways described above. Please note that derivative works of copyrighted material are also considered copyrighted. Again, please read through Commons:Licensing, which is quite crucial, to understanding how Wikimedia Commons works. I am really sorry for the way I behaved. Apologies

[edit]
Hello Eatcha, I am very sorry to see what I assume to be the effect of my nominating some of your files for deletion. Please trust I meant no harm. I just tried to help clean up some mistakes I thought you had made by raising a community discussion on these matters. I would be delighted if you could accept to look at this from the collaborative perspective I meant. Nevertheless, I sincerely apologize for any aggravation caused. Please trust this was not my intent. Kind regards, — Racconish💬 06:55, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Racconish, I was getting mad by emails that I received in the late-night(GMT +9) due to these deletions and I had no Idea how to change email address on Wikimedia (I found nothing at https://www.google.com/search?q=change+wikimedia+email , I now know it can be changed from preference ) and when Taivo started reverting my Speedy deletion requests I had to delete my email-address as my phones were ringing non-stop, I use automatic email forwarding which worsened this. Therefore this wasn't effect of you nominating some of my files for deletion, but the media-wiki software which I don't know how to use properly as I'm still a new user and I was very sleepy. Sorry for behaving in such a silly way. However, this is no excuse for the Speedy deletions that I filed that day. Regards, -- Eatcha (talk) 13:21, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for this kind answer. I think I would not be the only one who would be happy if you would reconsider your decision. — Racconish💬 13:57, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Code issues in User:Eatcha/common.js

Curious about the reason? Possibly not but I will tell you anyway:

  1. You edited User:Eatcha/common.js. Glad to see you coding in javascript! Have you ever considered becoming a MediaWiki hacker?
  2. Though, that change appears to introduce 1 new esprima issue — the page's status is now having ERRORS. Note that invalid or ambiguous code often has unwanted side effects like breaking other tools for you. If you cannot find out how to fix it, I suggest blanking the page for now.
  3. To help you understanding where the issues are, I have aggregated a report here and now. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask users experienced in javascript writing for help. But do not ask the bot's operators (chronically overwrought) unless you suspect an error of mine. If you prefer not getting spammed by me, you can opt-out reports by adding {{ValidationOptOut|type=all}} to your user page or cmb-opt-out anywhere on your your global user page on Meta. Good luck at Wikimedia Commons and happy hacking!

Hello Eatcha.

You have uploaded one or more files that are copyright violations. You have done so despite requests from editors not to do so, and despite their instructions. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter useful.

This is your last warning. The next time you upload a file that violates copyright, you will be blocked. Please leave me a message if you have further questions.

Krd, I nominated some of my files that I doubt now (after reading the the OTRS reply from Alex). I will try to nominate more files. -- Eatcha (talk) 14:43, 20 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notification about possible deletion

[edit]
Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
