Hi, thanks for reviewing this file. Do you believe it would be suitable to transfer it to wikipedia.org? It is used in a significant number of articles across global wikis. @Daylon124: I think that transferring it English Wikipedia would be fine, since Wikipedia allows fair-use images. I believe that information about it can be found at en:Wikipedia:Non-free content. Di (they-them) (talk) 17:36, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

FA arms

New shield design

Hi, I've just noticed that you uploaded an SVG version of the Football Association's arms (File:Coat of arms of the Football Association.svg); I had thought there wasn't one one on Commons so I was actually going about making one myself when I discovered yours. Anyway, thanks, you've saved me a lot of trouble! I have nevertheless redone the shield of the arms so that there is less blank space, and slightly repositioned the crest to make it more central. I have my doubts about whether the tongues and claws should all be red, since there's no mention of that in the blazon, but that's how they are in the drawing, so I suppose it can't be (very) wrong! I do worry that the bird is supposed to have its wings and toes in a different position: just taking off with spread wings, but it's beyond my capacity to change without wrecking it. I've added the image to most of the relevant Wikipedia pages - the image well deserves it! Thanks again! GPinkerton (talk) 16:14, 11 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi, you tagged this file that I uploaded as a copyright violation. It is not a copyright violation because the Taliban do not state on their website that the use of their emblem is limited or prohibited in any way. @AndrewJohnson999: Copyright doesn't work like that. All work is automatically copyrighted unless the artist explicitly says that their work is under a different license. Because there is no mention of copyright or licensing, that means that it is copyrighted by default. I recommend you read the page Commons:Copyright rules. Help with a personal heraldic project

I am trying to make a DNA-inspired collar for this Order File:Order of Life (heraldry).svg I was thinking of using a variant on this but I am unsure as to how to get the colors right while still making it apparent that there are 4 different nucleotides. Wiki Science Competition 2021 has started

Dear uploader of European Science Photo Competition 2015 and Wiki Science Competition 2017 and Wiki Science Competition 2019, we would like to remind you that Wiki Science Competition 2021 has started in the whole world. It is now completed in Russia (active in May), but it's still open in almost all the other countries.

If you want to take part in WSC2021, please consult this page. Only some national categories are associated to competitions with local prizes.

If you are an expert user, we remind you that images uploaded within the deadline can be included in any case in their national category even if not uploaded with the main interface.

Please keep in mind that there is a new category this year, that is "astronomy".

If you already took part in a country that has completed its upload phase, please consider improving the description in English of your files (click on the edit button), since such description is what the international jury will use to evaluate them. World finalists will be finalized after March 2020.

Flickr2Commons

I have just come across a few images you have recently uploaded from Flickr. I would appreciate it if in the future, you used the Flickr2Commons tool. This tool allows images to be moved to Commons from Flickr without having to download the images to your own computer. It also brings in the largest resolution of the image, as well making sure to list the correct license and url, making it easy for the automated Flickr Review system. Also, it is fairly easy to categorize images with this tool.
