Hi, I don't think your request is valid. This was already discussed recently. At the very least, a proper DR is needed. Regards, Yann (talk) 22:27, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
- Point 1: I referred explicitly to the previous discussion. Point 2: I also supplied explicit references to two prior publications, so the PD tag that is with the image is obviously invalid. Point 3: This isn't confusing. Choor monster (talk) 14:14, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
- Choor, I saw your undo at File:Clyde W. Tombaugh.jpeg and I thought I might be able to help explain what Yann is asking you to do. He is saying that this file is not eligible for a speedy deletion, not that it necessarily ineligible for deletion. He is is asking you to write up a deletion request instead of using the speedy delete tag. The easiest was to do that would be to click the "Convert to DR" button beneath the speedy deletion notice. If your speedy delete has been declined by the time you read this, instead go to File:Clyde W. Tombaugh.jpeg and clicki on "Nominate for deletion" in the toolbox on the left. This will open a new deletion request at Commons:Deletion requests/File:Clyde W. Tombaugh.jpeg. After creating the DR, you might want to check, add to your rationale, and follow the discussion of your deletion at Commons:Deletion requests/File:Clyde W. Tombaugh.jpeg. —RP88 (talk) 14:30, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
- Obvious copyvios are speedied. I identified explicit 1930 and 1965 copyrighted publications, and are listed in the Talk. The PD tag says something that is obviously false. Yann has absolutely no excuse for not reading the Talk, and for not reading my Edit Summary, and instead merely referring me to the previous now known to be incomplete and obsolete discussion that I explicitly mentioned as having read.
