Notes
136). Hästhuden bereddes i Wolgast våren 1633 (sid. 134 not 2, kvitton 12 april-5 maj). Beskrivning 1768 (sid.134): "på långt håll synes denna fordna rödbruna wälwäxte Klipparen icke wara stor, men håller dock Ryttarmål" (Den Svenska Fatburen IV, 16/9 1768, Stockholm 1768).

English: Horse skin with mane and hooves, mounted on wooden frame; made in six parts - head, neck and body and four legs. The parts are joined together with pins, locked with wooden nails.(p133) Mounted according to the dressage schools' perception of a properly placed horse.(p136) The horse skin was prepared in Wolgast in the spring of 1633.(p. 134 note 2, receipts April 12-May 5) The horse followed in the funeral procession through Germany to Wolgast, two receipts, one exhibited for a David Hufschmied and one for a certain Kasten Meyener show that the horse died in Wolgast and that the skin was recovered.(p.72, Wolgast accounts, verification 1031-1032) The horse's name is first mentioned by an eyewitness to Gustav Adolph's lit de parade in Spandau on 16 December 1632: "The horse on which his Majesty was shot, which was called den Streefen". (p71) The horse was sold to the king for 1,000 Reichstaler by the cavalry colonel Johann Streiff von Lauenstein according to a receipt written in Elbing 14/24 November 1631.(see Danielsson p. 217) Description by Raimondo Montecuccoli, 28 March 1654: "The horse had a pretty head and was of a strong, Oldenburg-like breed".

Description from 1768(p134): "In the end, this ancient red-brown well-grown mare does not appear to be very large, but still has a riding horse's dimensions".(Den Svenska Fatburen IV, 16/9 1768, Stockholm 1768)
