Köln/Leverkusen 2013/14 – 40 min + 2 Zusatzfilme 8 + 4 min Buch/Regie: Dr. Dagmar Hänel, Monika Grübel Essen ist ein zentrales Kulturelement. In und durch die täglichen Mahlzeiten erfahren und vermitteln Menschen Identitäten, Emotionen und Heimat. Auch Religion beeinflusst die Nahrungskultur, fast alle Religionen haben konkrete, mehr oder weniger detaillierte Speisevorschriften. Welchen Einfluss haben diese religiösen Speiseregeln auf das Alltagsleben von Menschen heute? In der Einwanderungsregion wie dem Rheinland leben Menschen unterschiedlichster Religionszugehörigkeit miteinander. Der Film begleitet eine jüdische und eine muslimische Familie in ihrem Küchenalltag. Sie zeigen uns, wie sie einkaufen, kochen und sich auf wichtige religiöse Feste vorbereiten. Dabei erzählen sie, was die Religion ihnen bedeutet. Ergänzt wird der sehr persönliche Einblick in alltägliche Familienküchen durch zwei Experten: Der Maschgiach der jüdischen Gemeinde Köln erklärt die Koscher-Regeln, zeigt aber auch, wie vielfältig die Umsetzungen im Alltag sein können. Die muslimische Expertin betreibt den Halalkauf, einen Supermarkt mit ausschließlich nach den Halal-Regeln hergestellten Produkten. |
