The category holds files related to "police vans of Poland", in which we already have Category:Police vans in Poland as this category's mother category. As the two categories cover almost the same objects, the category should be merged with Category:Police vans in Poland . 廣九直通車 (talk) 02:56, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
- I'm not sure. Other subcategories in Category:Police vans by country are not unified. An advantage of category "Police vans of Poland" or Category:Police vans of Germany is, that we have a nice collection of police vans belonging to one country in one category, more convenient for a casual viewver. On the other hand, "police vans in Poland" has a lot of subcategories refering to peculiar cities. Pibwl (talk) 21:32, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
- Or should we delete Category:Police vans in Poland and move all the child-categories and files inside the category itself to Category:Police vans of Poland? After all, as police vehicles only operates in the country's own border, I think there's no need to keep both the "of" and "in" categories.廣九直通車 (talk) 08:01, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
Oppose merging. Category:Police vans of Poland is a broad relationship category (designed, manufactured, owned, or operated by, or located in the country), while Category:Police vans in Poland is specific to any police van depicted while actually in Poland. Police vans probably spend the majority of their time in their own country, but no reason to assume this is exclusively true.
